Neil : It was just a bad dream...The baby is fine... (he consoled her )

Breaking the hug he cupped her face and said...

Neil : You okkay...?

Avni : Hmm....

Neil : Avni....I am sorry for what i said last night....and for whatever i did...knowingly and unknowingly.
I know ye baby....ye baby tumhare liye bohot important hai....and believe me mere liye bhi hai....But mere liye tum bhi important ho avni !

she looked up in his eyes while he continued...

Neil : I...I didnt said this to you last night....but i want to say it now that.. I have decided.....we will fight for it. We will try our best to save our baby. I WILL FIGHT FOR IT.

and this brought a little smile on her face...

Avni :  S...s...sach..? she asked beamingly

Neil : Haan Avni....zara socho....agar complication hone ke baad bhi, ye bacha humari life me aaya hai...to i am sure...ye iss duniya me bhi zarur aayega.
Hum best se best doctor ke paas jayenge....Jo karna pdega vo krenge. But iss baby ko kuch nhi hone denge....

( those words were making avni smile and bringing a new hope of happiness)

Neil : Haan avni....I promise....main na tumhe kuch hone dunga.....or na humare baby ko.....bhale uske liye mujhe apni j....

Avni kept her hand on his lips and stopped him from saying further...

Avni : Neiill....no...

Neil looked in her eyes. They shared an eye lock...sharing the pain through unspoken words.

The feeling of having each other by their side gave them confidence. More than anything...they need each others support the most at this time.

Suddenly neil's phone ringed. Both of them came in senses. While avni removed her hand from his lips, and neil went to pick his phone.

Neil : Hello...

Manager : Sir..there is an emergency....the client is taking the contract back. We have to call a meeting and fix this asap.

Neil : There is no need.

Manager : But sir....

Neil : I SAID no meeting. Let them do what they want.
I have no time for all this. I have other importang things to do. So just handle it on your own.
And listen.....cancel my next week schedule. I will be on a leave.

Manager : Okay sir. I will handle everything.

Neil cuts the call immediately and kept it aside.

Avni who was listening all this was in a sudden shock. Is he the same neil ? Who never stayed at home, is now taking a week long off. She was sitting there looking at neil with wide open eyes .

Neil turned his gaze toward her and found her looking shockingly at him

Neil : What ? he asked

Avni : No...no...nothing.
I... I was just wondering....ki tum Neil hi ho na.... she asked mockingly.

Neil saw her laughing a little.  He sighs.
Neil : Haan....koi doubt... he sat beside her and said looking in her eyes.

Avni : N..nhi....tumne apni meeting cancil ki.....jo tum rarely kabhi krte ho. Or to or ek week off le liya. I hope you are okay neil. she said jokingly and kept her hand on his forehead to check his temperature..if he is fine or not.

Neil : Avnii.....tum mere mazak uda rhi ho....?

Avni : N...nhi toh...she said and looked at him.

He also looked at her and with that.....they both bursted in laughter.

Avni laughed out loud. While neil just sopped at looked at her laughing.

God knows after how many days they were laughing together.

Neil smiled and adored her smiling. He slowly held her handds and came closer. He cupped her face and said..

Neil : I am sorry avni...I know tumne meri vajah se bohot kuch saha hai. Shaadi se pehle maine tumse itne vaade kiye the...ki tunhe hmesha khush rkhunga.
Lekin pta nhi kyu...main vo pura nhi kar paya. Aone saare vaade bhul gya.
Jabse humari shaadi hui ....main...main sab kuch itna lightly lene lga. Tumhe....hume..apne rishte ko. kabhi dhyan nhi diya. Or bs apne kaam me aisa busy hua....ki tumhe akela kr diya.
And now....i am feeling guilty. he said and looked down

Avni (held her face up ) : Nhi neil....don't say anything.
Ab main past ke baare me nhi sochna chahti. Sirf future ke baareme sohcna chahti hu.
Humari life me bohot ups and downs aaye hai.
Ek time tha jab...jab hum saath the...pyaar me the. Ek dusre ke bina ek pal nhi reh paate the.

Or fir ek aisa time aaya....jab hum ajnabee ban gye...ek dusre se dur hote chle gye.

