Anika opened the balcony door and she was shocked to see the scene in front of her.

Shivaay was sitting on his knees, getting drenched in heavy rain and crying miserably.

Anika immediately rushed towards him and sat on her knees beside him. She cupped his face.

A- Shivaay, what happened? Why are you crying like this? I'm sorry if bhai had hurt you but he didn't do it intentionally.

Shivaay was continuously looking at her, without blinking while tears were making their way from his eyes.

S- I'm sorry, Anika. I'm the worst human being ever. I never took stand for you. I claimed to love you but when the time came, I pulled my feet back.

Anika looked at him with wide eyes.

A- What are you talking about, Shivaay?

S- I got my memory back, Anika.

Anika looked at him wide eyed.

S- It's the first time when I really want to forget all the memories of my past, after remembering how I treated you. I... I... Was such a coward Anika. I don't deserve you or Shivika or any happiness in my life. I deserve a painful life in which I remember all the bad things I did with you and my daughter. I hate myself.

Shivaay broke down while crying and some tears escaped from Anika's eyes as well.

A- It's fine, Shivaay. Anyways,a long time had passed since that incident. Let's forget everything and start a fresh.

S- How can you be so good, Anika? I'm not worthy of your love and forgiveness.

Anika cupped his face and pecked his forehead.

A- I never hated you, Shivaay. Yes, I was angry on you. But more than anger, it was disappointment that you thought that our love was so weak that it can't fight the world. I was angry that because of your decision, you missed all the special moments of our daughter and she missed all the love of her father for 3 years. I've already forgiven you the moment you fought for me and our princess. But I really want to know the reason of our break up because I know it was all fake.

Shivaay looked at her with teary eyes.

Flashback starts-

ON THE DAY OF BREAK-UP-

Shivaay was very happy since morning as finally it was day when he was about to propose the love of his life, Anika.

S- Today, I'm going to propose Anika in her style.

He dialled Khanna's number.

S- Hello Khanna.

K- Yes sir.

S- Are all the arrangements done? Flowers? Candles? Food? Wine?

K- Yes sir. I've done everything.

S- Everything should be perfect. If it's not then I'll chop off your head.

K- No sir. Everything is according to your wish.

S- Okay. Good.

Shivaay disconnected the call.

Pinky, who overheard all the conversation, was fuming in anger.

P(thinks) - I would never let my son marry that orphan. She can never match our standards. When Shivaay was having a casual relationship, it was fine by me but now the water is going above my head. I can't let this happen. I've to do something.

She made a call and discussed all the plan.

She saw Shivaay coming her way. She acted like fainted and fell on the floor.

Shivaay immediately rushed towards her.

S- Mom! Mom! Are you okay?

But pinky didn't respond so shivaay picked her up in her arms and took her to her bedroom.

He immediately called the doctor. The doctor did Pinky's check up and came out of the room. Shivaay walked towards doctor worriedly.

S- What happened to mom, doctor?

D- She has suffered from minor heart attack. I think she's having some stress. Please take care of her. I've prescribed some medicines for her and please don't give her any stress otherwise it can be life-threatening for her. Take care.

S- Ok. Thank you doctor.

Shivaay immediately rushed inside Pinky's bedroom. He sat beside her on the bed.

S- Mom, are you fine?

P- I'm fine Shivaay.

Pinky said while looking at the other side.

S- Mom, tell me what is troubling you? Why are you so tensed these days?

P- How can a mother be not stressed when her son is pushing himself in the hell?

S- What do you mean mom?

P- Shivaay, I've told you many times that Anika isn't good for you. She's just using you as a bait to take advantage of your money.

S- You're wrong, mom. Anika isn't like this. She loves me very much and I love her too. She can never be selfish.

P- Shivaay, please don't marry her. You've my swear.

S- Mom!

Pinky started heavy breaths and acted like she's getting dizzy. Shivaay got very worried.

S- Mom! Mom! Ok. I won't marry Anika.

Shivaay fed her some water and Pinky calmed down and smirked inwardly.

P- Promise me Shivaay that you'll break up with her today. Shivaay please otherwise I'll die.

Pinky started fake crying and Shivaay felt that someone was ripping his heart out of his chest. He was suffocating and he just nodded his head left the bedroom in a hurry.

Pinky sat up on the bed and smirked.

P- You can never be my daughter-in-law Anika. Look now, in some minutes, you'll be out of her lives.

Pinky laughed evilly.

At the same time, Anika entered Oberoi Mansion humming happily.

