Chapter 8

"So Lou, what happened after we left?" He stiffened, knowing I wanted to know what happened before. "She came back with a small bag. When I looked inside, it was empty." I thought for a moment. "So do you think she was just going to use it to get her to her?" He nodded. "But how would she know we were gonna be there?" "I may have mentioned it on Twitter." He confessed. I nodded and zipped my bag up. "So what happened before??" He sighed and sat on my bed. He motioned for me to join him and I did. "Well, we had been married for about a month before she realized she was pregnant. When we found out, she immediately wanted an abortion. I refused to let her do it because I mean, it's my kid too and I wanted her. I didn't want her to just deny the baby of its life." I nodded understandingly. "After Alyssa was born, I spent all of my time with her. I loved her to death, but Mackenzie still despised the idea of a child. I try to take care of her as well as I could. Well, one day, I came home early from a concert and I found Mackenzie in Alyssa's room--" He stopped and wiped new tears from his eyes. "-with a knife. She planned on k-killing her. Poor Alyssa was only 9 months old..." I nodded and wrapped an arm around him. "That's horrible..." "That's not even all of it. Did you hear me mention what she did right after her birth?" I nodded. "Well, she tried to send her off. She didn't mention anything to me, and went to the orphanage. She was going to hand her over but luckily I caught her before she could do anything." "Why didn't you divorce her right then and there?" "I did." "Then how did she get into Alyssa's room?" "Well, apparently she still had a key and while her babysitter, Liam, was in the shower, she snuck into the room." I nodded. "Why did she want to see her so bad if she did all of that?" "Who knows..." "Alyssa mentioned remembering something bad about her...she was terrified of her." His eyebrows raised. "I'm glad you got Alyssa out of there. The thought of Mackenzie doing that sickens me." "I know.......besides if it weren't for Alyssa we wouldn't have even met." He said half smiling. I smiled small and kissed him. "Let's get back, they should be home soon." He nodded and stood, grabbing one of my bags. "Oh, Alyssa mentioned sleeping in our bed tonight." "That's fine." He said smiling.

We were sitting on the couch when the front door opened. "Mummy!! Daddy!! Guess what?" She yelled running into the family room. "What sweetie?" "Uncle Harry said I'm his favorite person ever!!" Harry smirked from the doorway. "Guess what else?" "What?" "Uncle Harry also got me ice cream!!" "Did you thank him?" She nodded. "Perrie!" She yelled. The pup stayed where it was. She didn't know she hadn't learned her name yet. She ran around looking for her. "Thanks for taking her out Harry." "Yeah, that was really sweet." He blushed. "It's not a problem. I love her to death." We both smiled. "Goodnight you two." "Goodnight Harry!" We said in unison. "Goodnight birthday girl!!" "Wait!!" She yelled. She was soon latched onto him. "Goodnight." He smiled and kissed her head. "Goodbye little princess." "Bye uncle Harry!" She said waving. She yawned as she walked over to us. "Sleepy?" She nodded. "You wanna go to bed?" "Yes please." "Alright. Let's go." She smiled as we guided her upstairs. I took her into her room. "Make sure to knock before you come into our room alright?" She nodded. I smiled as I left the room. I walked into our larger room and grabbed some clothes. I changed in the bathroom and put my hair in a bun. "Babe, are you decent?" "Yup!" I walked out to see him shirtless, grabbing a tank top from his dresser. I smiled to myself. That's mine. He's mine. A soft knock was heard on the door and I opened it to see Alyssa. "C'mon sweetie!" I guided her towards the bed and she climbed in, laying right in the middle. She immediately fell asleep, gripping her panda tight. She was close into Louis' side. He smirked and carefully leaned over her to kiss me. "I love you babe." "I love you too Lou." A smile lingered on his face as I drifted off to sleep.
