"Okay sir, I will report to you with the progress. Have a nice day sir," I said as I hung up the phone.

I let out a sigh, it's just a start there is a lot to come. I was having a conversation with the Secretary of one of the biggest moguls in Korea.

He called me regarding the annual convention, which is conducted by all the seven moguls of Korea. It's the most prestigious party and like always 'TSG Group' was handling the arrangements for the party.

I started to draft some things as I need to report this to Secretary Son, so he will pass it on to CEO Park. I drafted the points that need to be verified by CEO Park.

After finishing with the drafting part, I mailed the file to one of our workers and asked her to take its printout. I was waiting for her to come with prints when I received a notification.

I checked out the notifications out of curiosity. It was from Chen, my boyfriend. A smile made its way when I saw his text. I hastily opened it to check it,

Chen💜:

Meet me at our usual cafe at noon.

You:

Okay.

It was a pretty dry text, it's not the way he texted me normally. I sighed while massaging my temples to ease my stress. Chen was becoming distant from me. I don't know the reason, I tried to ask him but he always shrugged it off by saying I was just overthinking.

I composed myself when I heard a knock on the door, I gave her permission to enter and she emerged with printouts in her hands.

"Ma'am here are your printouts," she said while handing them to me.

"Thank you," I thanked her while she gave me a pleasant smile before leaving.

After examining the printouts I glanced at the screen to check the time, it was already noon, earlier my mom texted me to tell me that today there was a family gathering. I love family gatherings, I have a really sweet family, even if sometimes they are pushy but everything comes in it when we call it family.

So I thought of taking a half day today, not like I have any pending urgent work. one day for myself won't harm much, right?

I took the printouts along with me as I proceeded to Secretary Son's Cabin. I knocked on the door and entered after receiving the permission.

"Mr. Son, Today I got a call from 'Kim Industries' like every year this year too they want us to help them to hold the Annual convention, here are the points they want to add for this year's party," I said as I handed over the prints to him.

Secretary Son analyzed the points before nodding, "Okay Ms. Jeon, as CEO Park is visiting tomorrow, you can directly report this to him," he said which caught me off guard.

It's been a week since Mr. Son told me about the possibility of CEO Park paying a visit any time near the week. I am not going to lie, ever since that day, I have been curious and slightly excited to meet him.

I nodded, gesturing my approval to his suggestion, "Also Mr. Son I'm taking a half day today," I said which made him look at me, a little shock visible on his face.

"Am I hearing right?, Ms. Jeon wants to take a half-day?" he asked acting all shock. Well, it's rare for me to even take a holiday, half days are another Thing. I know it was shocking but he is doing extraneous drama.

I held my urge to roll my eyes at him. Mr. Son had always been like this from the start, he cracks jokes or tries to annoy everyone. It's his nature, to be exact, he is goofy which makes him somewhat likable.

He and I are around the same age and have been working together for almost 4 years now. He and I had struck up a friendship of sorts.

Seeing my expression he chuckled, "Okay okay, I won't ask you further you may go," he said while giggling, I gave him a sweet venomous smile before leaving his cabin. Not like I needed his permission. but, I need to inform him before going, as he further needs to report it to CEO Park.

I packed up my belongings and headed out, most of the area was empty as it was already lunch break and almost all were in the canteen. I waved at Mr. Son when I spotted him, he waved back too.

I sat in my car, strapping my seat belt. I stepped on the gas pedal and drove off from the company's parking lobby.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee reached my nostrils as I entered the cafe, this is our usual place to meet up.

I took a seat near the window through which I could watch the bustling streets of Seoul. I glanced at my wristwatch to look at the time, it was already 30 minutes past 12.

I sighed, Chen is not a person to get late, so why today? Maybe he is stuck in traffic? I shrugged it and placed my order.

I couldn't wait more for Chen to arrive, coffee is my weakness, in short, I'm a Coffee addict. Once I smell the smell of coffee I can't resist my urge to drink it.

I scribbled something random on one of the papers, while I was waiting for my coffee and my favorite freshly baked chocolate croissant. As a coffee addict, I also have a big sweet tooth.

"Ma'am, here is your coffee and chocolate croissant," the waiter placed my order on the table and went. I smiled as I took a sip from the freshly brewed coffee, and munched on a chocolate croissant, it felt like heaven as I devoured the taste of both chocolate croissant and coffee side by side.

I kept drinking my coffee and munching on my chocolate croissant. I heard the cafe's door opening, as the cafe bells rang echoing the whole cafe. I smiled as I saw Chen but soon it dropped upon seeing the person beside him,

Chen with a girl?...
