*Pari Pov*

Today we were all working calmly of course, except Shilpa who is just doing stupid things like makeup, browsing personal stuff etc..

We all tried to tell her that she shouldn't do those things and should complete her work. But as usual, she is not listening at all.

Before the lunch break, Maam and Mr.Akash came out of their cabins and said there is some announcement, and we all should go into the conference hall.

What is the announcement? They should tell me before telling all of them right!

Anyway, now we all are standing at the conference hall and waiting for them. When they reached they got on to the stage.

Mr.Akash said, "We are going to have a new job here."

Everyone started to talk, but he raised his hand and said, "No! Another new member is not going to come here and join. The job is the counselor one and also care taker."

"One of you is going to get appointed to this job. This is going to be an extra duty to that person. The person is going to be like next to both of us." Maam said.

"The remaining employees should write their problems and everything in a letter and place it in a box which we are going to place on every floor. Then that person will read and answer them by sending email containing answers for every problem or question every week." Mr.Akash said.

"In short words that a person is going to be the mediator between us and all the employees and is going to get the honor next to us." Maam said.

"You all are going to select the person with votes, which are going to conduct in the next week. If we don't like the person, then we both can select one instead of that selected one. Please don't forget that." Mr.Akash said.

I think this is not the plan because Maam suddenly looked at Mr.Akash shocked. What is he planning to do?

After that announcement, we all left to go to a lunch break. When we are sitting in the canteen, everyone was just thinking deeply about the announcement.

"Guys, don't think that much. We will know the selected person by next week." I said.

"And we all know that you are going to be that person." Rani said.

"Come on guys be serious. Why would I be.? I said.

"In this company, you are most deserving, Pari. When this company is breaking down, you are the one that's saved it and everyone in the company knows about that. So we are sure." Sakshi said.

"But..." I started to say, but stopped myself when they gave me that says 'Shut up! We know better'.

"I am completely sure about that, Pari. So, don't even try to say something else." Imran said.

I shrugged and continued eating. I am actually going through a slight heart-breaking process. He is acting completely weird with me.

By the next week, everyone voted for the person they think is suitable for that job, and I too voted for 'Rani' because she is here in this company for a longer time than me and is also capable so.

Again, we all reached the conference hall for the announcement. Everyone looked at me smiling. I mean each and every one.

Now I am actually kind of sure that I am the one they selected.

After few minutes, Both Mr.Akash and Maam reached the stage, but Maam is looking completely disappointed.

What happened to her?

"So, we got the results, and we also know the person you selected. But I hope you didn't forget that we can cancel that person and a selection of our own." Mr.Akash said looking at everyone except me.

"So, any way you have selected Ms.Pari for this job." He announced.

All my friends along with few employees congratulated me, and I have this big smile on my face. Wow, it is actually a great honor. Dad will be so proud.

"But!" He said, stopping everyone. Now what?

I saw Maam closing her eyes. What is happening here?

"But we decided to cancel that person and select another person who got few votes." He said shocking all of us.

"And the person we both selected is Ms.Shilpa." He announced.

"What?" came the reply from each one of us.

"No this is, not at all my decision." Maam said looking at me.

"Anyway, you all need to respect her as you do us and even call her 'Ms.Shilpa'. Don't forget that." He said and left the hall.

As for me, I am just trying to control my tears. What have I done to him that he hates me so much?

"I am sorry for this, Ms.Pari." I heard Maam saying.

I nodded and stood at the same place. Everyone gave me sad smiles and left the hall.

My friends stayed with me, and we all went into the canteen as it is already lunchtime.

We all just sat there calmly and ate disinterestedly.

"What is wrong with him?" Imran asked angrily.

"Please tell me the answer if you know it." Rashi said.

"He canceled Pari and gave that to a stupid girl who doesn't know anything but flirting. I am telling you he has gone mad." Sakshi said.

"I agree with that." Rani said.

"Maybe I have done something wrong." I said because I don't want his employees to hate him just because of me.

"Don't!" Came the reply from them.

