PJO ff prologue #2
My hair dresser sets my hair on fire and I accidentally set him on fire
I burst into the dim room, thick dust dancing in the air.
The sun barely shines trough the dirty glass and I cough. Being on the run from the Police isn't that easy, I tell you. After this, I would need to get a lip job done and higher my cheekbones to not be identifiable.
"Hello?" I shout into the small room with black leather chairs, in hope someone heard me. A crashing is to be heard and a small, round man walks in. His almost bald head seriously makes him look like an old cook.
"How can I help you, my dear?" He asks, almost hissing. I sense something creepy about this guy but firmy shake it off, thinking I was being paranoid from being on the run.
"I would like my hair short like this," I gesture my chin. "And blonde, please." I know that blonde won't suit my asian self, but I had to do anything not to be caught. Mr-Creepy-Cook nods, pointing at a chair. "Thanks, I smile at him and take place."
Just as he's about to take out the scissors, a limping black boy walks in. His hair is cured up like the 90's and he has a slight beard. I smile at him sleepishly, before turning my had toward the mirror. The barber looks miserable, shouting for another employee. "Alexis!" He shouts and shortly after that, a long, thin young woman waks in, smiling sweetly.
After making sure the boy is settled, she begins to wet his hair. I lean back, shutting my eyes. I don't care at this moment if my hair looked awful after this visit, I just wanted to look different. He takes a strand of my hair, sniffing. What's this man's problem?! I think to myself. A soft purr escapes his mouth and at this point, I open my eyes.
"Are you going to cut my hair or going to eat it?" I ask, looking at him trough the mirror. The man nods, grinning softly. I lean back, the stress of the day gone away and shut my eyes.
I feel my hair being cut and I winch every time I loose some. This was my beautiful black hair I had all my happy moments with. Getting a little more relaxed, I smile a little until an awful smell reaches my nose.
"Ew, what the f-" I open my eyes and immediately regret it. I shriek out at the sight, the fat barber holding a torch. And my freaking hair was on fire!
I lunge at him, kicking off the chair. His arm jerks back and his eyes are open in horror, realzing the torch has set his own bald head on fire.
A crashing sound is to be heard and I look back, seeing that the boy was fighting the woman, who wasn't even a woman anymore. She was a bat-like-creature with a gross slimy skin.
Between all the chaos that was going in here, I manage to stand still, breathing. I turn around to the barber, who was screaming an awful scream, trying to find water. I grimace, before heading towards the boy.
Seeing a sharp scissor, I plunge it into the slimy skin and it made a soft hiss. The creature shrieks, letting go of the boy for a moment. I grab him by the hand and looking back one last time, I see the creature trying to get the scissors out of her flesh. I nearly gag at the sight, but I have a random person to rescue.
There were people gathering around the hair dresser and police sirens were to be heard from the distance.
I could feel the warmth of the sun sticking onto my own skin, sweat and burned hair mixing. I lead the boy trough the gathered people, trying to find a shelter.
"Wait, wait I was going to protect you!" The boy shouts from behind me. Surprisingly, he was good at running. We stops before a bus stop, panting. I wipe a sweat off of my forehead and reach into my pocket for some coins. Luckily, I didn't have to pay the hair dresser, for he was dead.
"What do you mean? The freaking creature was beating your ass." I laugh, still punting hard.
"I could have easily faught her off. I was trained for these kinds of stuff." A shrieking sound was to be heard and I look up to see a dirty cab.
"Um, I'm sorry, this is a bus stop, not a cab parking lot." I glance at the driver's seat and let out a scream.
"I told you not to scare her with your one eye, Keto!" One of the witches shouts at the right one. "Now give me the eye so that I can see her!"
"No way!" 'Keto' replies, grabbing the eyeball out of her eye and holding it up. I almost gag at the blubbing sound it makes. "Get it, if you can."
The eyeball flops out of Keto's hand, falling onto the pavement. The boy lunges forward, grabbing it. The three women gasp. "Give it to us!" Gorgons scream and Echidna nods.
"Not if you stop fighting." The three women stop blabbering apruptly. "Now, you'll take us to Camp Half Blood." The boy demands and the witches look ath each other for a moment, then begin whispering between themselves. After coming to a conclusion, Keto spoke. "Alright, alright. But I'll get the eye, because I'm driving." The other sisters groan in frustration.
"But next time I'll get it!" One of them exclaim.
Keto makes a movement, as if she was trying to roll her eyes. "Alright. Now, get in, demigod and satyr, you have a home to go to." And the doors open.
I wasn't believing what they were saying, but I was still on the run and I didn't care if I was going to land in a dumpster. I just didn't want to get arrested. So I nod.
The cap lunges forward, almost making me puke. This was going to be great.

Yes, another one.
