Good For You

This is one of my newer oneshots that I should probably wait to put out till later, but nothing else was done on such short notice so I decided this one is to go up anyway. It is based around chapter one of Crazyplan 24 animatics. The art and the song just gave me a really good and really bad idea. So, I present, this story.

Word Count: 1843

Warning(s): mentions of past relationships, mentions of past abusive relationships, ideas of relationships that aren't there, turning on each other after possession, past anxiet, platonic analogical but romantic in "ideas", mentions of abuse in general, towards the end, though, please tell me if there's anything else, i panic about this 24/7, have fun

Virgil's P.O.V.

I sat in the main room, waiting for the any of the others to come down. It was still early morning so I was the only one up. But I was kind of surprised Logan wasn't up and making coffee yet. I had started the coffee pot for him, knowing he and Patton would want coffee when they came down.

"Maybe he stayed up late on another project." I thought, looking at my phone. It could be since Thomas has had a lot on his mind these last few days. "Or maybe he--"

Footsteps started down the stairs, cutting me off from my thoughts. I saw Logan's shoes on the stairs as he walked down. I jumped up, waiting for him as he slunk down the stairs. It wasn't his usual posture, but I didn't think much of it. It seemed like he was just up late again last night.

"Morning, Lo." I said as he walked towards the kitchen. He didn't greet me back, just walked past me. I was confused and watched him for a moment.

"Logan?" I asked, standing and following him into the kitchen. He was bent over the counter by the coffee pot. The cupboard above was opened. I set a hand on his shoulder, trying to catch his attention as I saw his breathing was laboured. "Are you o-?"

He smacked my hand away. I stumbled back a bit, caught off guard by his quick, almost harsh motions. A melody similar ro Good For You started up. I tried to get to Logan again.

"Logan?" I said again, confused by his actions. A light popped up in the room, cascading around the entire area. I watched it as Logan turned back to me. Something had changed in his eyes. It was almost a hard, hateful look in his eyes.

"So you found a place where the grass is greener." Logan started singing, catching me off guard. I stepped towards him, but paused. "And you jumped the fence to the other side."

"Is it good?" Logan pressed towards me. I shuffled back, not sure what to do anymore. Then, he stepped back again and tilted his head away from me. "Are they giving you a world I could never provide?"

"Logan, what's going on?" I said, starting to feel tears prickle at the corners of my eyes. I didn't know what was going on, or why he was singing. "Did Roman put you up to this?"

"Well, I hope you're proud of your big decision." Logan started again, turning away from me. He walked away a bit, around the table then turned back towards me. "Yeah, I hope it's all that you want and more. Now, you're free from the agonizing life you were living before!"

I backed up, the image slowly starting to change.

"And you say what you need to say." The first image was of Logan and I. He had given me a gift card for music. Then it quickly changed to me leaning against him, asleep. "So that you get to walk away."

"It would kill you to have to stay trapped." The image changes again. Both of us were blushing it seemed. Logan was listening to my music. Then it changed to me and Logan kissing. We have never done anything like that. Especially since I only started staying with them a little less than a year ago. "When you've got something new."

Logan had turned away from me again sometime during the images. Tears were not only running down his face, but mine.

"Well I'm sorry you've had it rough." Logan sang, confusing me more. Tears were falling down my cheeks more. "And I'm sorry I'm not enough."

"Logan!" I said, backing away from him as he seemingly took a step closer to me. "None of that happened! We've never even been in a romantic relationship!"

He hunched over, eyes clenching shut.

"Thank God they rescued you!" An image flashed before me but it disappeared before I could have seen it.

"So you got what you've always wanted." Logan said, ignoring the tears. "So you got your dream come true, good for you."

"Good for you," he took a step forward, I took a step back, "you," another step forward, another step back, "you."

I was pressed up against a counter, leaning back as Logan was hunched over me. I closed my eyes, listening to the sound of two sets of feet make their way downstairs. Logan didn't seem to notice. The images started going on a repeated slideshow.

"Got a taste of a life so perfect." Logan continued as Patton and Roman rounded the stairs. They looked at us confused as Logan backed away. "So you did what you had to do."

"Virgil, what's going on?" Patton asked quietly as Roman stared at the slideshow.

"I'm not sure." I replied, tugging up my hood. The tears wouldn't stop falling.

"Good for you. Good for you!"

"I might know how to get through to him." Patton replied, looking up at Roman. "Roman, follow my lead?"

Roman nodded. Patton popped up behind Logan, tears beginning to form in his eyes for some reason.

