Y/N the Headgehog.

They made it to the big leagues!! They was friends with Sonic, Amy, Sticks, Tails, Knuckles, and of course Shadow. But it wasn't until recently that Sonic asked them if they wanted to join the team in actual combat.

Of course they accepted the offer!
Who could decline fighting alongside their best friends?

Like Sonic, you were able to run pretty fast with your shoes, and like Shadow, you could warp time. So you learned a few techniques from your friends and just like that you were a pro!

But now your skills were being brought to the test.

Since Amy, Sticks, and Tails weren't able to fight, it was your turn to go into battle against DR EGGMAN.

The evil doctor came to Sonic's cabana in broad day light! He was surely having a bone to pick with one of you.

Sonic, You, Knuckles, and Shadow all stood in front of the huge machine Dr. Eggman was sitting in.

Sonic scoffed, "What do you want, Eggman? It's four in the afternoon, people are trying to sleep!!"

"Well silly, silly me for waking you up during your nap time. NOT!"
Dr. Eggman screamed through a megaphone, "Feast your eyes on my new invention! All types of rockets and fancy weapons on this baby!"

All four of you stood silent.

"Uhh.. kinda looks the same as it always used to be to me?"
Knuckles muttered with a confused look.

Doctor Eggman scoffed, clearly offended.
"What?! You can clearly see the new paint job! And the new rocket holes are obvious too! HOW does it not look the same?!"

The four were getting amused from Doctor Eggmans frustration, it was funny seeing him rant on about an invention that he was trying to cause havoc with.
"Nope. Looks the same as it always did, look are we going to fight or what?"
Shadow muttered.

"Oh? So you want to pick a fight? Very well, if it's what you want it is what you will revive!!"

Without any further warnings Dr. Eggman pushed multiple buttons that released a whole bunch of rockets towards the four of you.
You could fear growing, but you didn't let it take over.
You decided to make the first move and run towards Dr. Eggman's battle body, dodging all of the rockets that were coming your way.

You took a leap of faith towards the battle body and charged up a kick, landing on the side of Dr. Eggman's machine!
"Holy crap! I did some pretty good damage!"

Doctor Eggman was FUMING, "Hey!! Stay in your place pest!!"

You were still in the air about to get down, but before you could..
Eggman released a rocket that went straight to you.. bringing you straight into the harsh feeling of sand.

"Y/NNN!!!"

You could only hear the faint screaming coming from your friends.. but your eyes shut closed..
Soon not being able to hear or see anything at all.

~TimeSkip~

"They're still breathing, so that's good. I think if we give them a few minutes they'll be up again by dark."

"It's already night! What time is "dark" to you?"

"Sorry, what I meant to say was evening hours, I guess like at midnight?"

"I can't believe that rocket hit them. Pretty brutal stuff."

The voices kept on whispering to you. Like you could hear them from far away, despite them feeling so loud. Your mind wanted to get up. But your body didn't feel ready.. all of it felt shut down.
Y/N's mind wasn't ready to give up. Their mind continued to focus on the voices around them, maybe it could be encouragement to get up?

"Good thing Tails was here to get them patched up in time. Hopefully their vessel will be able to heal soon."

With a whole bunch of focus Y/N tried to open their eyes. They were strong enough to do so. But.. their vision was blurry, they couldn't see much but small specs of white. They closed their eyes again then attempted to open them again, you could see things began to get clearer.

Shadow was on the couch with you, resting his hand on your leg. Sonic looked like he was watching TV, a video game was on the screen. Knuckles was still talking, you couldn't see where he was, but you could hear him loud and clear.
You were happy they turned out to be okay and unharmed.

Now it was time for the second part, speaking.
This was more difficult.. because as your caregivers were around you, you could feel yourself slipping smaller, smaller, and smaller.
However, with all the strength you could muster, you managed to gurgle some words.

You could see Sonic and Shadow turn to you in shock.

"S-she's awake?"
Shadow muttered.

"SHES AWAAAKE!!"
Sonic screamed with a whole bunch of energy, Knuckles was in the kitchen, zooming in the scene at the news.

