After a couple of minutes of pushing Joshua to the front door, we finally made it in. My first experience at a high school party is not going to go well. I'm not going to let this kid wander around and be influenced by some of these high school delinquents.

Don't call me a nerd but I did some surfing on the web and I read that many high school students throw parties with alcohol and drugs. And I don't want this kid to be a screwup and end up arrested one day.

I looked around the room and saw a bunch of people screaming out the lyrics of Mask Off as they jumped across the room. I turned to my right and saw a bunch of guys around a football player who was drinking from a keg yelling "Chug chug chug!"

I'll probably end up throwing that shit right back up

I turned the other way pulling Joshua's hand so he could follow me. I walked around the house looking for a place to leave him. I found a dead living room that very few people were in pushed him onto the couch and squatted down so I was eye level with him.

"Wait I'm only 15 I'm not ready to have sex." He said looking at me wide-eyed as I leaned forward to him. I squinted my eyes at him.

"You're going to stay here until we come to get you. Do not wander off, do not move, do not do anything understand?" I told him. "If you have to use the bathroom run to it and run back here. I will bring you snacks throughout the night but tonight is my night. This is my first party and I'm going to enjoy it one way or another." He nodded his head quickly at me leaned back and got his phone from his pocket.

I stood up straight and looked back at the others who were staring at me. "Let begin the fun shall we?"

I stood in front of the door where the yelling was coming from and I was beyond disgusted.

Then the owner is going to lay in their bed not knowing someone did the nasty on it. I gripped the door handle and counted to three before twisting it open.

I was amazed as I walked into the room where a girl, whose name I did not remember, and Xavier, from my math class, stood on the bed fully clothed.

I have no clue what on Earth is wrong with me but the scene in front of me was shocking

"Join you guys in what exactly?" I asked, not hiding the fact I was looking at them weirdly. "Well, we are doing a little social experiment in which if we pretend we are having mind-blowing loud sex enough for everyone to hear, it will generate a large number of people who will think we are cool enough to be their friends and KABOOM! And if you want to join us it will be like we had a threesome, which will make me look extremely cool and you two will look like freaks which a lot of guys seem to dig!" He yelled before continuing "After all of this we will then be popular. Well, that's what it said on the website called Make Friends and become popular with just 5 easy steps." He said jumping off the bed and landing in front of me causing me to yell out in surprise.

"What were the steps?" I dared to ask him as I took a step back distancing myself from him.

"Step one find a girl who is as desperate as you, that's Lindsay right here, so check that off the list. Step two find a high school party to attend, here we are so, check. Step three lock yourself in a room and pretend you are having the best sex in your life semi-check since we forgot to lock the door. Step four tell the whole world about it and tell them your partner is a beast in bed also make sure to keep a souvenir, which will be in process soon. And lastly, step five you're finally popular so get money and get hoes, and again that's in process." He said smiling widely as he held up Lindsay's fiery red thong and she waved his boxers in the air smiling.

"Good luck with that. See you guys around." I yelled running out of the room. They closed the door behind me but not before shouting "You can still join us there is still time don't be such a buzz kill," and continued what they were doing.

"Ohh yes papiiii!" Lindsay yelled loudly. This is what I got for exploring the house after I lost Nina, Victor, and Ruby.

I went to the kitchen and got a plate and started piling food on top of it to bring it to Joshua. I walked to where he was seated and sat next to him.

"You know this is my first party too," I said. "Really?" He asked locking his phone and taking the food plate from me saying a quick thanks. "Yeah, I've never been to a high school party," I told him.

"That's pretty sad. I mean I'm only 15 I still have time but you, on the other hand, you're almost an adult in your last year of high school on your way to the real world." He replied taking a bite of his food and shaking his head in disappointment.

He noticed my glare and continued talking "but I mean it's cool how you focused on school and shit now it's time to have fun and enjoy being a teenager right?" He said laughing.

"Yeah enjoy and have fun," I said sarcastically. "I don't even know where to begin." I honestly said taking a look around.

Julian said to avoid drinking

So I shouldn't drink, right?

Should I bust a move on the dance floor?

Yeah, that's a big fat no, they are not ready for this tame beast yet. Years of dancing to Britney Spears and Beyoncé in my room will be brought to life on the dance floor.

"Why don't we make this memorable for both of us?" Joshua said bringing me out of my thoughts. "You just can't let me drink too much," I told him to which he nodded his head.

