Ashton is Luke's brother in this one shot :)

"Hey smurf" Michael said as he messed up Luke's hair.

"Arggh you're so annoying!" Luke said as he putted his books in his locker.

Michael chuckled and leaned against the lockers waiting for Luke.

"Where are you waiting for!?" Luke said sassy putting some stuff in his backpack for studying.

"You" Michael responded and crossed his arms. "Just because you're good friends with my brother doesn't mean we're good friends yah know" Luke said zipping up his hoodie.

"I never said that"

"Then why are you waiting for me?"

"Cause..that's a nice thing to do and you're kind of a nerf, besides i'm always annoying ain't i Lukey?" Michael grinned.

Luke rolled his eyes and closed his locker. He swinged his backpack onto his shoulder and putted his hands in his pockets, feeling akward now since Michael was next to him.

"Ready smurf?" Michael said chuckling and Luke elbowed him in his side.

"I felt a little bump in my side" Michael said smirking. He loved to annoy Luke, it was entertaining.

Luke, Michael, Ashton and Calum always drove home together since it was Friday. Luke didn't want to have any contact with their annoying friends of his brothers but it was a free ride, besides it was winter now and it was cold.

On the way to the parking lot, Luke took out a Green day cd he got from his favorite music store near by school. He pre-ordered it and was extra excited to play it at home, he smiled down looking at the new cd in his hands. It was expensive..but music was like a passion for him. As he was reading the songs tittles on the cd he got cutt of by a car hunk.

"Oi cunts! Hurry up before we get in a traffic!" Ashton yelled from his car.

"C'mon Luke the parking lot is getting full too" Michael said eyeing Luke.

"Oh yeah one sec let me just put it in my backpack" Luke said keeping his attention on the cd, a smirk playing on his lips. He opened his backpack and putted it in.
"Look out!" Luke heard Michael yell.

And before he could even look up the red haired boy jumped on him causing the two the fall back on the ground and Luke to drop his all too expensive cd.

Luke's heart was beating fast as he saw Michael above him and his cheeks turned red. The car that almost killed them took a sharp corner and drove past them. "Ouch" Luke whispered queitly and winced in pain. "You okay?" Michael asked. "Yeah i'm good but where..is my!?" Luke's eyes widened. Luke pushed Michael off and looked for the cd. "Shit!" He cursed under his breath as he saw his cd laying on the floor, cracked open. "No no no" Luke said kneeling down and picking it up gently. "Oh shit" Michael said while laughing and walking closer to Luke.

Luke closed his eyes for a second before putting it in his backpack and walking towards the end of the parking lot.

"Where you going!?" Michael asked putting his arms up.

"Home" Luke yelled getting glossy eyes.

"Walking?!"

"Yes! Walking!" Luke yelled back angrily. He was pissed. Michael was being a dickhead right now.

"A thank you maybe!? I just saved your life!"

Luke didn't care and walked away from the parking lot taking a complete other way into the woods.

He putted his beanie on and looked down at the ground the way walking home. A tear rolled down his cheek and he quickly wipped it away.

"No time for tears!" Luke spat at him self and started giving another pace while walking home.

Luke saw Ashton his car outside which ment him and the rest were home. He wanted to stay outside, but also didn't want to be cold anymore and just went inside.

He yawned before taking of his jacket and shoes. A shiver running down his spine.

"Omg Luke where have you been! It's already dark outside!" Liz yelled trough the house and went over to Luke who stood in front of the hall way. "Mom i'm fine i was ju-" Luke got cutt off. "And it's already dark outside! You know how dangerous that is!" Liz said and grabbed Luke's cheeks. "Oh my baby" Liz said hugging Luke thightly. Luke just sighed and didn't move. He then saw Michael snickering at him from the couch. He rolled his eyes and gently pulled back from the hug.

"Also dinner is ready in 15 minutes" Liz said and placed a kiss on Luke's forehead.

Liz was always more worried about Luke, since he got bullied a lot. Ben, Ashton and Jack were kind of the most social and well known, with loads of friends. Luke didn't care at all cause he liked being alone and he thought he was better of alone anyways.

