Harvey / Nick / Caliban: The Beach Episode
Harvey's POV
In all honesty... I really don't know how this happened. I somehow managed to not get one, but two boyfriends. And they couldn't have been just some regular people. Noooooo. They had to be a warlock and the Prince of Hell. Caliban and Nick had taken a liking to me and as much as I don't want to admit it, I like them too. Well, I'd have to since I am dating them. As weird as those two are with their witchcraft that I still don't fully understand, I still lov- like. Like. I like them. Oh god. No wonder Sabrina calls us the chaotic couple.
Speaking of, I was walking to meet with Roz, Sabrina, Nick, Caliban, Theo, and Robin at Dr.C's. I got down the street for the shop when I suddenly wasn't walking by myself anymore. A twister of fire appeared on my left and a figure shifted into existence on my right. They somehow know exactly where I am and frankly? I don't wanna know how. Two pairs of arms wrapped around me. One on my shoulders and the other on my waist.
"Hi, Nick." I turned and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey, Caliban." I turned my head the other way and kissed his cheek. We weren't worried about people seeing us being affectionate in public. Considering the three of us are all built, most people didn't attempt anything. There was that one time Billy called me a fag and these two were seconds away from pouncing at him. I didn't like violence, but these two had no problem with it. That would've been the end of it if Billy didn't double down and ask if they were my "Faggot boyfriends". That didn't go over well. There was no magic involved. Just straight-up fighting, It was the two of them against Billy and five other guys. Let's just say that the two of them walked away from that fight rather cheery.
We walked inside of the bookshop and Theo was browsing the LGBTQ+ section with Robin by his side. Robin only comes to visit. He spends most of his time in Fairie to keep his powers up. Although, he does frequently come to the mortal world because he can't stay away from Theo. Those two were made for each other. Theo looked up from the copy of Red, White, and Royal Blue he was looking at and locked eyes with me.
"Harvey, Nick, Cal! You're here!" Theo ran over and wrapped his arms around the three of us. As soon as he let go I pried myself away from my two boyfriends and hugged him independently. I made sure to give Robin a hug too. Robin has been a great friend to all of us. He's done more than enough to earn all of our trust.
"Where's everyone else?" Caliban asked. He was dressed in mortal clothes to blend in. Do you know how difficult it was to persuade Caliban to wear a shirt everywhere? He does not like doing that one bit. Nick and I had to make an agreement with him that he had to wear a shirt out of the house, but inside was free rein. I'm okay with this though because I get to see him walk around shirtless all the time.
I live with Nick and Caliban in our two-bedroom apartment. After I came out to my father he kicked me out. He said that now both of his sons are dead, made me pack my belongings, and threw me out. Nick and Caliban were waiting outside for me and when I walked out of my house in tears, they weren't happy. My dad was suspiciously beat up by the next day. They probably cursed him actually. I explicitly told them not to do anything like that. They most likely didn't listen to me though. Now that I think about it, they don't listen to me a lot. I'm gonna have to fix that later.
"They're sitting at one of the booths waiting so we can go." It took us a little bit of planning, but we're taking a trip to the beach. We don't live near a beach so we're going to teleport there. Normally I would be averse to the idea, but having two magic boyfriends has gotten me used to it. At first being around magic was a little triggering but now it's part of my normal life. It's part of me.
"Great, let's go get them." We went from the bookshop to the restaurant. Roz and Sabrina are sitting at a middle booth with two milkshakes in front of them. There was also a cooler and bag with supplies next to Roz's feet.
"Are you guys ready to go?" I asked as we approached them. Sabrina stood and stretched and Roz followed suit.
"Yep. Let's go" We all exited the store and walked into an alleyway. My boyfriends grabbed hold of me and we teleported to an empty beach in California. It was hidden away somewhere, I'm not exactly sure. Leave it to the witches and warlocks to find it though. Maybe they used it for sacrifices or something though. Not a very fun thing to think about so we're gonna cut that train of thought off it's tracks.
"BEACH TIME!" Sabrina yelled. She sprinted off into the water with Roz not far behind. My partners ripped their shirts off (Literally in Caliban's case. He hates wearing shirts so much.) and went in after them. That left Robin, Theo, and I to set up everything. As we set up Ambrose and Prudence shifted into existence in front of us.
