Chapter Thirteen
Him | Her
"Hello? April?"
"P-Please h-help. . .m-my s-sister. . ."
"What's wrong? Is she okay?!"
"S-She's hu-hurt, please h-help."
"Where are you?"
"H-Home. . ."
YOU ENDED THIS CALL
His heart palpitated quickly as he cut the call and ran down the stairs, swiftly grabbing his car keys, taking no time to start the engine. The speed limit was above law but he didn't care, all that matter now was seeing her. Making sure that she was okay. He made that mistake once, and now, he'd never do it again. It only took him five minutes tops to get to her house. Panic took no halt and swept through him as he pulled up in front her house, only to dash out the car with speed that off a race car.
"May?! April?!"
He called out loudly as he opened the door without knocking. But why would he care to knock when the love of his life was in danger? Oh, God only knows what state she is in right now.
"Here."
A small voice whimpered as he marched to the kitchen. The sight before him was one he never wished to see. . .
"Fuck, how did this happened?"
He asked the sobbing girl, who held her unconscious sister in her small arms. She was all bloody and bruised, shattered glasses and kitchen ware were everywhere. Blood, there was so much. Her body looked pale, her lips blue. He reached to check her pulse gently, his heart was ready to jump out of his chest. He closed his eyes and sighed in relief, taking her up gently in his arms, away from the little girl and into the car.
"We need to hurry."
Her sister panicked as the unconscious, beaten girl was bleeding uncontrollably.
"Here, hold this to her side and don't move it."
He instructed her as she nodded, putting his hoodie on the wounded girl's side carefully. The wounded girl was barely breathing which worried him even more, but nevertheless, he pressed the gas and without care about law and sped to the hospital where she was admitted and treated until further notice.
"Is she going to be okay?"
The little girl asked softly as she sat on the hospital bed with freshly changed clothing yet her mind still on her big sister. He looked at her and gave a little smile.
"Yeah, she will. She's a strong person May, she'll make it."
"She protected me."
The little girl whispered, her brown orbs stared at her hands that she nervously played with, something she would do if she were nervous or scared. His eyebrow furred in confusion as his grey eyes diverted to the strawberry blonde headed girl.
"From what May?"
"Them. . .my parents."