Luke took his backpack from the ground and putted it on his back. He then went upstairs into his room ignoring whatever Michael had to say and closed his door.

"Luke please open i wanna talk" Michael said knocking on his door.

"Well i don't want to, can you just leave" Luke said taking out his books.

"No i wanna make it right with you about..earlier" Michael said.

"Can you please! Just leave me alone!!! You bother me 24/7 at school and now you decided to bother me at home!? Yeah okay thanks for saving me from a broken leg earlier, i really appreciate it but PLEASE! Just leave me alone!" Luke yelled and heard foot steps fading away.

Luke sighed and sunk into one piece to the floor. "Now it's time to cry" he whispered with voice cracks and tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm so mean" he said queitly and leaned his head against the wall. He was just moody cause Michael laughed at him, about that cracked cd and he annoyed him all the time. It was his own fault, he should've kept it in his backpack! Was all he was thinking.

That night Luke ignored everything and everyone crying him self to sleep. He was alone and with him being moody he would always be alone...

"Luke! Open the door!" He opened his eyes and walked to the door. "What is it?" He asked while opening the door and seeing his mom standing there with dried tears in her eyes.

"Michael his grandmother..died yesterday night" she said. Luke hugged her immidiately. "We're going to her funeral today so wear all black" she said pulling away and walking downstairs.

Now he felt guilty for being an ass to Michael yesterday night. Guilty for being an idiot as usual, that's why he had no friends. He was scared to let people get to close to him. Did Michael even wanna see him on his grandmothers funeral? He was gonna go either way.

His eyes became glossy but he left the tears for the funeral.

He got changed in neat black clothes and decided to buy Michael and his family flowers.

He went over to the florist and bought a fresh bunch of flowers. He then went home and waited in silence in the living room for everyone to finish.

Ashton, Ben and Jack came downstairs with a sad expression. They didn't say anything to each other and just walked out the door to the car. Luke followed after them. Liz came trough the door and opened the car door, starting the engine and driving away from home.

Luke was nervous, and pulled his sleeves over his hands a bit. He grabbed his flowers and followed his brothers and mom into the graveyard.

He saw Michael standing there..alone? "Mom where is the rest of his family?" Luke whispered. "the rest couldn't make it cause of a flight that got cancelled" she whispered back. Luke felt even more guilty now. He hated seeing Michael sad, and for some sort of reason he just wanted to hug him but he knew Michael wouldn't let him. Everyone stood around the grave eyes locked on the coffin of Michael his grandmother. Luke glanced at Michael who had the most broken expression on his face. He didn't talk, he didn't look up at any of us. After 2 minutes or so this guy came in and started talking about random shit no one even cared about.

A couple of Michael his friends showed up including Calum and his uncle Harry and his aunt Mary. Mary started crying while hiding her face in Harry his chest.

Luke's breathing hitched as Michael turned his head to him. Luke's eyes widened, if stares could kill, he would be in hell right now. Michael looked back at the coffin not saying anything. This made Luke feel anxious. Luke wants him to tell that he's an idiot, but he didn't and that's what scared him the most.

His family didn't look after Michael, no one was comforting him when he just lost his grandmother Luke noticed. So Luke did the only thing he could do in that moment without crossing any lines. He carefully grabbed Michael his hand and kept looking at the coffin not daring to look at Michael. He wanted to show Michael comfort cause they always had bad times which was annoying each other, Luke wanted to change that for a moment. Luke had his fingers intertwinded when Michael his hand was just hanging there. Luke thought he wasn't accepting it and wanted to let go of his hand, but that's when Michael intertwinded his fingers with Luke's small hand.

"I'm..sorry" Luke whispered not wanting to cry.

"It's fine" Michael said finnaly speaking and looking at Luke.

"Thank you" Michael said again getting glossy eyes.

"Thanks for you know..being here with me" he whispered looking in the distance.