"Does it cross your mind to be slightly sorry?" Patton sang at Logan. "Do you even care that you might be wrong?"

"Was it fun?" Patton continued as Logan turned towards him with his chin in the air. "Well, I hope you had a blast while you dragged me along."

They turned and Roman was standing back to back with Patton.

"And you say what you need to say." Roman sang angrily at Logan. It didn't seem to affect Logan at all. "And you play who you need to play."

"And if somebody's in your way." Roman continued as I looked at the images again. I swore I remember them from somewhere. It's someone else who is supposed to be in Logan's place. "Crush them and leave them behind."

Patton turned around, facing Logan with Roman. I could see some more tears in Patton's eyes as he sang with Roman.

"Well, I guess if I'm not of use; go ahead, you can cut me loose." They sang, tears forming in Patton's eyes again. "Go ahead now, I won't mind."

I watched as the slideshow stop. Logan seemed to grow above them, towering over us as he continued.

"I'll shut my mouth and I'll let you go. Is that good for you?" Logan said, pushing past them to me. They turned with him, confused as they had been ignored. I backed up again.

"Would that be good for you," Logan's left eye changed to a snake's, "you," then Roman's, "you," then Patton's.

"Deceit." I said, backing away more. They followed me out to the living room, circling me Roman and Patton joined Logan.

"I'll just sit back while you run the show. Is that good for you?" They sang together. Eyes glowing more. "Would that be good for you, you, you."

"All I need is some time to think."I sang, knowing what Deceit was after. "But the boat is about to sink. Can't erase what I wrote in ink." I ran my hands through my hair, frantic as I felt more tears coming down. "Tell me how could you change the story?"

I saw strings coming out of Logan, Roman, and Patton, all glowing yellow as Deceit started to show himself. The smile on his face told me he won.

"All the words that I can't take back." I said, turning fully towards Deceit. He held dolls of all of them. "Like a train coming off the tracks."

"'Cause the rails and my bones all crack." I stared at him, he started back, his smile continuing to grow. "I've got to find a way to stop it! Stop it! Just let me off!"

"So you got what you always wanted." They sang, their figures glowing above me. "So you got your dream come true. Good for you. Good for you, you, you."

Thomas was having an anxiety attack. I could feel it, the fear and panic starting to take over. I was having an anxiety attack. I didn't know what to do to stop it.

"Got a taste of a life so perfect." I was huddled on the floor, hands strung through my hair. "Now you say that you're someone new. Good for you."

"Good for you." Deceit came out, walking into the circle he created. "Good for you. Good for you."

"So you got what you always wanted." I remain curled on the floor, watching boots move towards me. Logan, Patton, and Roman were all tied up, passed out as Deceit came closer to me.

"You don't belong here." Deceit said.

"I know." I whispered. "I know."

"You belong with us, my dear. Come back to us." Deceit continued, holding out a hand. "Come with me and I'll leave them alone."

I looked up at the three, seeing them without the strings. Without the hate. I knew if I declined, Deceit would just continue to come back again and again.

"You promise to leave them alone?" I asked, staring up at Deceit and his held out hand.

"I do not promise, my angel." Deceit smirked. I looked at his hand, mine raising.

"Then it's a deal." I replied, taking Deceit's hand. "Take me home."

"That's my little angel." Deceit laughed, transporting us back to the Dark Realm. I watched as Logan, Roman, and Patton were all released from his hold. I looked down as I was taken into the Dark House. Two others were sitting on the couch, looking bored.

"Look who I didn't bring back." Deceit said, plopping into a chair. I shrunk back as my old friends looked up at me. Fear laughed, standing up as the other remained sitting.

"So the bitch decided to come back." He growled, backing me up into a wall. I winced as I felt his hand trail down my body. "But why?"

"I didn't make a deal with him." Deceit smirked, waving a hand in the air.

"Well, isn't that a surprise." Anger said, staying in his seat. "What's the deal?"

"If he did come back with me, I would leave the others alone." Deceit explained as I hid in my hoodie. "It wasn't the only thing to not get him back."

"So we can't deal with the other three?!" Anger said, standing. "Why the hell would you make that kind of deal."

"I didn't want him back, did you?" Deceit asked, jestering towards where I was pinned to the wall. "Unfair trade."

"Well, whatever the fucking deal was, it doesn't matter anymore." Fear said, turning back to me. "We got out precious Virgil back, now, didn't we?"

I whimpered softly, turning my head away from Fear as he leaned in. I closed my eyes as I felt his breath ghost over my neck. I could feel the smile twitch on his lips as I tried to shrink away from him.

"Let's break him back in, boys."
