Michael was kind of unsure how he ended up in this situation but he clearly didn't bother.

It was a cloudy day in July, 18 years old Michael was just fresh out of high school with a cigarette in his hand an Luke Hemmings sitting in a stolen shopping cart that he was pushing forward, the music box was playing loudly their favourite songs.

Michael clearly didn't knew how the most popular boy from high school who happened to be a year younger and he ended up here.

It just happened...

Michael woke up by his mother opening the curtains in his room at 2 pm in the afternoon.

“Come on Mike, lunch is ready.“ she said and left the room again.

Michael managed himself into a sitting position so he was able to grab his phone from the cupboard over his bed.

He turned off flight mode and got a tone of messages over Snapchat and tiktok.

Michael clicked himself through all the good morning or other friend snaps untill he saw a notification in the empty chat between him and Luke Hemmings.

The blond ex junior sent him accidentally a picture of him and his two friends sitting on the floor under a bike bridge smoking.

The place was not even 5 minutes away from Michael.

He thought about going there but brushed it of quickly again.

Instead he snapped back like a normal human being, looking all sleepy and like a mess.

Michael got up and properly dressed before walking into the kitchen to sit and eat lunch with his parents who made plans to go out for a date this evening.

After they finished eating Michael decided to go fuck it and got dressed to walk to the bike bridge.

It was hot like shit and his style didn't made up much to that so he was more than happy when he made his was to the shore of the little river.

Luke eventually started to yell something as he jumped up and ran up to Michael and he hugged him.

Michael was a bit overwhelmed but still hugged him back until they broke away again, Luke took a drag from his cigarette. “What are you doing here?“

Michael smiled. “I'm actually on my way to McDonald's but the smell of nicotine and shadow is perfect for a break.“

Luke agreed with a happy nod an walked with him to Ashton and Calum.

Calum graduated with  Michael and Ashton was already in college.

But they where still Luke's friends since the blonds older brothers once took him to a party and the teen drank about every senior under the table.

Michael was a sophomore back then and Jack a senior.

“Want one?“ Calum asked and reached out the cigarettes to him.

He took one and light it with the lighter on the pocket of his patched pants.

They had good fun because somehow they always were a sort of friends.

“I'm actually on my way to McDonald's... don't know... y'all wanna join me?“ Michael said after having a certain amount of nicotine.

The three friends looked at each other before nodding and they all got up, picking their stuff together.

After climbing on the bridge they started walking and smoking again, Michael and Luke ahead, Calum and Ashton a little in the back.

Out of nowhere Calum started to yell and the two in the front turned around.

Ashton and Calum more or less stole a shopping cart from the parking lot of Walmart which they just passed.

Screamed and ran to them to hop in the shopping cart while Calum pushed him forward to the McDonald's, and once accidentally on the street.

While driving on the sidewalk Infront of McDonald's Luke saw a police car and said a bit loud “Shit, the cops. Let him out.“

Calum immediately stopped and Michael got out, but Ashton pushed Calum away and told them that they'll keep the cart.

So they walked to the bike parking lot and parked their cart before going in.

After a lot of issues with the order and Ashton helping Michael o get his my little pony toy from his happy meal they left the fast food restaurant again and managed to get Luke in the cart.

Michael pushed Luke forward over the car parking lot onto the sidewalk behind the McDonald's and they walked the same way back.

And now they where in this situation, Michael pushing Luke forward, all 4 of them smoking while the music box on Luke's lap was playing teenagers by MCR.

Ashton pushed Michael away while Luke yelled out because they drove from the street over Cobblestones on the sidewalk.

Michael jumped on the front part of the cart and leans forward, just to kiss Luke.

The blond boy in the cart nearly dropped his cigarette but he kissed him back until Calum out of the sudden got the great idea that Michael should sit in the cart too.

It was a mess of legs and jackets in the cart and the metal was squishing Michaels back but still, he was the happiest human being on this planet with the taste of nicotine and strawberry milkshake on his lips.
