Pushover (Jack Morrison x Female Reader)
(Y/N) was a push over, she knew that, oh she definitely knew that. Being hired for overwatch to help with paperwork and what-not was tiring, she wasn't the most athletic (as seen by her pudgier form) but once Angela had seen her abilities for medicine she had quickly asked her join, more than happy to finally have another full time healer. Jack Morrison on the other hand was a bit more reserved about the female joining, though her cheerful self had quickly wormed into his heart even if he didn't express it.
Which brings us to now, Jack had been swamped with paper work for the past two months, barely taking any breaks and stressed out of his mind so (Y/N) wanted to help her commander. Though that quickly escalated when he kept giving her more and more work.
Hearing the door open (Y/N) doesn't even look up as she quickly finishes the last paper for the final stack.
"Are you done with these?" A deep voice asks, looking up she see's her commander. Shining him a small smile to hide her tiredness, she nods.
"Yup I just finished-"
The poor girl didn't get to finish as Jack dropped another pile on her desk, the finished papers waving slightly making her eyes widen. Was he holding that when he walked in? She didn't know but she was too focused on her impending doom.
"Well, can you finish these up for me as-well?" Jack asks, silently hoping she would say no, but much to his dismay she bites her bottom lip and nods.
"Of corse Sir." (Y/N) says politely grabbing the pen she dropped.
Jack has to fight the frown that pulls at his lips, he had been over working her to the core trying to get her to say no. He had seen how the others would accidentally walk all over the poor girl, she was a people pleaser who would do anything to help others. He wanted to help her grow a back bone, tired off seeing her not look up for herself but it hadn't been working.
"Are you sure?" He presses. "This is an awful lot and you already had enough for the day, are you absolutely sure you can handle this?"
Pursing her lips together, (Y/N) re-thinks her options. She's oh so tired and absolutely starving but she didn't want to let her commander or the team down, she could pull her own weight. This isn't that much paper work, she could totally do this. . . right? "Yup! Definitely!" She says, forcing herself not to scream out.
Nodding Jack turns on his heel and walks out, once he closes the door behind him he lets out a sigh, dragging his hand down his face. He really thought she would say no, she hadn't had a break all day today and it's nearing night fall. Walking down the hallway deep in thought he ends up wandering to the shared 'lounge'.
"Oi old man, when are you going to stop over working that poor (Y/N)?" Hana asks not even looking up from the small portable console in her hands.
Huffing he cross's his arms. "I'm teaching her how to say no, she lets all of you use her too much."
"Sure, you realise this way of 'flirting' isn't going to land you a date with her, right?"
A light pink blush's over Jack's face. "What? I'm not flirting with her." He says looking away, he did not like (Y/N). . .
A cowboy pops his head around the corner. "Who is ol' Morrison flirting with?" He asks, his voice thick with a southern accent.
Jack whips his head around to stare him down. "One. I am not flirting with anyone and Two. even if I was it is none of your concern Mc Cree." He sneers.
Laughing, the cowboy sits on the couch next to Hanna. "It's that lass (Y/N), isn't it?"
"Right on the nose Jesse, but this big oaf can't even flirt properly." The gamer girl says kicking her legs on-top of his.
Whistling low, Jesse shakes his head. "I can give you some tips on how to get a lady."
"Jesse, down and give me twenty" Jack says coldly, the cowboy just laughs as he gets on the ground and starts his push ups. He would gladly take this punishment if it meant knocking some sense into his commanders head.

(Y/N) rests her head onto her desk, she had finally finished all the paper work. It's almost midnight, she had to skip dinner and opted to chug four mugs of coffee. She's tired and hungry and annoyed and cranky and upset. All the female wants to do is have a filling dinner, a nice hot relaxing bath and then a nice sleep.
With a soft click, she hears the door open but (Y/N) doesn't lift her head.
Walking into the room, Jack see's the female closed eyed leaning her head onto the desk. Did he go too far? Was she dead? "(Y/N)?" He asks worriedly.
Not bothering to look up as she feels like she's dying, she lets out a gruff "What?"
"Did you finish the papers?" Honestly he was shocked, it was enough for two days but she did it in a span of a few hours. Now he feels really guilty.
Raising her hand she gives him a thumbs up, she only looks up when he places another stack of papers on her desk. Her eyes widen with shock and fury as she finally looks into his eyes.
"Then you can do a few more no?" He says nudging the papers close to her, he could see that she was cracking, the thought alone made him smirk.
Looking at the stupid smirk on his face, (Y/N) looks at the paper work then back at him, she does the multiple times before shaking her head.
Jack raises his brow. "What? I can understand you, words (Y/N)."
Inhaling, the female lets out a small hesitant "No."
"Why not?" He presses, (Y/N) on the other hand just stays silent. They both have a stare off that seems to go on forever.
"(Y/N) answer me, why not." He asks, placing his hands flat on the table before leaning forward.
"I'll do it tomorrow, I'm going to eat dinner before heading to my room for the night." She says quietly biting her lip.
Jack laughs, puzzling the girl but also making her furious. He, on the other hand, knew she was about to snap. Any second now. . .
"Come on (Y/N), there's only a bit left." He pushes the stack closer to her. If she did these now she wouldn't be able to sleep, it would be morning and then she would have to juggle helping Angela with medicine and Jack's papers WITH no sleep or food. A sleepy and hungry (Y/N) is a bad (Y/N).
"(Y/N)?"
"..o" Her answer was so soft that he could barely hear her.
"Hmm? What was that? Did you say you can do them now?" He eggs her on.
Snapping her face up she suddenly stands up and slams her hands against her desk. "I SAID NO!"
A smile breaks out against Jack's face as he hunches over in laughter. "There it is! Finally, Ive been trying to make you say no to me for weeks now!"
(Y/N)'s face turns red with anger as she snaps at him, the hunger, stress and tiredness going to her head all at once as she tackles him to the ground. Her small chubby fists hitting his chest as she sits on his waist effectively pinning him.
"You over worked me all of these weeks to hear me say no?! Your such a jerk face!!" She yells hitting him over and over, even though it didn't hurt in the slightest he still captures her wrists and sits up.
"Hey, It got you to say no, didn't it?" He says smugly, pissing her of more.
"You! Ugh- I- UGH!" She screams out frustrated trying to wiggle her hands out of his grip.
"In celebration for your new backbone, how 'bout I treat you to dinner? There's this nice place that stays open all night." He muses not even bothered by her fruitless attempts.
"After the shit you pulled on me? Absolutely not!" She huffs turning her head away from him.
Chuckling, Jack stands up and pulls her along.
"Oi! Didn't you hear me? I said no!" She yells trying to plant her feet into the ground but he just gently tugs her.
Walking down the hall way he finally lets go of her and turns around. "I know your hungry, come on its on me." He says giving her a softer smile.
Sighing she gives in. "Fine." She grumbles out still clearly annoyed.
Once the two is at the run down, hole-in-the-wall restaurant, (Y/N)'s mood turns brighter again. Her cheeks puffing out as she shoves spoonfuls of rice into her mouth.
"I'm still mad at you." She mumbles, her mouth filled with food.
Smiling fondly he swallows his own bite of food. "Not mad enough to turn down a dinner date with me."
The females eyes widen as she chokes on her food, Jack just silently sips his drink, a smirk back onto his face.
After that night the two still shared paperwork, though (Y/N) was quick to deny any if she was feeling over worked or if her commander would slam piles on-top of piles of paper onto her desk.
She even started saying no to her fellow teammates, albeit more softly than she would too Jack, but every time he would see it a proud smile would break out on his face.
The dinner dates were also a more common occurrence. . .
