Ditya moved in her sleep by the disturbance caused by the sun light peeping throw the window. She opened her eyes a little bit only to find her self in a non familiar surrounding. She felt two strong arms holding her by her waist and pulling her even closer as she moved.

All the events of last night came running to her mind and formed a smile on her lips. She tried to move a bit to grab her phone from the side table only to find 72 missed calls and 100s of messages.

She was horrified by the no of calls. She looked at the time and it was around 12.15 pm. She check and found calls from Yuvi pa, mahi bhai, her parents, bhajji pa and 30 from sakshi.

D: Virat wake up!! Wake up!!

V: kya hua Ditya??? Go back to sleep why are you disturbing my precious sleep.

He said without even opening the eyes.

D: Because its already afternoon and guess there is something wrong I have 72 calls from our family and friends.

V: ok lets see what it is.

He picked up his phone to see another set of 68 calls and 100s of messages.

V: Ditya we are so gone. We completely forgot to inform our where about to them. They must be worried.

D: true. God  I can’t even imagine how they all gona react.

V: Lets call Mahi bahi but first you drop a message to your parents.

D: yeah.

They called MSd.

V: Hello bhai.

Msd: Hello k bacche. Tu hai kaha?? Where the hell are you. And where is Ditya? Is she with you?

V: Bhai. Me and Ditya are together and all safe and sound.

Msd: wait let me put you guys on speaker. We all are here and worried as hell for both of you.

V: Ok bhai.

Yuvi: Oye cheeku kaha hai yaar. And i hope my sister is ok.

D: Bhai i am fine. Don’t worry.

Sak: what don’t worry Ditya? You both are missing since yesterday. How we are suppose to be calm.

D: But we are fine. Its just our phones were on silent and we didn’t noticed the call.

Yuvi: Didn’t notice the call. Wow cheeku getting romantic kya?? What were you upto cheeks.. tell me tell me.

Hazel: shut up yuvi. Not now.

D: thanks hazel.

Bhajji: its good that you guys are fine. Now come to my house as quickly.

V: Ok pa. Will be there in two hours.

Msd: Two hours?

Yuvi: where are you that you will take two hours to reach.

V: wo main.. i mean hum.

Yuvi: are tell na? Sharmana kya??

V: we are at my farm house.

Yuvi: waah waah waah! Date at farm house. Nice. You have never taken us to your farm house.

V: Bhai dekho na yuvi pa....

Yuvi: Oye why behaving like a kid?

Msd: Ok ok guys enough of it now. Cheeku come we all are waiting for you both.

Yuvi: Haan and bring bhabhi along.

V: Yeah yeah we are coming.

As soon as they ended the call Ditya got up and started getting ready to leave. Virat used the other washroom to make it quick. As soon as they got ready. They hooped in the car and in about an hour they were outside Bhajji pa’s house. Geeta opened the door and let them in.

Bhajji : we need an explanation from you guys.

Yuvi: yes we need an explanation. What happed to you yaar cheeks? You was such a saddu and boring person. Look at him now. Bhabhi ko leke gayab.

All chucked at what yuvi has said. Except for Ditya and Virat who were blushing like anything.

Sak: waise Ditya being your best friend i should not be doing it but since you guys are playing secretive. Let me ask you the story behind those?

She said pointing towards the faint love bites all around her neck and winked at Ditya.

Ditya reached a new high of blushing. She looked down blushing and was not able to meet the gaze of all the people around her. She made a mental note to take revenge of this from sakshi.

Geeta: why Ditya? I guess we should ask the culprit Virat about this.

Virat was stunned by the straight forwardness these ladies have decided to show today. He was speechless.

Hazel: look at these red tomatoes. 

Virat had enough of it and thought of fighting back.

V: you guys are asking as if you don’t know. Have same shame guys. Shameless.

Bhajji: hww we are shameless??

Yuvi: you are doing all this hanky panky and calling us shameless.

V: Should i just forget that you are like my brothers and open the secretes i am holding on. 

The leg pulling session went on till late at night until all of them decided to call it a day.

Virat came to drop Ditya home.

D: Virat its late. You should better stay.

V: Its ok Diti. Another 30 min and i will be home.

D: I will still suggest you to stay.

V: you can say you would miss me if i’ll go. I don’t mind.

D: shut up Veer. Now come inside you are staying and that is final.

V: Ok madam as you say.

Ditya escorted him to her room. She took her cloths and went towards the washroom and quickly changed  into something comfortable.

D: waise kohli you are good at curdling.

V: So are you My gum drop. I had the best sleeps of my life curdling with you.

Soon they both drifted off to sleep.

The days were going really well for them and day after tomorrow is the day he is leaving for IPL. Ditya have her award ceremony in next 10 days.

Its the day when they were suppose to get married if they wouldn’t have postponed the wedding.

Ditya was in her office and Virat was at one of his practices sessions.

M: Kya Ditya yaar!! You guys have postponed the wedding or else you would have been THE MRS. DITYA VIRAT KOHLI today.