A- Shivaay will be so happy after hearing this. I can't wait to tell him.

She saw a servant coming from Shivaay's room.

A- Kaka, where is Shivaay?

K- Beta, he's in his room but please be careful as his mood is very bad.

Anika nodded her head.

A- Don't worry kaka. I'm going to give him a news which will make him super happy.

Kaka smiled and went from there.

Anika headed towards his room and saw Shivaay was sitting on his bed while holding his head in his hands.

A- Shivaay, what happened?

Shivaay looked at Anika surprisingly. Shivaay stood up in front of Anika.

S- Anika, what are you doing here?

Anika held his hands in hers.

A- Shivaay, I've to tell you something.

S- Even I've to tell you something.

A- What? Tell me.

S- We're done, Anika. It's over.

Anika was shocked.

A- What? You're joking, right.

S- No. I'm serious. We're over.

Anika's hand slipped from his hands and tears started flowing from her eyes. She took two steps back.

A- Shivaay, please. What happened? Is everything fine? Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry, Shivaay. Please don't leave me.

S- Anika, you didn't do anything wrong. It's not you, it's me. Anika, you know about my mom's health and she gets stressed when she sees you. She doesn't want to see you as my life partner. I don't want to trouble her anymore. She asked me to choose between you and her and I chose her.

A- No... No... Please Shivaay. We'll talk to Aunty. We'll make her understand. You can't leave me, Shivaay. I'll be destroyed. No.. No... Please. I'll do anything to make aunty happy and to accept me. Please. I only have you in this world.

Anika was crying badly. Some tears escaped from Shivaay's eyes as well.

Shivaay held Anika's hand and started dragging her out from his room.

A- Shivaay, listen to me. Please.

S- Leave Anika.

A- No.. No.. Shivaay I've to tell you somethi......

S- Stop it. Just leave.

Shivaay pushed her out of his room. He was about to close the door when Anika put her hand between the doors and Shivaay looked at her.

A- Shivaay, you're so going to regret this decision of yours. I gave my everything to you. I loved you beyond limits. I was ready to do anything for you but you stepped back when there was a chance to do something for US. We loved each other so we would have fought for our love but you lost the battle before even fighting. I'm taking something very precious from you, Shivaay and I don't think you deserve it anymore. If you can't take a stand for me and our love then I can't trust you with the most precious thing of my life.

Her eyes had anger and rage. Some tears slipped from Anika's eyes and Shivaay was controlling his tears.

Shivaay closed the door on her face and Anika went down stairs.

As she was passing the living room, she saw Pinky sitting on the couch with a smirk playing on her lips.

P- Tch! Tch! I feel very bad for you, Anika. Your dreams of getting a high society background, expensive house and clothes got crashed, in a second. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll get a very nice middle class man. I told you that my son will always choose me over you. You lost, Anika.

Anika smiled through her tears.

A- It's good to see you happy, Mrs. Oberoi whether it is based on the tears and pain of your own son. Congratulations Mrs. Oberoi for the lifetime pain you gave to your son. I know he loves me and his love is true. Even I love him very much. But he can't betray you, the woman who is his mother, he doesn't have the strength to fight against you. But let me tell you one thing, your victory is just for moments. It'll not take much time to change into your loss. Bye bye, Mrs. Oberoi. Hope not to see you again.

Anika said while leaving Oberoi Mansion.

Here Shivaay broke down.

S- Today I lost my life. I hate myself. Today the old Shivaay is dead.

He was passing by Pinky's bedroom when he heard her phone conversation.

P- Thanks doctor for telling lies to Shivaay. You'll get your money soon.

She disconnected the call and smirked.

P- Finally the thorn named Anika is out of our lives. Bl**dy orphan, what did she think that she'll become Oberoi's daughter-in-law.

S- MOM!

Shivaay entered the room with blood shot red eyes.

S- How can you do this to me, Mom? Are you really my mom? How can you spoil my happiness mom? You snatched my life's biggest happiness. My love, my Ani. I hate that you're my mom. From today, your son is dead for you and I'm sorry I can't consider you as my mom anymore.

Shivaay said while crying. Pinky smirked.

P- Do whatever you want but you won't ever get Anika again.

Shivaay remembered Anika leaving and he rushed outside to track her down.

But he couldn't find her. That moment he realised that he'll never get Anika back again. He broke down that day.

Flashback ends.

Shivaay broke down in Anika's arms. Anika hugged him tightly while crying.

S- I hate her Anika. I hate her.
