|Shake My Hand|

Keith Kogane looked at the list to see who his team members are. Everyone else had already checked, and it astounded him how no one told him they were on his flight crew. The hallway was deserted except for a group of four girls that stood in the corner talking amongst themselves. A girl with [H/C] walked up to him as he saw your name along the line of co-pilot for his team. That and Aaron Greenly as his Engineer and Millen Falsce as his communications officer.

"Hi, are you Keith?" She asked her voice small and frail.

He looked up from the list before moving a strand of hair out of his eyes. The girl before him was small with the most beautiful pair of [E/C] eyes he's ever seen.

"Yeah, and you are?" He asked her.

She held out her hand as she told him, "Hi, I'm [Y/N] [L/N], your co-pilot. It looks like we're going to be spending quite some time together."

The boy stared at her hand as the girl, [Y/N], took in his features. He was ridiculously cute with dark hair in a mullet, tan skin, and very dark eyes. She would have to memorize what he looked like since she was horrible with putting names to faces or faces to names or just any combination of those two things.

"Don't make this anymore awkward than it already is, Mr. Kogane. Just shake my hand already!" She exclaimed.

"Its nice to meet you, co-pilot." Keith shook her hand.

For the rest of the year, you were Keith's co-pilot.... and you became his best friend. Most days you would watch as your friend, Pidge's, other friend, Lance McClain, try to be better than him. Key word: try.  Even if you were Keith's best friend, you would never admit that to anyone, not even your parents or your friends or your team.

It was a secret between you and Keith. Over course when you were in public, you were constantly bickering which tarnished the idea of you two being friends.  However, that was a façade, and the two of you were close.... maybe even more than close. However, he was a rebel and you were a goody-two-shoes. If people found out, then they would start tearing the relationship apart. 

However, you just thought he was misunderstood.... and that's why he missed you greatly when he left the garrison and went to become a paladin. He never thought he would see you again. He never thought you would be waiting for him at his "shack". He never thought he would find you... like this.
