Today. Was. ROUGH.

Work at the cafe was terrible! There we a massive rush hour, and people weren't being patient at all.
You were making drinks for almost 3 hours straight, and afterwards you were on the drive thru shift.
Which resulted you having 5 interactions with some "Karens."
So it was safe to say that Y/N was having a pretty shitty day.
Today made his head feel fuzzy.. and weird.
Like, in between headspaces weird. Half of you wanted to be held and cared for, but the other just wanted to be alone and take a shower.

Despite this,
Y/N right now was just walking home to the small apartment him and Loki lived in. It was small, but you too were happy together.
"I never want to touch a iced drink ever again.."
You groaned, also chuckling to yourself at the same time.

You jungled the keys a small bit to find the right one to open the door, then boom! The key was the first one on the key holder you owned, pretty lucky right?
You opened the door, and gave a small sigh of relief.. but you were still somewhat irritated.

You closed the door then walk inside to the small scenery of the apartment.
You could see Loki on the couch, he notice you almost right away.
"Back already darling?"

You gave a somewhat (sad) chuckle,
"Heh, I always come back at this time babe.."

You hang your coat on the coat hanger and start to go to the bathroom.
Loki was confused by this. You ALWAYS give him a "I'm home!" kiss. He could tell something was wrong with you, and he was ready to find out.

"Y/N."
Suddenly you heard Loki's voice right behind you, it made you jump!
"AH-! Loki I thought we talked about the teleporting.."

"That's no way to talk to papa, now is it baby?"

Y/N slightly blushed, "I'm not little right now.."

"I figured. But you seem stressed dearest."
You sigh. You knew he would catch on quick, but you still didn't want him to..
Without you being able to react he picked you up and started to walk you back to the living room. Once he was there he sat on the couch then sat you on his lap.
He started to rub circles on your back,
"What's going on with my prince today, hm? You seem so upset.."

You shook your head,
"I don't wanna talk about it."

"Y/N, please.. I only want to fix things for you sweetheart."

Those words held on to your heart, it made the fuzziness grow more and more.. your head didn't know what it wanted, you couldn't even tell what headspaces you were in between anymore.

Sniffle

Sniffle

"Mwy head.."
You mumbled, Loki frowned.
"What about your head, prince? Do you have a headache?" His tone seemed to be in a panic.

But you could only shake your head,
"Nwo.. iwt feels sad.. it doesn't know if it wants to he bwig or little.. and work was terrible, people are always rude.. and college is taking every. bit. of. energy. I. have-"
At this point, tears have already stained your shirt. Your poor mind was racing with so many thoughts at once, it was hard to imagine putting it at bay.

"Shussh, shush.."

However those thoughts were soon put on hold, when you could hear Loki's soft whispers.
"Baby Boy, take deep breaths in and out with me, okay..?"

..You nodded.

"Good boy, 1 2 3, and in.."

"And out.."

"In.."

"And out.."

"In.."

"And out."

With those few breaths, you were already beginning to feel slightly better. Loki always knew what to do in time of moment, it's one of the reasons why you love him. She's so kind, so caring.. yet people see her only for her past actions. You knew she was more than that, and she would give you the world.

Pulling you out of your thoughts, he cleared his throat.
"Firstly, I'm so proud of you for saying what was on your mind baby.. that was so brave of you. And second, I'm sorry that the world wasn't treating you so kindly today my love. But, there's always going to be wonderful days that await you in the future. You have to just keep hanging in there, and it will all work out in the end. I know so, because you're so hardworking, maybe too even hardworking. Me and you together, can get through that mean time that your mind is giving you today."

You were speechless.. you didn't even want to talk.. all your body could do was produce tears right now.

Loki brought you closer,
"Ssshh.. shhh.. let it all out baby boy, you're gonna be okay." He kissed the top of your forehead.

For about 10 minutes, he cradled you into you were fully calm again.
He rested you on his lap once more.
"Are you feeling any better, baby?"

You nodded, tiredly.

"Oh darling, you must be so tired."
Loki cooed, he picked you up and started to walk to the kitchen. "Cmon, let's go make you a bottle, and then we can get some sleep. How's that sound?"

You did a small sleepy babble, which made Loki chuckle.
"I'd thought you'd like that idea."

~Timeskip~

After being fed your nighttime bottle, putting on PJ's, you two were finally in bed. He tucked you in very gently, and slipped a pacifier in your mouth. It was your favorite color, (F/C)!
He then kissed you on the cheek,

"Goodnight baby boy, I love you.."