The loudness made you whine, you realized your body was starting to squirm a ton. Nothing about this position was comfortable!
Shadow pressed his fingers to his lips to shush the other two, "Calm down. Yes, it's fantastic that they're awake." Shadow picked you up, laying you down bridal style on his lap, "But Y/N regressed. They've seem to slip far down too, poor Y/N."
He said with a sad town, he was rocking you back and forth a little bit.

"Poor Y/N.."
Knuckles cooed, he kneeled down to where you were laying. He started playing with your fingers a little, the feeling of his gloves surprised you.. but you didn't move.

Sonic kneeled to your level too, "Don't worry Y/N, we gave Eggman a beat down for you, well.. me and Knucks did. Shadow was taking care of you."

You managed to giggle slightly. Your caregivers smiled, your giggle could make anyone smile!
You tried to move around in Shadow's lap, but your body still hurt too much. You looked down to see a ton of white bandages wrapped around your tummy, it made you scared.

"Don't worry, little one. It's only so your body can heal, you won't have to wear them for too long."
Shadow reassured, his words made you feel a little better. But it didn't stop you from feeling uncomfortable.

"Here, how about this?"
Knuckles took you from Shadow's arms, Shadow looked a little jealous.

"Let's change you into something more comfy, yeah? Sonic you have some of Y/N's pajama's right?"

"Uhh, yeah! I think so, here I'll come with you to check."

Knuckles with You in his arms followed Sonic into a spare bedroom.
The room wasn't anything too special, just a small bed, plenty of toys, a closet, and a whole bunch of blankets were on the ground. This room was in need of a major clean up session!

Sonic rummaged through the closet and found a onesie that snapped on the bottom. It had cute animals on it!
"Here, we got this one!"
Sonic tossed the onesie to Knuckles, he caught it with ease.
"Alright, baby. Let's get you dressed!"
He said in a babyish tone, Y/N gurgled back some gibberish.

He sat you up towards his chest and put your head through the onesie head hole, your adorable big (E/C) coming through. Knuckles picked you up then laid you down quickly, buttoning the bottom of the onesie.

"Aww there you go! Look at you, cutie!"
He bopped your small nose, making you squeal with joy! Y/N even clapped their hands a bit!

"Alright Knucks quit hogging Y/N it's my turn."
He ran fast my towards you and picked you up in a matter of seconds. Knuckles gasped in a goofy way, "I'm not hogging nobody! Jeez.."
A small pout formed on his lips, he crossed his arms and walked back to the living room where Shadow was.

With you now with Sonic, he decided that you must be pretty hungry. You've been asleep for a long time, you only ate breakfast!
So in a flash, he quickly made two bottles for you. Both (Warm/Cold), with honey and vanilla. Just the way you liked it. He carried you with one arm and held the bottles in his other arm.

"Make way you two!"
Sonic said with cockiness in his tone, Knuckles and Shadow moved over to different sides of the couch with a grumble.
Sonic sat you down on his lap, with your head on his chest.
"Open up kiddo."

He held the bottle close to your mouth, you happily accepted the bottle.. your throat felt so hoarse. The milk was soothing down your throat.
Knuckles and Shadow looked at you in wonder, how was it that you were so adorable?!

In only a few minutes, your first bottle was gone. When Sonic took it away you started to whine a little bit.
"One second, kiddo. Annnd,"
He once again put the milk to your mouth, you started suckling contently. "There! Drink up, baby."

"Good call with the milk, she must be hungry."
Shadow patted Sonic on the back.

Sonic chuckled, "I figured, to be fair I could go for a bite too. Is anything open right now? I'm starving."

"How about that burger place? It's only like.. 8:00? It doesn't close till 9!"
Knuckles mentioned.

"I guess I could go for that.."
Shadow stood up, "Alright then, me and Knuckles are going to get food, Sonic watches Y/N."

"Ughh! How come he gets to stay with Y/N! I want to too."

"I.. I need help with directions."
Shadow said sheepily, Knuckles groaned at his statement.

"Fine. Cmon dork let's get there before it closes!"
Knuckles pulled on Shadow's arm, and in a flash the two were gone.
Sonic chuckled,
"Guess it's just you and me now, huh?"

You didn't say anything, you were still suckling on your bottle contently.

"Get better soon, Y/N."
