36 ~ Insomnia

She is one badass woman.
She turned away from Jackson and turned to you.
"Now if you will excuse me, you know who will become suspicious if I'm not back soon" She weakly smiled to you before facing Jackson one last time and giving him a warning scowl. She then trekked home.
You were left with a confused Jackson. His eyebrows were knitted and his posture was slightly hunched as he leaned against the door frame.
"Who the heck is she" he asked, slight annoyance evident in his voice. You smirked.
"That's my boyfriends mom" you smiled standing as proud as a lion.
"Oh, and why was she speaking for you" he remarked.
"Because Jackson, she knew what I wanted to say. But she said it in more if a rebellious way then I could've said"
"And it needed to be said in a rebellious way?" He chuckled.
You leaned against the door frame, just opposite him, "Well did the point get across?"
"Yes-"
"And is the information clear in your mind?" You interjected.
"Crystal-"
"Then the task was done correctly, wether it was me or not who delivered it, my job here is done" you smile.
"Then I will be seeing you soon, shortcake" he smirked.
Your index finger shot straight up and moved from side to side, "no nick names I'm afraid, only one special guy can call me a baked good and I'm sorry to tell you that, that guy is not you" you grinned.
Jackson raises his hands in defeat, "understood, don't call Park Jimin's girlfriend any nicknames" he said making you chuckle.
"You're catching on, I see" you chuckle. "Now I will meet you tomorrow before your family arrives and I will write down our agreement and get your signature" you say turning on your heel, as you begin to walk to return home.
Jackson stops you as you begin to move away, "y/n I will sign it, don't think I'm trying to trick you out of me signing it because that is not the case, but is it really necessary? You know me well enough to know that I won't do anything you're not comfortable with" he said shyly.
You return the same smile, "You and I both know that, but, as much as I love my Chim Chim, he does tend to get jealous quite easily, I just want to show him that we both obeyed these rules" you explain.
"I understand" he smiles.
You nod your head and gently wave to him as you continue to walk to the next apartment door.
"See you tomorrow" he hollered.
"Bye" you responded before closing the door of your apartment.

-Jimin
Both Jimin and Alex were getting used to being around one another without the constant physical contact as they used to be like. Jimin found it weird, having been around Alex this long and she hadn't tried to play tonsil tennis with him.
Not that he was complaining.
They both came to terms with the fact that neither of them could escape this situation. They were going to be with each other for the next few years wether they liked it or not.
With what has happened between the two recently, there was a lot of tension present between the both of them.
Mrs. Choi, Jimin's aunt, could sense the bad atmosphere grow worse the more she met them. She expected it from Jimin, as she knew what his thoughts and feelings were as she received quite a few snarky comments from him.
However, when she asked Alex about how things were going, she never told her the truth. She always replied with 'things are going great' or 'I think we've really bonded', all things that were no where close to the truth, quite the opposite really.
Things weren't going great and the two barely spoke to words to each other.
And Jimin wasn't going to have it any other way.
But Mrs. Choi couldn't figure out why she was lying. Mr. Park had informed her about how Alex desperately wanted to go out with Jimin, so she shouldn't have any problems with her.
But she did.
Mrs. Choi didn't know about how Alex opened her eyes and saw that there was more to this world then popularity and status.
And also Park Jimin.
She didn't know that Alex met a guy at a party while Jimin was away most likely snuggling against you somewhere in your apartment.
Because after Alex saw both you and Jimin leave that house party together, that took place maybe two weeks ago, she knew you were the only one in his eyes.
You were the only person he saw.
And vice versa.
So she decided to do something good for herself, and she gave up on him.
Which wasn't easy for her.
Flashback~
Alex walked out of the house where the house where the party took place, and took a seat outside on the grass.
She tugged the roots of the green blades of grass. She pulled them out of the earth from frustration, only to throw them back onto the ground and she flops down as well.
"Stressed?" She hears an unfamiliar voice speak.
"More like depressed" she mumbled.
She didn't even lift her head to face the mysterious voice, she just laid there.
Even though she didn't recognize the voice and the person could potentially kidnap her, she didn't care.
"How so?" The voice inquired and Alex knitted her eyebrows, trying to figure out in her head who the person was.
"What?" She asked the voice.
"How are you depressed" the voice rephrased.
"I was exaggerating, I am not actually depressed" she murmured.
"Well I'm guessing if you compared yourself to being depressed, then something bad must be happening. So what's wrong?" Alex noticed how curious this person was.
"My problems are not something for you to be curious about-" she snapped and finally sat up to face the figure before piping down her voice when she saw Park Jinyoung sitting on the grass not to far away from her.
She knew him from around the school, not to mention his friends are handsome just like him.
He raised his eyebrow at her because of the sudden outburst, but he stayed still when he saw that she wasn't moving.
"Sorry" she breathed as she stood up abruptly and ran her fingers through her hair, slightly tugging at the roots.
He grinned at her flustered state.
Who knew the queen bee of the school could become agitated with just one glance from Jinyoung.
"No need to apologize" he smiled. "Do you want to talk about it?" He offered.
Alex sat there, a little overwhelmed at the sudden statement. No one has ever asked to know how she felt in a situation, but that's most likely because She never really had a problem,
Because she always got her way.
So she finds herself spilling her emotions to this one guy who happened to stumble across her as she was having a tantrum outside a party.
And that's how their story begins.
They saw each other around the school after that and after that, they began sitting together at lunch.
And here is where their story ended, as Alex was then sent to China to stay with Jimin and re-build their relationship.
End of Flashback~
Their feelings had not developed as quick as you and Jimin's but there was definitely some flirting here and there and a few innocent touches, like brushing hands and tousling hair.
But now that Alex was gone, with no explanation left for Jinyoung to be informed on her current whereabouts, their relationship would slowly wither away.
Also the fact the there would be no regular contact between the two would very much deflate the emotions that could be further molded into feelings for each other.
But Mrs. Choi didn't know about this, why would she know, she wouldn't care anyways. All she cares about is trying to get the two of them together, in hopes of creating a new offspring.
And she could do whatever ever she needed to do in order for this to happen.
Under any circumstances.
Her first plan is to get Alex's head back in the game, and she would handle it from there.

