Part 1
Today was the day Riya would get a job. She didn't want a job but her parents forced her. They said it will help her forget the past but she had already forgotten the past. She was once Gauri but now she is just Riya a girl who does not care about the world. A girl who plays and breaks hearts in fraction of a second. She's been living this life for years now. She walked over to the front desk where a woman in her mid-30s sat with thick rimmed glasses and pink lip gloss.
"I would like to schedule an appointment with Mr. Oberoi" Riya said sternly but at first it seemed the woman did not hear her.
"Oh deary please sit down on that seat he'll be with you any moment now" she spoke in a sweet but annoyed voice. I sat down on the seat. There was no one but me.
"Riya Mukherjee?" Asked a woman.
"That's me" the woman looked at me and was left suprised. "What are you looking at?" I taunted.
"Oh sorry" she quickly lead me in front of the door. She told me to wait. I did not look at all professional I wore black sneakers, ripped jeans paired along with a tee that said no haters. My hair was straight with a black and blue ombre. There was a lip ring on my bottom left lip. My arms were covered with tattoos of roses, skulls and pretty much everything you could imagine. This may be the reason of the unwanted attention. I held my file close. I heard the words come in. I pushed open the door. In front of me was a man he had long hair which reached up to his shoulders. He had a beard and an ear peircing. Boy did I want him bad. My player skills would not work here though.
"Sit down please" he said without moving his eyes from the computer screen. I sat down.
"This is my file" I continued in my stern and arrogant voice.
"Your name is all I need for now" he finally looked at me.
"Gau-Riya, Riya Mukherjee" I couldn't believe I almost said that name that horrifying name.
"I believe you were about to say something else are you sure your name is Riya?" He gave me a look of disbelief.
"Yes I'm sure" I said confidently.
"This job is your's" he said signing some papers and handing them to me to sign.
"If you hire all your employees like that then you're company is surely going down".
"My company in fact needs people like you" he sounded like he wanted to know more about me. More about my past.
"Trusting me is like riding an untamed horse never know when they'll throw you off" I glared at him wanting to know what he wanted.
"I'm not trying to trust you I'm trying to find out your truth" he smiled.
"Many have tried but they all end up falling for me" I laughed.
"Laugh all you want but Omkara Singh Oberoi will succeed in finding your truth Ms. Riya Mukherjee" he snared.
"Good luck!" I continued to laugh while I walked out.
"I won't need your luck anytime sooner" mumbled Om.