Lekin aaj...aaj vo time hai neil....jab hum firse ek saath hai. Ek dusre ke liye hai. Humne jo galtiya ki hai....hum sab thik kr denge.
Agar hum saath hai....to hum kuch bhi sahi kar skte hai.

Kar sakte hai na neil....? she asked not realising that her eyes are now filled with tears.

Neil looked up in her eyes with his tears filled eyes, and nodded in a yes.

Avni smiled. She cupped his face and kissed his forehead. While he closed his eyes. They touched their foreheads together with closed eyes.

Next day

Neil told her about their appointment with Dr Shriya. As she is the best gynaec in handling complicated pregnancy cases.
And neil wants to be doubly sure about the safety of Avni in carrying on this pregnancy.

They reached the hospital at 12: 30 p.m.

Dr Shriya : Hi neil...Hello Avni. Please be seated.

They greeted and sat.

Dr shriya : So good to see you avni...after long time... How are you? she asked smilingly

Avni smiled : Yaa..I am good. How are you ?

Dr shriya : Perfectly fine.

Neil : Well...you did'nt ask me. Seems like you have forgotten me. he asked

Dr Shriya : You toh always look good. There is no need to ask. she said smirkishly.

While neil laughed.

Neil : Vese you have got thin. Are you on some diet or what ?

Avni looked at neil with narrowed eyes.

Dr Shriya : No no....its just because of work. But tum bhi kaafi fit lag rhe ho.

Neil : Ohh thanks...main toh hmesha hi fit rehta hu. he self praised  and they both laughed together.

While Avni was just sitting their quitely and thinking  - " Is she here to see a doctor...or to watch her husband flirt...in front of her eyes "

Avni : Neil...will you please focus on what we are here for...instead of flirting with your "best friend" she slowly whispered to him and he immediately looked at her fuming. Neil saw her looking at him and he nodded.

Dr shriya : Ok guys lets focus. Neil....have you got Avni's reports which i asked for.

Neil : Yes....here. he nodded and  handed to her all their reports.

She was going through the reports. While neil and avni sat their pateintly.

Avni looked at neil nervously. While neil nodded and held her hands in assurance.

Dr shriya : I....I read your reports. Seems like there is no other complication attached to yout pregnancy. So....I think we can manage things...
And....I think their is a way out.

Neil and Avni beamed with a smile.

Dr shriya : But i think we should go for some more tests , before i prescribe you the procedure.
And one more thing....there cannot be 100% assurance. But i will try be best.

Avni was feeling so happy to listen this. She is ready for everything and anything. If there is even 1 % chances that she can see her baby being born, she is ready for that too.

Avni (crying in happiness) : Th...Thank you so much Shriya.....you...you have no idea tumne mujhe phirse jeene ki ek umeed di hai. I....I cant thank you enough for this....
Tum...tum nhi janti ye baby mere liye kya hai. Or agar 1 % chance bhi hai....toh...toh bhi main ready hu.

Neil was feeling so happy seeing her glowing.

Dr shriya : I know Avni. Main janti hu ek maa ke liye uska baby uski zindagi hota hai. Or meri yahi koshish rehti hai ki main har maako ye khushi de saku.....she said

Avni looked at neil and said

Avni : Neil tum....tumne suna na...tumne suna na....a...abhi bhi chances hai...ki hum...hum apne baby ko bacha skte hai. (she said having tears in her eyes ). Ab....ab mujhe abortion nhi krana hoga na....?

Neil smiled. He wiped tears from her cheeks..and said..

Neil : Nhi krana hoga Avni....ab tumhe koi abortion nhi krana hoga....!

She smiled. Neil wiped the tears falling from her eyes.

Shriya adored them and decided to leave them alone for sometimes.

Dr Shriya : Okay guys I ...i have to go and see few patients.
Till then you can stay here...and i will be right back. she said

Avni looked straight and wiped her tears looking at the ground...
while neil looked at shriya and nodded.

Shriya smiled and patted his shoulder and whispered

Shriya : Take care of her....i will be back...!

Neil : Thanks... he smiled and she left
