Kid Flash| Identities

Requested by: -Beauty-Areum-

Prompt: #3

"I don't know if I want to kill you or kiss you right now."

"Can I pick?"

Warnings: None

Extra: You requested this when I first published this book and I felt so awful for unpublishing because you never got the chance to read this, but here it is now. I made a suit for the character as like a cherry on top. Enjoy!

"You know the plan right?"

"I'm not completely incompetent," (Y/n) frowned, wiggling her fingers as a ball of light twisted itself in between them.

"God, I still can't believe we're hiring kids now," Poison Ivy muttered, her red hair falling over her shoulders as she shook her head, "You're too young for this."

"The Justice League has their own young team you know that right?" (Y/n) asked, her brow raising in interest, "You've fought against them before."

"Yes, but I'm sure all those kids are traumatized one way or another," Poison Ivy muttered spitefully, "Us villains tend to have no mercy, even on kids."

"If you're so against kids getting into this then why have me here?"

"Because I need a diversion, and because my intel tells me that young team is around here on another mission. What better way to get away with stealing illegal chemicals than with another mission and a diversion?"

"Fairpoint," (Y/n) sighed, closing her palm and putting out the light, "And you remember my terms for this?"

"Yes yes, find the chemical you need for..." Poison Ivy trailed off, a questioning tone in her voice.

"What I need it for isn't important," (Y/n) stated, crossing her arms, "Just get it and I'll distract whoever comes around here."

"Good," Poison Ivy smiled, "You've got guts kid, but a word of advice, get out of this business, before it pulls you to far in. I wouldn't be too against fighting against you if it meant you didn't turn up like me."

"Duly noted," (Y/n) stated, "We'll see how the future goes."

"Right," Poison Ivy looked up at the chemical storage plant, "I'm not sure how many of the kids will show, but distract whoever does, you're young, they're young, show 'em some leg. You'll know when I have what I need."

"Got it," (Y/n) nodded, watching as Poison Ivy ran towards the plant.

(Y/n) sighed, leaning against the rough bark of a tree. A bit of it began to dig into her bare shoulders but there was no other place to lean on besides the building itself and sitting would lower her ability to fight. She heard a few thumps and crashes inside the chemical plant, signaling to her that Poison Ivy was inside.

Everything seemed to be going perfectly until she saw something bright flash in the corner of her vision, She stepped back into a thicker cluster of trees, praying that she wouldn't be seen.

"I don't see anything outside guys, do you want me to head back?" There was a pause in the voice, "I know I already did my part in the mission but anything is better than here, it's creepy, and I haven't even gotten my souvenir yet!" Another pause, "Fine."

(Y/n) peeked out from behind her hiding spot, putting a name to the costume. Kid Flash. (Y/n) took in a deep breath and prepared herself. Show 'em some leg, alright then. Finally, she stepped out into the dim moonlight, catching the young hero's attention.

"Let me guess, you came out here looking for a villain?" She questioned, a grin spreading across her face, "Looks like you found one."

"Who are you exactly?"

"I'll try not to take offense to that," (Y/n) sighed, "The names Solstice, I'll give you three guesses as to what I can do."

(Y/n) waited only a few second before she swung her hands and had Kid Flash pinned to a tree with solid light.

"Oh, you took too long," (Y/n) smirked, "Light manipulation, pretty neat right?"

(Y/n) noticed Kid Flash moving rapidly, his form blurring from his pace. She grinned, now knowing that her running theory was correct. She took a few steps closer to the hero. Close to the point of feeling his breath on her ear as she put her mouth next to his.

"Here's the really interesting thing about your powers, your ability to phase through things, only works on matter. And you know what light lacks?"

"Matter," Kid Flash grumbled.

"That's right," (Y/n) beamed, stepping back, "I'm really glad that theory worked too, otherwise we'd be having some problems, speaking of which."

(Y/n) hummed, leaning close to Kid Flash once again. She plucked the com from behind his ear, crushing it in her fingertips.

"Now no one will be interrupting us," (Y/n) smirked, "So, what are we gonna do is the question?"

"I'm gonna find a way out of here and put you in a prison," Kid Flash threatened.

"You can try Flash-Boy," (Y/n) tilted her head and looked closer at the hero. Something about his eyes, the way they sparked with electricity, she had seen that before, she saw them everyday.

Those eyes belonged to her partner in chemistry class, her best friend. They sparked the way Kid Flash's did when he got excited.

"Wally?"