"Hello, goblins and weirdos," Prudence said as she lowered her glasses. And frankly, I was a little bit offended.
"Why do we humans have to be the weirdos when you guys signed away your rights at your demon bat mitzvah?" Prudence at least had the decency to look offended while Ambrose looked like he agreed with me.
"Well, he's not far off." She gawked at her boyfriend.
"Didn't even put up a fight." She crossed her arms, shook her head, and went to go sit out in the sand. Ambrose followed her with a line of pleas. As we neared the final stages of getting ready, I was lifted into the air in a sneak attack. I already knew who was pulling this stunt so I actively resisted.
"Hey! Put me down I'm not done setting up!"I screamed as I was dragged towards the water.
"Robin and Theo can handle it. Come have some fun you stick in the mud." Nick cheered as the water grew closer and closer.
"Come on Harvey, it's all three of us in this relationship, not just two." Sometimes I actually forget that. Well, not forget but choose to deny it. Those two seem like they would be a better couple than the three of us. I'm just too different sometimes. They both grew up in a world of magic and sex holidays and I grew up with a brother that loved me and a father that didn't. I didn't have satanic nursery rhymes and education in the darks arts, I had a pack of crayons and white paper. Why they ever chose to be with me I wouldn't know. But it's... nice having people who love me as they do. Except for when they're actively trying to throw me in the ocean. Damn my muscular and handsome boyfriends. It was not active anymore because as soon as they were deep enough I was thrown in. The water was actually rather warm so it was okay I guess. I did get a little saltwater in my eyes though.
"You guys are awful, I want a divorce," I said as I splashed water at them. Pretty soon all of us were engaged in a smash war. Water guns had been acquired and factions had been formed. That's a little over-exaggeration but It's close to the truth. After I while I left the water to go cook food for everyone. When Ambrose came with Prudence, they brought the grill and we brought the food in the cooler. I got to cook because other than Ambrose, I think I'm the only one here that knows how to grill. Plus I enjoy doing it so I'm gonna seize the opportunity. My dad taught me how to do it, one of the only good things he's taught me.
The food took about 45 minutes to finish cooking. As soon as it did I called everyone over and we all sat down and ate as a family. Because that's what we are, a family. One that has literally been to hell and back for each other. Eating was full of chatting and jokes between all of us. When we finished I forbade anyone from going into the water until half an hour had passed. I even had to threaten Caliban and Nick with no cuddles from me. We did spend that time making sandcastles and turning Sabrina into a sand mermaid. The tail was very beautiful and the designs were flawless. It did take most of us to do it and magic so I'm not sure if that counts.
After a half out we all rushed back in the water. We were in there for a long time. The sun soon started to go down and the sunset looked beautiful on the water. It was like seeing a real-life version of the scene from the lion king. But like, reversed. After the sun had gone down we went for the last event. We had floating lanterns that were powered by fire, like a hot air balloon. All of our groups had a lantern. Me and my boyfriends, Ambrose and Prudence, Theo and Robin, and Sabrina with Roz. We lit them up, some with magic and some not, and laughed them into the air at the same time. They all spun around and danced in the night sky. I pulled Nick and Cal a little closer.
"I love you both." That was the first time I said it to them. They've both said it many times before but I've always been hesitant. I've had my doubts, more about myself than about them, but I'm pushing those to the side and finally letting myself be open and happy. They both look bewildered and surprised. But ultimately, they looked excited.
"We love you too Harvey." Caliban hugged me.
"We're happy that you were ready to tell us." Nick kissed my cheek. All of the terrible things I went through were worth just getting to this one point in time. Fighting satan is nothing when I have these two with me now.
"Brina, let's all take a picture with our middle fingers up and send it to your dad." I had a devious smile on my face.
"Yes, and put fuck satan on it," Theo added. So we all got ready for the photo and sent it to him. Screw Lucifer, he's a little bitch. He's lucky Madam Satan let him stay in hell. Caliban is still technically a prince of hell but it's mostly just a political thing now. Besides, he likes being around regular people now. We're all regular SHIRT WEARING members of society.
