In this lockdown, I wonder
Again and again, I ponder.
Are we really safe?
Do we all now really behave?

During this lockdown, in the hospital ward,
Is there no one living like a coward?
Not because of the virus in their body,
But because their body has become part of inappropriate study.

In this lockdown, is every family
Spending time with each other merrily?
Are sisters, mothers and other females
Not running away to save their lives from males?

During this lockdown, under the dark sky
When a girl goes out leaving sigh,
Is she still not being chased
By the men hiding in shades?

In this lockdown, i wonder,
Again and again I ponder.
Why are we becoming puppet of insanity?
Why are we letting go of humanity?