Night falls quickly, but your insomnia doesn't. You toss and turn under the covers excessively, not able to slip into a slumber so easily without Jimin beside you.
Because when Jimin is around, you didn't have to worry about your Dad coming back or Jackson asking you a favor that you're not fully comfortable with.
He kept your mind at peace.
You simply used to curl up against him, nuzzling your nose against his neck as your legs intertwined. Your mind was at peace and you could fall asleep easily.
He used to run his fingers through your hair to help you settle into your slumber and whenever you used to stir, he would quietly coo at you and cradle you until you drifted back into your dreamland.
But that doesn't happen anymore and you also have to add a problem to the ones keeping you awake: Jimin, the lovable cutie, who puts you to sleep, is in a completely different country doing god knows what.
Well more like, God knows what is being done to him.
This added to your restlessness, feeling a heavy weight travel around your body.
Nowadays, you notice a chill present, even in a well heated room, under warm covers, the absence of Jimin beside you left a permanent, unfriendly coldness lingering where another body should be.
You thought that the longer Jimin was gone, the easier it would be to get used to him not being there, but in all honestly it just got worse.
You didn't cry yourself to sleep most nights anymore. It would only be when something would happen in the day that would remind you of Jimin that you would find yourself crying, not able to handle the heartache.
But the regular occurrence was that of which you had difficulty slipping into a slumber and it showed more day by day.
The bags under your eyes getting heavier and your eyes looking (and feeling) more strained by the day.
And there was only one thing you could do to help it.
Bring Chim Chim home.
Which was easier said then done.
As dawn finally arrived, and the honey-lemon sun rays shine brightly onto your face, causing shadows from your eyelashes to cascade onto your cheeks, you can feel your sheer nervousness traveling around your stomach.
Today was the day where you meet Jackson's family and pretend to be their loving sons girlfriend and you could think of ten things on the spot that you would rather do. But unfortunately all the agreements are made, you just had to get Jackson to sign them beforehand.
You lazily stand up, feeling the cold wooden floor pass it's cold touch from the smooth surface to the sole of your foot.
You sluggishly lifted your body from the mattress to a standing position. You raise arms above your head and stood on the tips of your toes and you began to fully extend your limbs as best you could.
When you began hearing your bones crack as you stretched, they were signaling you to stop. So you flopped your arms down by your side again.
You continued your morning doing the usual, brushing your teeth, shower, brush your hair.
You didn't realize that you hardly ever have breakfast anymore. You knew that it wasn't good for your metabolism or whatever, but still you never really had an appetite anymore.
The only time you would really eat is when other people were present, like at lunch with Jungkook and Taehyung. Your mind boggled around as you thought of the two boys and how kind they have been to you.
Oh wait, you began thinking.
"Oh shit! I forgot Taehyung" you panic as you jump off your couch, grab your keys and run out the door.
You didn't forget about him as in left him somewhere or as in forget who he is.
You just blurted out the words in panic.
You really meant to say that you forgot that today was Taehyung's birthday, so you were running to get him a present.
You ran into the convenience store and desperately began searching. You knew your present wouldn't be great, as you're only on minimum wage, but hopefully you would still be able to purchase something that he would like and use.
In the end, you bought him a birthday card,
A plant,
A mug,
His favorite sweets,
And a dog toy for his dog Yeontan.
You sigh looking at the crap presents you got for the friend of yours who has done so much for you, but a bright idea passes through your head. You smile as you continue your journey home.
When you arrive there, you grab a pen and paper from your school bag and sit down on the floor in front of your coffee table and write a note to Taehyung, entailing that any day at any time you will prepare a meal for him and you both can have dinner.
This still wasn't a great present even with the added meal plan, but you hoped it had given a personal touch. You then began writing your card, hoping he would like the message you put inside.
Standing up from the coffee table, you gather your things and go back outside. After about ten minutes of attempting to get a taxi (and failing) a kind man gets one for you and you bowed your head to him.
You give the taxi driver Jungkook and Taehyung's address and the driver nodded.
You nervously tapped your foot on the floor of the car and drummed your fingers on your thigh. You really did hope that he liked his gifts.
After paying your fee to the driver, you hop out of the car and make your way up to their penthouse. The last time you were here was when you were getting ready to go to Jiyun's party and you were going to meet Jiyun as well as Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok and Yoongi.
You smiled at the memory.
You came across the doors that you recognized to be theirs and gently knock. You wait a few moments until you hear footsteps come closer on the other side of the door.
Jungkook swings open the door and is surprised to see you.
"Hello y/n" he smiles.
"Hello kookie, I just came to give Taehyung his present" You weakly return the smile.
Jungkook nods and turns to face the inside of the apartment and hollers for Taehyung to come.
He turns back to you and gestured for you to come inside, so you do.
Taehyung rushes down the stairs at the sight of you, almost tripping a few times.
"Hey y/n!!" He beams as he slams a hug into you.
"Hey Tae, Happy Birthday" you whisper gently.