"We all know you are perfect for it. Even Maam knows that. You saw her face. She didn't like the decision at all." Rani said.

I nodded and completed my lunch. After that, we all went to our floor where Mr.Akash, Maam, and Shilpa, I mean Ms.Shilpa waiting for us.

We all took our places, then Mr.Akash said, "Ms.Shilpa is going to sit in my cabin as she needs to ask me the answers to many questions."

Shilpa is just smirking at all of us.

"Like I said she is going to be next to us so you all are not going to have any contact with us directly. You all can approach through her only and even you Ms.Pari." he continued. How much more will you break me, Mr.Akash?

"She is going to completely take the job after the ball. In the meanwhile, Ms.Pari you need to teach her about this company only basic." He said looking at me.

Rani snorted at that and remaining rolled their eyes.

After that, they went inside his cabin. And I just fell into my seat.

Now I am going to work under her. I actually joined this company to learn some work and get experience.

And if I have to work under some person for whom I have to teach even the basics, then it is better not to work at all.

Deciding what to do next I thought to email it first and saw a new mail from the company the official account.

I opened it curiously and got myself broken even more. Seeing my expression, Rani came near me and saw that.

"That Stupid!" she stated.

"What happened?" Sakshi asked.

"Do you know what actually is the result? I got one vote, which I am sure Pari must have given it. And Ms.Shilpa got only one vote, which we all are sure that she must have given herself. The remaining all votes belong to Pari only." Rani said fuming.

"What? How dare he take this stupid decision after seeing this result?" Imran said.

"Guys, I decided what I should do. Please don't hate me." I said controlling my tears.

Rani placed her hand on my shoulder and said, "We can understand, Pari. You don't deserve this at all."

To which all of them nodded. I started typing the letter and decided not to mail it.

Because I am not doing anything wrong here. If I don't do it, then my reason to fight with my parents and come here is a complete waste.

After typing it, I took a deep breath and knocked on his cabin. Hearing his reply I entered and saw Maam sitting there lost in her thoughts.

"Ms.Pari, whatever it is, it can wait." Mr.Akash said.

"It can't wait, Mr.Akash. I just want to give you this." I said gave him my letter.

"You are quitting! But why?" He asked.

"Ms.Shilpa, can you go outside?" I asked her.

"Whatever it is you can say it in front of me. I am going to be your boss too right." She replied arrogantly.

"You can say it in front of her." He said. Maam gave me a nod.

"I am not working here for some salary or anything. I hope you know that already." I said, and he nodded.

"So anyway, I joined here to learn work from the capable people and get that experience completely." I continued.

"So?" Shilpa asked arrogantly.

I glared at her and said, "But not to work under a person to whom I will be the one that is going to teach her even the silly basics. Who can't write even a simple dictation? Who knows nothing but flirting the whole day?"

They all were shocked by my outburst, and I continued saying, "I don't deserve to get humiliated and get canceled to select a person who got only one vote, which is an even self-vote."

Mr.Akash was totally stunned because I think he thought, I will not get it.

"As you all forgot that I am P.A of this company, and I get the results along with you. So anyway, like I was saying I am resigning because I don't deserve this even the least." I said.

I heard claps from the side and saw Maam is the one doing it. As for Shilpa, she is just fuming.

Mr.Akash composed himself and said, "In one week, there is going to be a ball. And we need you there because you are one of the reasons for success. So, after that, you can quit. Just come for only this week to the office."

I wanted to reject, but after looking into his eyes I said, "Ok.".

Because at least he accepted that I am a reason for the success. I am okay with that. However, as for the heart, I don't even want to think about it.

When I was about to leave he said, "In this one week teach Ms.Shilpa anything you can."

"Of course, Mr.Akash. I am always ready to teach toddlers. I will at least make her learn to type a single sentence by the end of this week." I said and left his cabin ignoring the chuckling from Maam.

I told everything that happened to my friends, and they said that my replies were the perfect ones, and they completely deserve this.

Let's see what happens in this one week...
