I FINALLY GOT IT

Lafayette's P.O.V. 

I couldn't help but grin in the mirror. I looked fantastic and it was super comfortable. Tonight was going to be great. I could feel it. 

Peggy had organized a party at an arcade, and while I was excited to be around all my friends, I was even more excited to just have a nice night in the arcade with my boyfriend, Hercules. It wasn't technically a date, but I was more than certain we would end up spending the night together. Cuddling, obviously. 

I gave myself one last glance in the mirror, fixing stray strands of hair before I grabbed my keys and left my small New York apartment. 

I had to pick up Alex and John, but we all made it to the arcade nice and safe and... Loud as hell, with Alex and John screaming lyrics to songs like Fuck Away the Pain to each other, undressing the other with their eyes the entire way there. 

"Hey." I grinned at Hercules as I got out of the car, kissing his cheek as I wrapped my arms around his neck. 

"Salut, Amour." Hercules wrapped his arms around my waist, setting small kisses down my jaw. 

"Oh, stop, you two." Hercules smiled, one arm still around my waist as he looked to Eliza, who grinned back at him, waving her hand for us to come inside. 

"I'll be in in just a second." Eliza nodded, pulling Hercules into the arcade as I grabbed my wallet and locked up the car.

"Okay! I have a hat!" I looked at Peggy as she held up a huge top hat above her head, standing on one of the benches. 

"For what?" Peggy glared at John as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. 

"Picking laser tag teams! Duh!" Alex snickered, murmuring something to John which earned him a slap. 

"Why don't we just do couples and then you and Angie?" Maria spoke, her hand placed on top of Eliza's, her thumb running across the smaller girl's knuckles. 

"Because that's not as fun! Everyone needs to write down their name and put it in the hat." Peggy responded, getting off the booth after getting yelled at by an employee. 

Thus, everyone put their name in the hat, and Peggy pulled out names one at a time, putting the names into four teams. Red, Blue, Green, and Gold. 

"You should hope you get me." I whispered, nudging Hercules. 

"Of course. I wouldn't wanna fight you. You're pretty feisty." He smiled as he poked my nose, causing me to giggle. 

"Team one. Eliza and John. Team two, Laf and Alex. Three, Angie and me, and that leaves 'Ria and Herc!" 

"You guys are going doWN!" Alex yelled, standing on the table, ignoring the yells from the same employee that yelled at Peggy, "Me and Laf play paintball at least once a month!" 

Maria scoffed, "You're pathetic, Hamilton. Me and Hercules are going to crush your asses!" 

"Let's go then, dumbasses!" Peggy giggles out, pulling Alex off the table, almost making him fall on the floor. 

We all got armed and told the rules, which were pretty few. It was mainly all legal stuff. Then, we were given 90 seconds to run into the arena, trying to get as far away from the others as we could. I ran to a corner, making note of all the bonus squares I passed, shooting a couple as soon as we had access to the 'bullets'. I'm a pretty good shot, to be honest.

"If only we could steal their guns. That would be so much better." I chuckled at Alex, who then ran off to God knows where. 

A couple more minutes passed, and all the running and jumping of taking the game seriously was getting to me. I camped out in the corner, catching my breath for a hot second before someone came around the wall. Instinctively, I shot his chest, meaning he couldn't shoot me back for a while. 

"That was rude." Hercules exclaimed, pouting a bit. I giggled. 

"I told you. You don't want to be on the opposing team as me. I'm pretty good." Hercules chuckled, bringing one of his hands to my cheek. 

"You know, you're pretty hot right now." I blushed, wrapping my arms around his neck. 

"Really?" Hercules grinned, pushing my back against the wall, pressing his lips into mine. I smiled into the kiss, relishing in the soft groans Hercules let out as I nipped at his lip. Before long, the kiss became deeper, his hand on my cheek moving behind me to press against the wall, his tongue exploring my mouth. I could feel him smirk as I let out soft groans, but as soon as it began, the kiss was over. I grinned, wiping my mouth with my shirt sleeve before realizing that Hercules's armor was ready to go again. 

And he fucking shot me. 

"Hey! Ass!" I went to hit him, but he was already around the corner again, back in the game, leaving me against the wall, completely breathless.

As soon as we got out of the arena and the vests were off, I ran over to Hercules. 

"You're such an ass!" I giggled out, earning a smile from him. 

"Got me points, though." I rolled me eyes, placing both my hands on his cheeks, kissing him gently, grinning as I felt his arms around my waist. 

"Break it up you two." John chuckled, nudging Hercules slightly, causing him to recoil. I glared at John, sliding my hand into Hercules's back pocket and leaning on his shoulder. His arm wrapped around my shoulders, and I could feel him beaming. 

I was so fucking lucky he was mine.

After a couple hours, Hercules held a receipt for about a thousand tickets that he had been carrying around all night. I smiled, watching him from the table as he talked to the employee behind the prize counter, exchanging the receipt for a huge stuffed unicorn. My grin only grew as he walked over, handing the plush to me. 

"Because you're the rarest and most gorgeous of them all." I looked back as the whole group collectively said 'Aweeeeee' before standing up, setting the unicorn down and hugging my boyfriend. 

"You're the best," Hercules grinned, kissing my forehead as I continued, "I love you." 

"I love you too, baby."

Hercules followed me out to my car, smiling as her watched me struggle to walk around the giant unicorn plushie. 

I gasped as he picked me up, our heads butting each other before I leaned over and kissed his cheek. 

"I've never loved you more than I do right now." I smiled at his words as he placed me in the passenger seat of my car, taking the unicorn and buckling it up in the back as I buckled myself up. 

"What about Alex and John?" I asked, smiling as he got in and pressed a sloppy kiss on my cheek. 

"They're riding back with Angie and Peggy. Eliza and 'Ria are going to 'Ria's house, so they have room." I nodded, smiling softly. 

"So to my house then?" I smiled at him, nodding. 

"Sounds like a plan."
