ISABELLE'S POV

I stood still for 3 seconds before I realized; Dean spoke. "Uh..." I stood up and walked to him. What do I say?

"Uh... I was wandering..." I didn't know what to say. He must think that I'm a psycho new girl.

An idea popped up in my head. "Your notes! Can you lend then to me?"

Dean took off his school bag and gave me a few books. "Is this all?" I asked. He's not going to answer.

"I-I have homework to do."

I gasped. "You're a stammerer?!"

Dean shot me a cold glare. "No."

Before I could reply him, he was already gone.

Vina walked in the class with Cat by her side. "Okay so can someone tell me the owner of that hot, bold and sexy voice?"

"Dean!" The girls chorused.

Cat looked confused. "Dean? What do you mean Dean?"

"What did you do?"

"Where you friends before?"

"What did he say to you?"

"Does he like you?"

They kept all their questions coming and I just stood there looking as confused as them.

"Did you hear his voice?" Alfreda literally started fanning herself.

"I could go to school just for that." Britain agreed and they both giggled.

"Can you guys lay off Isabelle. It's her first day and she doesnt need your questions to ruin it."  Kendrix said.

"But still... we're talking about Dean here!" Vina said.

"Your first crush." Bucket mumbled under his voice, Vina heard him.

"Oh please no girl ever walked into this school and left without crushing on Dean."

The other two girls except Cat nodded in agreement.

"Dean never speaks. I don't believe you guys and if he decides to what's so special about Isabelle?" Cat asked. Ouch.

"What did she do that we didn't do?" Cat asked again only this time, she faced me.

"Uh..." Mantle did his face like he was saying the obvious. "...she's hot and you're not?"

I would have given Mantle a high five but a fight started between him and Cat. "How dare you say that?"

"It's the truth?"

"If you keep up that smart attitude with me I swear to God I'll-" Mantle cut her short.

"You'll what?"

"Okay guys that's enough!" Kendrix pulled Cat away from Mantle. "I'm going to kill you!" Cat threatened.

"Cat that's enough!" Kendrix yelled.

Cat glared at Kendrix before walking to Vina's side. I don't know why Cat reacted like that, I don't know why Mantle defended me like that but I know that Cat's hiding something.

"What time is it?" Vina asked.

We all looked at the wall clock and pannicked. "5:16?!"

"How the hell did it get that late?"

"I have a dinner at five."

"My parents are going to kill me!"

I quickly grabbed my school bag, said goodbye to everyone including Cat and left the class.

I got home earlier than expected, fifteen minutes to six. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw my mom in the living room watching soccer on TV.

"Mom I'm home!"

"Hey Izzie how was school?"

"Surprisingly good but there's this boy..." I trailed off to see if my mom was interested. "What boy?"

"Dean! He's my seat partner and I'm having trouble with him."

"Did he do anything to you? Because if he did I'll..."

I cut her short. "No! He didn't do anything! He's just so... quiet."

"Izzie is that you?" My dad asked from the kitchen.

"Yes dad! I'm home!"

"Took you long enough." He walked to the living room with a straight face.

"She was just telling me about her quiet seat partner." My mom said.

"I'm sure she's just upset that she has no one to make noise with." My dad looked at me from head to toe as if checking for any bruises. Satisfied with his scan, he sighed and walked back into the kitchen.

"And Isabelle you have a phone Drake said that he's been calling you. Pick up, will you?"
After saying that, he was gone.

I went upstairs to my room and brought out my phone and saw 13 missed calls all from Drake. I didn't waste time in calling back.

"Hey baby." 'Baby' is the nickname I gave my ex- bestfriend.

"For the millionth time stop calling me that!"

I smiled. "You like it when I call you that. What do you want?"

"To find out how your first day was."

"It was good."

"Guess what?" He asked.

"What?"

"Guess."

"Tell me."

"No guess."

"Your grandma died."

There was silence for about 3 seconds. "My grandma died 3 years ago Isabelle, what year are you in?"

I laughed. "I knew that! Just tell me what you want me to guess."

"Well..." He let out a breath and said. "...I'm coming to your school." 

"Liar."

"I'm not lying." 

"Liar!"

"I'm not lying!"

"Liar!"

"Shut up."

"L..l...i...a...r..!"

"Grow up Isabelle!"

I stuck my tongue out playfully. "No way baby!"

"Stop! And stop sticking your tongue out!"

I laughed, Drake knows me too well.

"Fine. But I still don't believe you!"

I could tell that Drake was smirking on the other line. "Just wait and see."

"Can I tell you about someone?" I asked.

"Tell me anything."

With that, we spent 3 minutes talking about Dean. I just couldn't seem to get his voice out of my head, maybe talking about him will help. 

DEAN'S POV

Big mistake.

Why on earth did I make such a stupid mistake?

Relax Dean they were only like 7 in that class no one would believe them

But Cat, Cat was outside. I'm sure they told her I spoke.

Forget about Cat, she doesn't matter.

Thank you Isabelle you're making me have a heart to heart conversation with MYSELF. 

My elder sister wlked into my room and asked. "D what's wrong with you? You've been acting so strange."

"I spoke today." I said.

"No way! Why? What teacher made you do that?!" 

I shook my head. "Not a teacher, a student."

"Student?"

"A new girl."

"What's so special about this new girl?"

She's pretty.

Where the hell did that thought come from? "Nothing. I don't know...the words just slipped out of my mouth." 

"Crap. Don't do it again, okay? You promised yourself."

I nodded my head.

"Mom and I are going to welcome the new neighbours, they're three houses away. Are you coming?"

"No. When's dad coming home?"

My sister opened the door and said. "I don't know Dean but mom said soon." She frowned and walked out of my room.

Yeah, soon is what she said six years ago.

Last time I updated too early now today I'm a little too late. 😅😅😅

I collected my report card today and I passed! This is the first time my mom's seeing it and not complaining. Yay me!