'Fuck it' Luke thought and hugged Michael side ways. Michael finnaly gave in and broke down into one piece. Michael turned towards Luke and leaned his head against his shoulder, while Luke wrapped his arms secure around the taller boy his frame. "It's okay to cry Mikey" Luke said holding him thighter. Michael started crying and felt weak in his knees. Luke closed his eyes and stroked Michael his hair. "It's gonna be okay" he whispered softly.

Rain began to fall and everyone went inside the two did not caring about the weather. If Michael wanted to stay outside then Luke would stay. Luke pulled away from the hug grabbing Michael his cheeks. "We're gonna get trough this okay?" Luke said pulling a piece of hair that was stuck on his face from the rain out if the way. Michael nodded in agreement and grabbed Luke's hand leading him inside.

The two sat down on a bench and watched as the ceremony began. Michael didn't wanna hear anything of it and just wrapped an arm around Luke the whole time. He was soaking wet and so was Luke but he somehow gave him warmth and a cozy feeling. Luke always did that. Even if he annoyed him, he liked him and probably more than he should..He also wanted to kiss Luke so bad when the accident with the car happened, but he knew Luke wouldn't want it. He closed his eyes driffting of in his own thoughts.

Michael didn't show up at school for almost two weeks but Luke knew he needed some time to pick himself up again.

Here he was again at his locker getting his books out for today. He didn't notice a group of people standing around him untill he closed his locker.

"What?" Luke said as he saw the person he hated the most.

"Hello loser" Alex said before grabbing Luke's shirt and pushing him onto his locker.

"Where is that big guy now huh?!" He said with a smirk playing on his lips.

"That big guy is standing behind you" Luke's eyes widened. There he was for the first time in weeks.

Alex let go of Luke's shirt and Luke dropped to the ground. "So what now big guy" Alex said turning his attention to Michael.

"You tell me, you came here to annoy my friend anyways" Michael said not flinching but only giving Alex a dead stare. Luke was shocked but felt a little excited when Michael said that he was his friend.

"Yeah you know why?" Alex said.

"Tell me" Michael said actually not giving a shit.

"Cause he is a loser"

"Why is he a loser?"

"He is a fucking nerd besides that i wish i had hit him with my car three weeks ago so that he was dead rig-" Michael didn't let Alex finish and punched him right on the nose. He had hit him so hard that he flew two meters before falling down. People in the hall way stood on the outside not wanting to cause any trouble. They all looked at Alex the school bully who got put in his place. Now the puzzle was complete, Alex was the one who almost hit Luke with his car.

Luke gripped on the strips of his backpack and swallowed hard before looking back at Michael. He never looked so angry

Michael wanted to kick Alex showing him that he shouldn't have almost killed Luke, but he got stopped by Luke himself so he wouldn't hit again and make things worse.

"C'mon we are going to c-class" Luke spoke nervously.

"T-thank you" he stuttered and blushed.

"Of course..now lets get to English shall we?" Michael said giving Luke a smile.

"B-but what about him?" Luke asked not wanting the teachers to see what happened here.

"He'll be fine, look his friends are picking him up" Michael said as they both looked back. Michael wrapped an arm around Luke's shoulder as they continued walking. "Oh okay then" Luke said queitly.

"Thanks once again" Luke said feeling slightly embarrassed that he couldn't handle it himself.

"No worries, that's what friends are for" Michael said which made Luke smile. "Friends" Luke said and looked up at Michael.

"Yes, friends..if that's alright?"

"No" Luke responded and Michael stopped in his tracks.

He looked confused "no?" He asked. Luke bit his lip. "I-" Luke sighed, he was nervous. "Are you okay?" Michael asked. "Yeah i'm just..arggh!" Luke groaned. "I like you Michael Clifford!" Luke said. His face turned immidiately red like a tomato and he adjusted his glasses. Luke looked down at the ground because he was too nervous to look at Michael his reaction.

"You really mean that?" Michael said smiling.

Luke nodded "yeah" he said softly.

"It probably sounds weird since..yah know, we annoy each other and stuff but..i really like you and if you don't like me back then that's that but i just wanted you to kn-"

Luke got cutt of by Michael's lips pressing against his. Being in love with someone was the best feeling Luke had ever had. Especially since it was Michael..
