(Kissed You) Goodnight

Herc's P.O.V.

"I had a wonderful time tonight Hercules."

I looked up from the ground, glancing at the caramel skinned male in front of me. His dark hair was pulled back into his regular fluffy ponytail, the thick holder being a navy blue colour. He wore my Senior hoodie, which he was drowning in, but it was really adorable on him. The hoodie stopped at his mid-thigh, where his black skinny jeans could be seen. He wore black Converses to top his outfit off, and he looked... Magnificent. He was breathtaking.

I nodded, shoving my hands into my pockets, smiling faintly.

"I'm glad. I did too."

We had just gone out to see Insidious: The Last Key, (his idea) and the fact that he clutched onto my arm through the whole movie only made me love him more. After we were done with the movie, we went to the park.

I was currently dropping him off at his house; his roommates, Thomas, James, and Aaron, were probably all either asleep or out, as it was just slightly after midnight.

He smiled. God, his smile. His smile could brighten up the whole world. We stood under his porch light, which had two bulbs; one was burnt out, but it didn't matter. His smile would still have been brighter.

I smiled back. His smile was so contagious. His smile could cure depression. He looked down, his smile not faltering. We stood there, semi-awkwardly on his front porch before I spoke up.

"So, uh.... I'll... See you at school tomorrow?" He nodded.

"See you then, Hercules." I smiled to him one last time before turning around to walk back to my truck.

"Goodnight Laf." I turned my head to look at him before walking to my truck, hearing a, "Goodnight Hercules." and a door opening and shutting behind me.

I should have kissed him...

I climbed into my Ford pickup, putting the key in the ignition. I twisted it, hearing her turn over without too much struggle.

"Good girl." I whispered to her; even if she was a truck she was my baby.

I should have kissed him...

I glanced back at Laf's house before heaving a heavy sigh and resting my head on the steering wheel. I don't know what compelled me to do so, but I didn't leave. Not yet. So I waited.

Laf's P.O.V.

"Goodnight Hercules." I said, my voice quiet, almost a whisper.

He should have kissed me.

I unlocked the door, opening it and walking in, closing it behind me as I set my keys in the bowl by the door, immediately walking to the window and peering outside. Hercules got in his truck, and then it turned on. But it didn't move. He didn't leave. Is he alright? I watched him sit in his car, wondering why the hell he hadn't left yet. I couldn't get a good view due to the porch light in my eyes, so I flipped it off.

Hercules P.O.V.

I sighed as his porch light turned off.

I should've kissed him.

I pursed my lips, thinking about how much I regretted not kissing him. I thought about having his soft, fluffy, pink lips on my own, about having his arms wrapped around my neck, about having him.

I should kiss him.

Before I knew what was happening, I turned off the truck, yanking the keys out of the ignition as I threw open the car door, slamming it behind me. I ran across the yard, skipping the stairs and onto his porch. My heart racing, I lifted my fist to knock on the door, but, to my surprise, the door opened before I could bring my fist onto it. On the other side stood a very confused Lafayette, looking just as alluring as before, if not more so in the moonlight.

I should kiss him...

"Hercules?" His thick, French accent made me want to melt. He brushed some of his thick, curly hair out from his face. God, he was beautiful.

I should kiss him...

"Hercules... Wh-what are you doing b-back?" He stuttered out, but I didn't say anything. His expression went from confused to concerned.

"Mon ami, a-are you alright...? I-is s-something-" I couldn't take it anymore.

I cut him off by slamming my lips into his. He seemed taken aback, surprised at my sudden action. That soon faded away, along with all my anxiety when I realized he had begun kissing back. I gently pushed him against the wall, not wanting the connection between us to end. I felt his arms wrap around my neck; everything I had longed for for so long was happening.

The kiss lasted for what seemed like forever, but was probably only a few seconds. He pulled back, panting from the lack of oxygen. He smiled widely.

"Hercules..." He breathed out, and I smiled.

"Laf..." His eyes met mine and I gazed into his dark chocolate orbs. He was the one to connect us this time, and he pressed his lips against mine. This kiss was less awkward than the first, and, if possible, was even better. He pulled back once again, beaming brightly.

"Lafayette...." His face flushed slightly.

"Oui, mon amour?" He responded, causing my smile to get wider.

"I love you, Lafayette." I smiled, embracing the Frenchman, who gladly returned the affection.

"I love you too, Hercules."

Now that I kissed him, it's a good night.
