Stupid cold.. they always got in the way of having fun! Today Y/N was supposed to be having a play date with Steve, then he was going to visit by Uncle Thor, then your bubba Loki was going to host a movie night for just the two of them . But now everything will have to be on hold because Y/N got a cold!
So here he was; pacifier in his mouth, towel over his head, padding on with no pants because his body was overheating, and wearing his favorite T-Shirt that Loki owned.

And of course, Loki right by his side. They would never leave you when you were sick, never ever! Especially since you were in Babyspace right now.

"Sorry about this darling, but I'm going to have to take this away for a moment."
Loki gently took away Y/N's pacifier, making him start to whine instantly.

Loki chuckled, "I know baby boy, I know.. I'm so mean, aren't I?" He teased. Loki quickly replaced your pacifier with a bottle full of apple juice. It was mixed with a hint of medicine, because he knew Y/N wouldn't have taken it directly.
Loki picked up Y/N from the bed and cradled him, holding the bottle to his mouth so it didn't fall from his grasp.

"You're doing great, bubs."
She shushed, she kept going in a back and forth motion to keep Y/N at ease.. it was almost enough to make him fall asleep, but Loki wouldn't let'em. Y/N couldn't take another nap just yet! That would throw him off his schedule.

After a few more moments of being rocked, Y/N finished the bottle. Loki took it away from him and placed him over his shoulder, patting his back so he didn't get a case of the hiccups.
Y/N managed to let out a small burp, that's progress!

"Good boy, Y/N. You did great."
He kissed Y/N's cheek.
Loki placed Y/N back down on the bed and rested the towel on his head, it was now freshly warm because of the bucket it was in.

"Aa! Aa!"
Y/N made grabby hands for Loki, she raised an eyebrow with a smile. "You want ups, or do you want me to lay with you, baby?"
Y/N pointed to the bed, scooting over a little bit for Loki to get in.
The god of mischief smiled and hopped in the bed.

*Buzz Buzz*

"Oh, who's this-"
Loki took her phone out of her pocket, on the screen in bright words was "Semi-Stable 100-Year-Old "
Loki showed Y/N the phone, "You wanna call? It's most likely Steve. You don't have to if you're still not feeling well."

"Ba!"
He had a determined little pout on his face, Loki laughed. "Alright, alright. Here you go baby."
Loki clicked on the green button then handed it over to Y/N, he held the same cute expression.

Then suddenly Steve was on the phone! But his eyes were waaaaay to close to the screen so all that could be seen was his sky blue eyes.
"Y/NNNNNNN! PAPA Y/N IN THE PHWONE!"

The phone got readjusted from the other side and now Loki and Y/N could see Bucky and Steve. Bucky had a look of pity on his face seeing Y/N so sick,
"How you feeling Y/N?"

Y/N gurggled some gibberish, as if he was telling a story to Steve and Bucky. Now it was time for Bucky to chime in.
"He's doing alright, his fever has gone down a little, his throat is still sore I think."

"Jeez, that sucks."

"Y/N! I-I HWAVE PWAY DOUGH WE CWAN PWAY WITH NEXT TIME! GWEAT BETTER SO WE CWAN PWAY, OTAY?"

Y/N's eyes sparkled at the mention of play dough. It feels like forever since he's gotten to play with that! Ever since the last play dough incident with Thor he hasn't been able to play with play dough anymore.

"Aaa!! Woo'oo!"
Y/N giggled, he gave a thumbs up to Steve, Steve did the same through the camera.

"Well, we just wanted to check in with you two. We hope you feel better Y/N."
Bucky waved his metal arm goodbye, Steve waved also. "Byee byeee!"

Y/N tried his best to wave but he didn't really get the hand of it on his own. Loki gently grabbed his hand and started waving it back and forth, Y/N gurgled something to the screen.
Then just like that, the call was ended.

"Well, that was a nice surprise, right?"

Y/N nodded, giggling too.

"I'm glad you think so, too." Loki placed his hand on Y/N's forehead, the fever seemed to be going down by the minute.
Loki smiled, "I think you'll be better soon, baby."

The Mischeif Maker removed the covers for a moment and laid Y/N all the way down, the padding he wore had been used.
Loki gathered the supplies quickly and made work of changing him.

"There, all clean." He blew raspberries on Y/N's stomach, making him giggle.
Loki lifted Y/N into his arms, "Your so cute, you know that?"

~~TimeSkip~~

Loki and Y/N were on the couch together watching a movie. They had their movie night after all!
Loki let Y/N pick, he ended up choosing Scooby Doo. Loki's never seen it before, but he's a fan of solving mysteries or predicting what will happen.
Y/N on the other hand, was just happy to spend time with his bubba.

"I think it's starting to get past someone's bedtime,"
Loki teased, Y/N whined ay the thought of going to sleep.
"Hehe, we can just rest here darling. The movie can be some background noise."
Loki reached into his pocket to reveal a pacifier, he gently placed it in between Y/N's lips.
Loki kissed Y/N on the forehead, and rested him on his chest.

"Feel better soon, baby boy."