"W-what?" The way Kid Flash's eyes widened and his voice raised an octave told (Y/n) everything she needed to know when it came to knowing who he was.

"Oh my God! Wally West! How did I not see it before!" (Y/n) placed her hands on her head, "Oh my God I can't believe this."

"How- What?" Wally asked in confusion, "How did you- I mean I'm not Wally, I don't even know a Wally."

"No it is you! I'd recognize those eyes anywhere! Oh this is so not good, this is- I'm so screwed."

"Hang on, you knowing who I am means I must know you right?"

"Wrong, very wrong," (Y/n) lied, "As much fun as I've had, tying you to a tree and flirting with you, I really think it's your time to leave."

"No wait, I do! I do know you."

"Nope, no you don't," (Y/n) denied, "You have no idea who I am now goodbye!"

"(Y/n) (L/n)!"

(Y/n) groaned, running a hand over her masked face, "We suck at hiding our identities."

"Only because we're best friends. What are you doing as a villain? I didn't even know you had powers!" Wally exclaimed.

"And I didn't know you were Kid Flash, I feel so stupid!" (Y/n) put her hands over her face, "You're gonna lock me up now aren't you? No matter what you know who I am, and you know where I live. I never should have taken this opportunity."

"Why don't you let me down from this tree then we'll talk."

(Y/n) sighed, allowing Wally to drop from his place on the tree. The two stared at each other, each one having a perfect opportunity to attack the other, but neither one of them taking it. What would be the point? Neither of them would have the heart to bring in the other.

"Why are you a villain?" Wally started off with the simplest question out of the bunch. Though simple wasn't the perfect term, shortest was probably better.

"I didn't really want to be a villain, but Mom got sick again, really sick. And with my Dad gone we couldn't afford the right treatment, and so when I started learning how to use my powers, I got into some bad stuff, then I heard Poison Ivy was looking for someone to be her distraction while she robbed a lab with chemicals that could help my Mom, I had to take that chance Wally."

"(Y/n) if you needed help you could have just told me," Wally put his hands on (Y/n)'s arms, "What kind of hero would I be if I didn't help a damsel in distress?"

"Damsel in distress?" (Y/n) scoffed, "You were the one playing damsel when you were stuck on that tree."

"I would appreciate it if we never spoke of that," Wally flushed in embarrassment, "Where'd you even get a suit?"

"I know someone who makes them. Look, I know what I'm doing is wrong, but this is for my Mom."

Wally sighed, conflicted. His best friend, and secret crush was in front of him, in need of help and guidance towards using her powers for a good cause, but it was in the job description that no matter who you were facing if they were a villain they had to be taken in one way or another.

"I can't let you steal those chemicals, but I can get you in with our team, they have connections that can help you."

"I'm not the one stealing the chemicals," (Y/n) reminded when a window shattering rang through the air, "Poison Ivy is."

"And I should go stop her," Wally mumbled, looking up at the building, "But we're talking about this on Monday, alright? I will help you (Y/n), I promise."

"I don't know if I should kiss you or kill you right now," (Y/n) mumbled, her former flirtatious nature shining through, "Killing you to keep my identity safe of course, it'd suck to hurt a pretty face like yours."

"Can I pick?" Wally asked cheesily, "I mean this pretty face should get a reward for saving you, right?"

"Even when I didn't need saving?" (Y/n) laughed.

Wally nodded, getting ready to run into the building. He paused, letting out a groan and face palming.

"I still haven't found a souvenir."

"How's this for souvenir," (Y/n) pulled Wally close to her, pecking his lips before pulling away.

"That works," Wally mumbled, his eyes sparkling with lightning again.

"Good, now go be a hero," (Y/n) pointed at the building, "I expect a meeting with your team within the next week."

"You got it babe," Wally assured, disappearing in a blur.

As soon as Wally entered the building (Y/n) saw Poison Ivy jump out. She sent (Y/n) a mock salute before she booked it, Wally's blur following after her. (Y/n) sighed, turning to start the trek home when she noticed a large flower blooming in front of her.

As the petals separated (Y/n) couldn't help but smile. Some of the villains were pure evil, but Poison Ivy was on the better side of the spectrum. A beaker full of the very chemical (Y/n) needed was sitting in the middle of the flower, a cork in the top to keep it from spilling.

"I technically didn't steal it," (Y/n) muttered thoughtfully as she took the vile from the plant, "So that means Wally doesn't have to know."

She gripped the vile tightly in her hand and continued the walk home, a smirk on her face, and excitement in her veins for what was to come.
