The flu.
THE DANG FLU!

Hajime had caught the flu a few days ago, and he was feeling like absolute crap.
He hated being sick. Who doesn't? He didn't want to stay on the couch while just watching TV all day, he wanted to hang out with his friends! He was supposed to have a play date with Kazuichi and Chiaki today, but Nagito said he couldn't.

So here he was, in the bed with a warm towel rag on his head, watching Sonic Boom.
He giggled from time to time when Knuckles did something funny on screen, he was his favorite!

"Hajime, it's that time."
Nagito came in the room with a bottle of bubblegum medicine in his hand.
Oh no..

"Nuh- uh. I dwont need it."
Hajime pouted, still giving his full attention the screen in front of him.
"I no need it! I not sicky."

Nagito chuckled, "I know you don't wanna be, but you are unfortunately baby. So in order to get better,"
Nagito made quick work of pouring the medicine onto the spoon, "You need to drink this like the big, strong boy you are!"
Nagito encouraged, but Hajime wasn't having it. He puffed his cheeks and kept his mouth closed.

"Cmon bubs, just one sip?"
Nagito put the spoon closer to Hajime's mouth, in a fit Hajime pushed the spoon away somewhat harshly. It almost spilt on the bed! Nagito have a sigh of relief when it stayed on the spoon.

"I don't wanna!- cough cough"

Hajime frowned and held his throat, "Owie.."

"See? Your body needs that medicine, baby."

Nagito patted Hajime's head, "We need to fix that throat of yours. Once you take it, you'll feel all better. Then you'll be able to go to that playdate in no time!"

"..Rweally?"

Nagito nodded with a reassuring smile,
"Really really. I'm sure of it."

Hajime took a deep breath,
"Otay.. in ready. Cwan you do airplane tho?"

Nagito chuckled at the small request, it was expected but it still brought Nagito amusement.
When it came to being spoon fed Hajime LOVED the "choo choo train" or "the airplane" !
It was most likely because of all of his toy trains and airplanes that he played with.
"Okay baby boy,"

Nagito started to make a motor noise with his lips,
"Here comes the airplaneeeee~ Broooooooommmm!"
He gently fed his little one the medicine. Hajime scrunched up his nose from the horrible, yucky taste of the medicine. Yet he managed to gulp the spoonful down.

Nagito clapped slowly but enthusiastically,
"Good job, prince! I'm proud of you."

Hajime started clapping too in a silly way,
"I dwid it!" He was proud of himself, as he should be! Sometimes drinking that medicine is very hard. So he gave himself a pat on the back. Nagito had told him to do that when he was proud of himself!

Nagito took off the washcloth from Hajime's head, and placed it in the bucket that was near the bed in case Hajime had to get sick.
"Do you wanna take a bath so you feel relaxed before bath home?"

"Hm.. Ywes Please!"
Hajime jumped out of bed eagerly to go find his bath toys.
"Easy there, buddy! Don't fall!"

Hajime  went to the closet and went to get his bubble soap, his boats, and one of his favorite army men that Nekomaru gave him.
"I rweady, Papa!"
He does a small happy dance holding all of the items in his hands.

"Okay, please stay here and watch your cartoons for a bit, alright? I'm gonna go start your bath and make sure it's nice and warm."

"..There we go, perfect temp."
Nagito took his hand out of the water and wiped the water off of them. "Baby! Please come here, you're bath is ready!"

"Cwoming!"

Nagito smiled, 'He seems to be getting better already.'

Poor Hajime has been sick for a while, but it seems he's finally starting to get his energy back. It's been rough for him, being in and out of his headspace. Sometimes he'd wake up crying because his head hurt so much. It broke Nagito's heart.. so seeing him being more talkative and more bouncy then he was makes him so happy and relieved.

"I hwere!"

Hajime was in his swim trucks, and you could notice a swim diaper on as well. Nagito put that on before hand though while the bath was running. But the swim shorts? That was all Hajime.

"What's with the swimsuit baby? We aren't going to the beach."
Nagito giggled.

"I know! But I pway pretend!"
Hajime rushed to the tub and hopped in, "Cwan you be my lifeguard papa? Pleaaaaseeee?"

"Of course I will, it would be an honor."

"Yaaayy!!"

Nagito grabbed the plastic cup near him and filled it with water, dumping it over Hajime's head.
He then placed his hand over his forehead,
"Your fever seems to be down, that's a good thing."

"Yay! I no sicky no more?"
Hajime asked.

"I hope so, but we're gonna give it one more day to make sure your absolutely not sick anymore,"

"Noooo.."
Hajime pouted, closing his eyes because he could feel his hair getting washed. That meant the bubbles might go in his eyes, and he didn't want that happening ever again!

"Oh cmon baby, it won't be so bad. You get to spend another day with Papa! That's fun right?"

Hajime gave Nagito a "Nope, not really" kind of look, making Nagtio do a fake gasp.

"I'm offended!"

Hajime giggled, "I kidding! I wanna hwave fun with youuuu"

Nagtio laughed along with him, "I'm glad, you scared me there!"

It was finally Hajime's night time.
He had a sippy cup filled with Angel Milk in his hand, made just for him!
Nagito always knew how to make it just right.

However Nagtio put a little bit of his medicine in there, because he knew Hajime would be fussy if he'd have to take another spoonful again.

His bottle was almost gone.
His throat was no longer dry.

His eyes started to flutter.. and soon, his eyes closed fully.

Nagtio smiled and went to the table next to their bed, and grabbed Hajime's pacifier, placing it into his mouth gently.
Then finally, he kissed his little ones forehead.

"I love you baby.. I hope you feel better in the morning."
