Indoors and Outdoors
I do not understand why the human is
Obsessed with hiding in his cave.
He lays all day staring at squares and boxes.
The human constantly makes loud noises.
The only notable thing he does is stroke my fur.
The cave is so strange.
Food randomly appears.
Inside, it smells of nothingness.
Gray in color and as large as a bear.
The cave is almost like a tunnel.
I can never find the entrance or exit.
Somehow, the human has no problem with it,
So I simply follow him around.
Many times I see the outside,
But for some reason, can't get through.
A fat, out-of-shape white cat is always looking at me.
I scratch away, and the human points his stick-like paws
At me and utters something.
I simply ignore him and continue to battle my adversary.
Once I leave the cave, I can finally enjoy myself.
Smelling the fresh air, hunting white mice,
Making the birds stop their irritating singing by scaring them,
Digging in the sand and rolling on the grass,
Climbing the trees and massive boxes,
Squaring off against other cats,
And making those dogs mad,
Ripping out the pointless green,
Ball-shaped vegetable that smells like mud
There is nothing like it.
The human should be more brave and be outdoors.
