Goldfish and Cat
I stare at the scaly thing,
Covered in gold,
Swimming aimlessly in the water box.
I watch it move without blinking,
I lick my whiskers,
My teeth will sink into your scales.
Fish tastes so nice,
And you will soon be in my belly.
But the water is an obstacle,
No matter, I will get you someday.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner,
You're on my mind,
You will be my icing on top,
As the human would say.
You swim aimlessly in a small watery box,
A pointless existence, really.
Soon, I will give you meaning,
Once you enter my belly.
One day, I visit the watery box,
As usual,
But you are dead,
Turned upside down, floating on top,
Within my reach,
But I have no desire to eat you.
You're thrown out,
And I ponder about your small world.
