All the way back to your apartment, all you could think is one thing, I'm going to meet Jimin's mom.

Panic mode: Activated.

You got to your apartment building and Jimin half walked, half dragged you up to your door.

"Do you wanna come in or are you going home?" you yawned.

"Nah, the heavy bags under your eyes tells me that you are tired. I'll go home" he laughed.

"Okay, that was just mean" you said pouting.

"I'm sorry but I'm tired too, so I'll go home" you were a little relieved because you just wanted to go and collapse onto your bed.

"Goodnight chim" you smiled hazily.

"Goodnight muffin" You smiled weakly after hearing your nickname. He then left with a smile and wave.

You closed the door and locked it. You wanted to go to bed but you decided to take a shower first and then you went to bed.

Jimin's P.O.V.

After leaving y/n's new apartment, I got into my car and started driving home.

Luckily, y/n's apartment is not that far from my house. Which was another reason I chose it because that means I'm nearer to her, if she needs anything, I'll be there quick.

The car was quiet and everything outside was muffled, but yet my thoughts were loud and clear. They were full of her and I was aimlessly lost in the most pointless of thoughts.

I was thinking about the party my mothers hosting and how y/n will come, dressed flawlessly as per usual, and how the night will be spent laughing and dancing and who knows what else.

Well I mean I can dream about what I want to happen but, realistically, it won't happen.

I drove my car through the drive way and parked it in my usual spot. I opened the door to my house and walked into the kitchen to get a drink and it seems that someone else had the same idea.

"Hey mom, sorry I'm late" I said, seeing her check the watch on her wrist and glancing back at Jimin with a smile.

"So how's y/n?" She smirked, sipping at her coffee in her porcelain, white mug.

"Why would you simply assume I'm with her?"

"Jimin darling, you are always with her" she blatantly said and I smiled wildly.

"Oh yeah I guess I am" I said reminiscing on the past few days.

"Wow you really have fallen for her" she giggled.

"What? No she's just a-"

"Oh please don't finish that with friend. Jimin if anyone knows you it's me. And I see how you smile when you talk about her, how you choose your words so wisely when speaking about her and I know that you think about her all the time and if you could you would spend every second of everyday with her. Look at you right now! Your smiling at the sound of her name! So am I right?" She was right. Every single word in that was a fact.

"No- that's-" I sighed in frustration. "Look, I just don't really want to talk about this right now"

"I knew it!!" She said while starting to walk closer to him.

"Oh I have news that I think you'll like mom" I said in hopes of her not pushing this any further.

"And that is?"

"I told y/n about you. And I mentioned that she wanted to meet you. And she agreed" his mother gasped.

"Really? Oh this is so exciting maybe she could come to the party we are hosting on Saturday" she said

"Yeah, I already invited her, I thought it would be a good place for you to meet her and plus dad wouldn't be there but what if people there say it to Alex's family?"

"Oh don't worry no one who will be there likes Alex's family and they know how you don't like Alex so if you show up with someone else no one will even think twice about it. And they know how much me and you hate her. So don't stress. But I'm so excited. And also it's formal so tomorrow you will help her find something appropriate to wear, okay?" she eyed me and I immediately started nodding.

"Just one question"

"Yes"

"Even though I don't know her that long, I saw when I told her about you wanting to meet her she got a little worried so she's going to be nervous just don't spring anything up on her please." She started laughing.

"I promise I won't. Now we better get to bed before your dad hears, okay?"

"Yeah you're right we should" I then bid a simple goodbye to my mom and left her to go to my room.

And it wasn't until I was already changed out of my clothes and in bed that I realized I never got that drink that I went into the kitchen for in the first place. So I simply debated with myself about wether I should get a drink or just stay in bed.

It was a long night.

Normal P.O.V.

As your eyes opened and adjusted to the daylight, you thought about what you would be doing for the day and then remembered that you basically have no life and that's when you heard the key in the door.

You raced out of your bedroom to the door and saw Jimin standing there. "Jimin! What are you doing here bro!" You punched him on the arm, in a very "bro" like manner.

"I'm here to take you shopping" he said before punching your arm. "bro"

He then continued into the kitchen and went to the fridge to get a drink of orange juice. "Why? Did you miss me?" He teased.

"No, I was just really bored and you're my only source of entertainment" you said with an awkward smile.

"Wow, I feel loved" he laughed awkwardly and you giggled at the sight.

"Oh, I forgot I brought you coffee" he said as he wakes back towards the counter where he placed them before getting his refreshing, citrus beverage.

"Thank you" you took it kindly and smiled as you saw the lava Java logo on it.

"You like coffee, right?" He asked.

"Yeah I do, I'm just kinda more of a tea gal" you smiled.

"Noted, for future Jimin" he said to himself and you giggled.