I thought about it for another minute and nodded my head. "Let's do this for real this time."

"Hit me, baby, one more time!" I yelled as Joshua slid another red Jell-O drink my way. I felt a little strange sensation when I first tried it but I got used to the flavor.

"Let's go to the dance floor!" Joshua yelled offering his hand which I quickly refused to grab. He walked towards me took my hand and dragged me to the dance floor ignoring my protest. Just then the song DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love started playing "Oh yeah this is my song! Are you ready?" He asked and I shook my head at him wanting to leave. "Too bad I want to dance!" He yelled laughing loudly. He walked around me as I stood still this so can't be happening right now.

Can we talk about how this is a huge throwback song?

'So we back in the club with our bodies rockin' from side to side' I felt Joshua's hand go on my waist from behind me and moved my hips side to side along with his.

'Thank god the week is done I feel like a zombie goin' back to life'  I felt myself slowly letting go and following his movements shortly after.

'Hands up and suddenly we all got our hands up' I suddenly felt my body be lifted off the ground as Joshua lifted me from the ground.

He twirled me and lifted me a couple of times throughout the entire song making it fun for both of us. We matched each other's movements as if we were practicing for weeks. After the song was finished I was a laughing mess I probably sounded like a hyena. I pulled Joshua off the dance floor and went to look for Nina and the rest of them when the song finished.

"Admit it you had fun dancing," Joshua said smirking widely walking next to me. "I did," I told him honestly as I saw Nina a few steps ahead with...

She is talking with Noah fucking Anderson. 'Yes, bitch!' I wanted to scream out. She looked over his shoulder and made eye contact with me and I shot her two big thumbs-ups and mouthed "Get it girl" and made some rapid hip thrusting movements hinting at her and Noah. She looked at me with wide eyes and brought her eyes back to Noah not expecting that I would do that.

I took a seat on one of the empty chairs as I waited for Nina to be done with her boo thang, well whenever that will be. I took out my phone and noticed a DM from Julian.

Julian- how is the party going so far?

Me- so far so goooood besides the fact I walked in on someone almost doing the dirrrtyyyyy dirtyyyy. I also tried these red Jell-O shots. SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS EVVVVERYBODYYYY!!!!! They were amazingggg and I danced a lot!!! I'm having a lot of fun!! If I knew parties were such a blast I wouldn't have waited that long to come to one!

Julian- Zoe I think you may be a lil bit tipsy, those Jell-O shots contain alcohol in them please slow down

Me- bOOOooo YOU WHORE! You no fun!!

Julian- just looking out for you that's all, I noticed you were having a lot of fun on the dance floor you got some moves. Surprised you didn't break a leg or an arm. You were dancing with that guy who was spinning and lifting you around like you guys were auditioning for Dancing with the Stars?

Me- you saw me dancing???!!!???? HAHA I love dancing you have no idea what moves I can bring to the table

I looked around the room and saw a couple of people on their phones but none of them were Julian.

Is he here?

Julian- Maybe one day you'll show me and I can challenge you to a dance-off. Maybe I was there. Maybe I wasn't. Who's to say? You looked beautiful. I didn't think you could look better in person. You really surprised me.

Me- Okay, now you have to spill. Were you hiding in the shadows or something? And is that so? You must be very confident in your moves. and thankkk youuu JUJU you're so veryyyy sweet. Buttt I didn't see you :,( I'm upset look at that tear I shed.

Julian- hiding? Nah. Observing? Maybe. And for the record, your moves weren't bad. But I think you were holding back. And as for me, confident? Please. I'm a legend. Me- let me guess—you're one of those guys who thinks biting your lip and a little hip sway counts as 'sexy dancing. Oh, so now you're a dance critic? Should I have gone full Beyoncé instead? And that's Joshua yeah he's a nice guy just met him today

Julian- that's a low blow. I'm more of a body roll and smolder kind of guy.  I'm just saying, you've got potential. However, I couldn't help but think...your partner was a little offbeat. You deserve better and I bet he is, seems like you really enjoyed his company tonight huh?

Me- yeah I did. He kept me company since my BFF was talking to her crush and left me for about an hour in a half so I needed to find someone. If I knew you were here I would've loved to meet you and hang out!!

I locked my phone and stood up Nina was still talking to Noah making me wonder if any of them were going to make a move on each other.

