Neil: Please save them God...please!

the only words escaped from neil's mouth while he was waiting outside the room, in which avni was being examined.

Neil's pov

Maine life me bohot galtiya ki hai .....Apne or avni ke rishte ko sambhal nhi paya. Aise hi bikharne diya apne rishte ko.....

Lekin iski saza mere bache ko mat dena...

....main ek acha pati nhi bann paya......Or pta nhi ek acha pita bhi bann paunga ya nhi....

lekin Avni....voh ek achi maa zarur bnegi...

Yeh....yeh bacha Avni ki jaan hai....uski zindagi ban chuka hai.....Agar use kuch ho gaya toh..main...av...avni ko kaise smbhalunga.

Please save them god....please save them.

After a lot of patience, Neil got to see a doctor coming out of the room....

Neil : Doctor how is she..

Doctor : Abhi ke liye she is in a stable condition.
But we need to do some more tests...before coming to any conclusion.

Neil (tensed) : Tt..tests....?
and h...how...how is our baby. Voh...voh thik hai naa....?

Doctor : Jaisa ki maine kaha neil....ki abhi hum kuch nhi keh skte. Hume avni ke kuch tests krne honge....to know the exact position of....both of them.

Those words increased his nervousness.

But filhal ke liye...you can meet her. She is waiting inside....doctor said before leaving

Neil went inside to see Avni already awake....and was half sitted on the bed....with her head rested against the headboard.

He went nearer and sat next to her.

They looked at each other but their was silence between them. As they both didnt know how to talk....and what to talk.

A lone tear escaped from avni's eye.

Neil then wiped her tear and placed his one hand on her hand.

Neil : Avni.....nothing will happen to our baby. He will be fine... he made an attempt to console her.

Avni knew that he too loves the baby.....and is worried for it.
But for her...this baby is even more than her life. She cant afford to lose it.

Avni ( with tears) : Neil.....
she took a pause for few seconds and then just placed her hands around him and hugged him very tightly.

Neil knew that she needs this.
He hugged her back and held her protectively. He didnt said anything and just let her sink in her emotions.

NIGHT 10 P.M.

Avni's all tests were done. She was now taken back to her room.

In the mean while, neil went back home and brought some pair of clothes for both of them, and other necessities which she must be needing.

When he returned, avni was already in her room.

He placed the bag at the corner and sat next to her, holding her hands he said...

Neil : Relax Avni....don't take much stress.....You need to be calm...
And i know kuch nhi hoga...Na tumhe....na baby ko.....hmm... he asked and Avni nodded

All they need to do is to have patience and pray that the reports are normal.

After sometimes doctor entered inside. Neil stood up while doctor checked avni's pulse. After which she turned to neil and said....

Neil : Avni ki reports kal subah ayegi Neil.....Tabtak, you have to make sure that she takes proper rest.
Kyunki stress uske liye bilkul achha nhi hai.

Neil nodded. Yes doctor....I will take care of that. he gave a slight smile

With that doctor left.

That night was a difficult one for them. It was hard to sleep when you know that something is not right with your child.

Neil didnt say but he was hell of worried from inside.
He didnt want to lose the only ray of hope between his and  avni's broken marriage....that is their child .

Avni also find it difficult to sleep.
She can let anything happen to herself....but not her baby.
If something will happen to their baby...she will not be able to take it.

Next day
Morning

Both Neil amd Avni went to doctor's cabin , waiting for the reports.

Doctor arrived and both neil and avni looked at her ,chanting prayers in their hearts.

Neil : Doc....wh...what happened ?

Doctor : Reports are here. Avni...i know it will be very tough for you, but i have to tell this to both of you here.

Avni and Neil looked at each other. Neil held her hand and blicked his eyes in assurance.
....and then they heard the doctor patiently.

Doctor : Avni....you have a unicornuate uterus. A rare abnormality in which the size of your uterus is smaller than the normal one.
In simple words agar main kahu....to your womb is not ready to carry a baby's weight.

Both neil and avni were in a utter shock to hear this. Neil tightened his grip on avni's hand as he knew she must be breaking right now.

Doctor continued....

The pain you felt was a proof of it. As the baby started growing , the womb refused to accept it. Due to which your body felt that pain.

Usually aisi condition me conceive krna bhi mushkil hota hai...but you managed that....and now the complications are proceeding...as the baby is growing.

Neil looked at avni, as the tears started forming in her eyes.

Neil : Doc...doctor....Wha...whats the solution.

Doctor find it difficult to say...but she have to...

Doctor : There is no solution Neil. She can't carry the baby for long. you have to...ABORT this baby.... doctor said with a heavy heart.

The sentence took their breath away. This heartbreaking news just broke them into pieces.

Avni : No...no....i will not abort this baby.....I will not abort my baby....no...no....never.... she left neil's hand and ran outside the room.

Neil : Av...Avni ruko....Avni.... he tried to stop her but she left.

Neil squeezed his eyes.....trying to control his tears.

Doctor : Look neil....I know its difficult time but...she has to do this....otherwise uski jaan ko khatra ho skta hai.
And now...It's up to you.
Go...and talk to her.

Neil nodded and left the room with a heavy heart.

He cant even walk properly, thinking how will he handle this situation.
Thinking how he will convince Avni when he himself is....is not ready for this.

But for Avni's sake.....he has to take a decision.

Avni was standing near a secluded pole  in the corner...and was crying and crying only. Her face turned read due to continous crying. How can she take the away the breath of her child.

Neil saw her and went near her. His heart was no less then a mess of emotions.

He places his hand on her shoulder.

Avni turned around and looked at him. She knew what he was thinking....as he was not looking in her eyes directly.

she started moving in an opposite direction from him .

Avni : N..no neil...main...main apna bacha nhi dungi. Main use nhi maar skti ....Nhi...nhi neil....m....main aisa nhi krungi....m..main apne bache ko nhi maar skti  

Neil : Avni...... he moved forward and tried to get a hold of her.

but she was still backing off...

Avni : N..no....dont....dont neil...dont say anything...... and she became a crying mess.

Neil's heart filled with pain, seeing her shattering.

He immediately moved ahead and took her into a bone crushing hug.
He cryed along with her.