"So we are going shopping for this party tomorrow right?" You asked as Jimin nodded, drinking the last of his orange juice.

"Muffin stop saying no on purpose" Jimin sighed.

"I'm not!" You defended.

This is what dress shopping with you and Jimin looked like.

You constantly saying no when you saw the price.

"Luckily I saved the best till last" Jimin perks up, handing you the dress. You grabbed it and returned into the changing room.

Jimin sat on one of the couches provided by the shop. He tapped his foot on the ground as he looked at the blank walls.

He could hear you clothing shuffle and you then opened the door.

It was a long, crimson-coloured dress. It fitted your body figure in all the right places, there was some beautiful intricate details that you adored.

Jimin's breath hitched in his very dry throat.

"Can you help me, the zip is hard to pull up" you said embarrassed that you would ask him to do such a thing.

He blinked, his mind in a complete haze. He luckily did come back to his senses to reply.

"Oh yeah, yeah sure" he walked very slowly over to you. You turned to face the mirror in the small room. He moved closer to you, you could see it from his reflection, to zip up the dress.

Your bodies were almost touching. You could feel his warm breath on the back of your neck making your legs grow weaker with every exhale.

He zipped up the dress using a slow and gentle maneuver and then whispered into your ear "You look absolutely stunning" he spoke softly, looking from your shoulder at the dress in the mirror.

You turned your head and then realized how genuinely close you both were.

Fuck, how bad you wanted to kiss him.

But you knew you couldn't so instead you whispered back a short "thank you" while looking deep into his eyes.

You both inched closer and closer until you couldn't see anything but Jimin. He took up your entire view, but you weren't complaining about it.

Your noses touched and Jimin smiled gently.

You could feel his minty breath against your face.

You were so close to kissing him, your hand rested on his arm and you were ready to move it to his neck at any moment. Excited raced through your veins and clouded your head.

But as luck would have it, Jimin's phone began to ring.

You were snapped back to reality and you began to push yourself away from Jimin, realizing what was going to happen if his phone didn't ring.

You could've swore Jimin looked disappointed.

You hoped that it was a look disappointment.

"I'm sorry" he said closing his eyes with an annoyed expression. He pulled out his phone and checked who it is.

"No, no, it's okay. U-uh maybe you should take that" you said scratching your head in thoughts

"Yeah, I will" he stepped out and you breathed a sigh of relief.

What the hell just happened, you thought while holding your hand to your head.

You were sure that if that phone didn't ring you would probably have kissed him but then again, the consequences of that would just have wish you hadn't of done it in the first place.

It was for the best.

You heard Jimin start talking
"No alex I'm not home, I'm out shopping"
"Yes I'm by myself"
"I'm sorry I can't, I'm busy tomorrow"
"I don't know when I will see you again, I'm gonna be busy for the next few days"
"Yeah, I'm sorry"
"Love you too, bye"

Love.

Tears began to brim in your eyes and you took the dress off (with a lot of difficulty with the zipper). You hung it on the hanger it was on and began to put on your clothes.

You checked the price tag before walking out. And of course, it cost a lot more than you had.

You walked out of the small changing room to see Jimin sitting on the couch waiting for you.

"Oh, you changed" he said and you nodded.

"Yeah" you began. "I don't think we are going to find anything today, so maybe I can rain check on the party tomorrow" you said, your hands beginning to shake.

Why am I so nervous?

"What do you mean?" He scoffed. "That dress was perfect! You looked gorgeous" he said standing up and walking toward you and you put out your hand signaling him to stop what he was doing.

He was so confused. "Muffin-"

"Jimin, I won't be able to attend tomorrow. I'm very sorry. Please apologize to your mother for me" you said simply.

"I don't understand-" he said worriedly.

"I don't expect you to understand" you laughed. "Thank you for the fun day out"

You walked away and put back the dress, Jimin following behind you.

"Is this about what happened in the-"

"Nothing happened" you smiled.

You were hurt and confused.

But most of all, guilty.

You put him in an awkward position. But you could've swore that he must have felt the same connection as you.

But he has to love Alex, as he had said.

"Well at least let's get some food and we can talk" he said gesturing toward various places you could eat, but you shook your head.

"I think I just want to go home" you said stiffly.

"Oh, I'll drive you then" he said with a friendly smile.

"It's okay, I'll get the bus. It drops me really close to home" you said, you hands still shaking a little.

Jimin looked at you with only concern and confusion in his eyes.

"Muffin did I do something wrong?" He asked.

"No, not in the slightest" you said truthfully.

"That's the problem" you whispered, but Jimin didn't hear.

"Well then let me drive you home" he offered.

You shook your head.

"But thank you" you said and left him there.

You just needed to go home.

Go home and cry.

And cry for hours.

For hours and figure your shit out.