I took a big gulp of whatever liquid was in a cup hoping it was water and marched over to them. The taste was very bitter.

Don't forget to make the duh face it completes the whole thing. "Uhh, Zoe let go," Nina said trying to remove her body from the close distance we were all in.

We are in a damn group hug don't back away, how rude.

"No, it's family time. Noah did you finally ask Nina o-- OWW!" I cried out when I felt Nina's foot come down to mine hard. I at that moment wished she didn't wear those boots with heels on them.

My toes were crying out in pain

"It was nice catching up with you Noah maybe we can get together another time. I need to take care of my dear friend here, looks like she had too much to drink." Nina said finally getting out of my hold and pulling me away from Noah.

"I'll see you around you little nugget! Don't go hoeing around now ok? I'll be watching you!" I yelled looking back to Noah who looked confused as ever as Nina dragged me farther away from him.

"Thanks for that Zoe. Have you been drinking?" She asked gathering her hair and putting it in a messy bun on top of her head, she looked like an egg.

"I think sooo," I said shrugging my shoulders. "I'm having a little bit of fun but I want to spend some time with you now," I said placing my head on her shoulder and looking up at her. She looked down at me and then nodded her head. "Why don't we hit the dance floor? What do you say?" She asked.

"Can we get some water first?" I asked not knowing if I could handle more alcohol in my system with the little bit of food left in my stomach from earlier. "Sure let's go." She said smiling.

Little did I know, the night was just getting started we were in for an adventure

You have reached the end of chapter six my friends.

The question I have for you this week is...
What do you constantly think about that, either makes you sad or just makes you feel some type of way? It can be anything.

I would have to say I constantly think about what the future holds for my family and I. We have been through so much ever since I was in elementary. Our life has been a constant ride of ups and downs from losing our house too so much more. I deeply hope the future is filled with many blessings for us. I hope we are financially stable, healthy, and most importantly I hope we are truly happy. Thinking about everything my family has been through and how it affected me saddens me, but it helped me grow into the person I am today and I truly hope that will pay off in the future.

With everything I've been through in life, here are some things I've learned over the years that you should probably know, it may help you please just take a few minutes to read ->

1. Be grateful for everything you have, NEVER and I mean NEVER not even for a second, take anything for granted. I learned that the hard way. Value everything you have in life and be grateful for it. There are people in worse condition, who will love to have what you have and will die to switch places with you.

2. Your happiness and your family is very important. Spend time with one another life is short, it's not worth fighting with loved ones. You never know when their time will come.

3. Not everyone has good intentions or a good heart like you may have, and sadly that includes family too.

4. God does everything for a reason, try to find out that reason. Everything he does has a meaning behind it, you may not like the way he did it but it was for your own good, believe that. He works in mysterious ways and the results will turn out to work in your favor.

5. You are way stronger than you think, don't give up. Fight for what you want, do right by others and great things will come your way.

6. God is always listening to your prayers, but don't just pray when you want something. Pray for your wellbeing, your family's, and others in the world. Pray every day and give thanks for waking up and living another day that some were unfortunate to not see and live. You will quickly see how God answers your prayers.

7. Friends come and go, after all, that is life. You will meet new ones along the way in your journey, those who will greatly influence you to do great things and they may not see what you accomplished at the end but always give thanks to them. Don't hang out with those who will hold you back, those who don't want you to succeed in life. Leave those friends behind you, and you will end up feeling way happier believe me.

8. Drugs not only harm you but others around you. Stay away from them. Marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, heroin, etc. I've seen the damage this has caused my family. Be wise and think before you do it. Once you're hooked it's a hard habit to break don't put yourself nor your family through that.

9. Not everyone is going to like you and that is totally ok! Don't ever believe you have to change your likes and dislikes and life habits to fit there's. You are you. God created one of you, don't try being someone your not.

10. Don't rush into things, take your time. There's no need to rush growing up. Don't rush into relationships you are not ready for because everyone else is dating. You may feel lonely at times but that's ok, wait for the one who will come into your life and show you what you've been waiting for. I promise you, you won't regret it one bit.

11. Learn to love the skin you're in. You are beautiful in your own unique way. Learn to love your body and it's imperfections. Don't listen to what others say. At the end of the day, your opinion of yourself should be the only one that matters. Love yourself because that will be the only way you can allow someone else to love you.
