Because SHEILD is an information spy thingy they know a loooooot about LGBTQ+ stuff and the like

So SHEILD made it mandatory in 1990 that all SHEILD facilities needed at least 4 bathrooms and you can only get into each with specific key cards to help prevent any dangerous situations.

When you get recruited they ask for what your pronouns are and put it on your key card and remind you that they have a fuck load of bathrooms and if not that many at least 4 (nonbinary, agender, male, and female) to help out.
