This story tells the fate of Eirene, a slave originally from the island of Cephalonia (Greece) who enters the harem of Prince Mustafa in Manisa, a serious candidate to succeed his father, Suleiman the Magnificent, on the throne of the Sultanate of the Ottoman Empire among his brothers.

Having caught the prince's attention not only for her beauty but also for her intelligence and cunning, she soon finds herself involved in the intrigues that arise from the confrontation between the power factions that support Mustafa and those that support Mehmed for the succession of Suleiman.