Listing to that gave goose bump to Ditya. What ever Mira is saying was correct. Deep within she was also a bit sad over the fact that they have delayed the wedding as she was so madly in love with the her veer that she didn’t wanted to stay  apart from him but she also knew that this is for there own good.

D: Oh come on Mira. Its just matter of days. We are anyways getting married.

M: You know what Ditya you guys are really lucky to have each other in your life.

D: Thanks Mira. But you are now making me miss him and distract me from work.

As she said that the door of her cabin flew open. And here comes non other then Virat.

V: and I never want you to be distracted my gum drop.

D: And what are you doing here Mister. Aren’t you suppose to be at your practice kohli.

V: yes I am Miss Sharma but i had some duties to fulfil for another kohli.

D: Virat you are crazy you know that right?? What are you even saying i am not getting even a bit of it.

V: Mira care to explain.

Mira looked down in shyly. She gathered all her courage and said..

M: Ditya please don’t kill me after hearing this.

D: Cut the crape Mi land to the point.

M: so remember I told you guys that you need to get your marriage registered and i will block the date same as your wedding date and arrange everything else.

D: Yes so??

M: so I forgot to postpone the date for registered marriage and...

D: AND....

Ditya was sure there is something big coming on her way.   

M: since the date is already blocked for today you have to register your marriage today only.

D: WHAT!!! HOW CAN YOU EVEN FORGET SUCH A MAJOR THING MIRA.

Virat knew she was not ready for this even he reacted the same way when he got to know about all this last night. He spoke to both of there families. They made him understood that its just a formality to sign the papers and they get married the way he has planned on the decided dates.

V: Chill Sunshine chill. Its ok. See we just need to sign the papers. We are still having our wedding as you always wanted it to be. And anyways you were going to be Mrs.Kohli someday or the another lets do it today.

Virat said with determination in his voice.

M: Look Ditya I am sorry. We can cancel this if you don’t want to. But everything is arranged and all.

Ditya just kept quite for a while. She just gave the entire situation a thought.

D: Fine. Lets do it. Tell me what to do.

V: Ditya you sure you want to do it right. We will not pressurize you.

D: no virat lets do this and i am sure about it.

M: Ok then. 3 pm. Let me know where you want me to bring the papers and the guy from court.

D & V: Dhoni residence.

They both said in union and smiled at each other.

They both reached Dhoni residence right on time and explained everything to the family. They were happy to know the news. And supported there decision.

Ditya was bit nervous but Virat made sure to never leave her side all this while. Ditya chose to wear a simple yet elegant dress for the occasion and Virat looked hot as always.

V: Ditya you know what?

Virat almost whispered making sure no body notice them.

D: What Veer??

V: Every time I look at you i fell in love with you even more. How do you manage to cast such spell on me?

Ditya couldn’t reply she just blushed.

Soon Mira arrived with the person from court and the papers.

All were gathered. Mira gave the pen to Virat to sign the papers. He handed over it to Ditya.

V: You do it first.

Ditya was touched by his gesture.

She took the pen from him and looked into his eyes. She knew he is the one  she can trust with her life. He is the one who will always be there for her and will never hurt her. The one she will always trust and love with her mind body and soul. She closed her eyes for fiction of seconds. Took a deep breath.

Virat noticed her change in expressions and understood the battle within her. He gently squeezed her hand.

V: Trust me with your life Ditya. You know I love you more then I love myself.

All the thoughts running in her mind came to rest with just one assurance by him.

She signed the paper as if she is signing her life away and handed over the pen to Virat.

He just looked at her once held her hand with his other hand and signed the papers. As soon as he did that he pulled her closer and placed a light kiss on her forehead without thinking about the surrounding. At that moment of time all he knew was she needed that support that assurance from him.

V: Thank you for trusting me and making me the happiest man on the earth. 

D: Thank you for showering me with all the unconditional love in this world. I am blessed to have you in my life.

And with that tears rolled out of her eyes. He quickly wiped them. 

V: Not today Ditya.

Those who were witnessing the moment were awestruck. Tears of happiness rolled out of Singh aunty and Sakshi’s eyes as well. Sakshi and MSD sign for the witness of there marriage.   

The evening went well with the family around. The guys were suppose to leave for the opening ceremony of the IPL tonight itself. All the WAG’S were going along except for Ditya.

Understanding the need of hour and the alone time which the couple needed Aunty suggested.

Aunty: Virat you must need to pack na?

V: Yes aunty I have to leave in few hours.

Aunty: Ditya why don’t you go and help him pack.

D: Yeah sure aunty.

V: Ok bhai bhabhi see you at the airport.

With that they left for Virat’s house. Ditya was unusually quite and that bothered Virat. As they reached home, Ditya was about to enter the house and her eyes fell on the nameplate that reads KOHLI’S. The realization struck her. She is not Sharma anymore. She has a new identity. She belongs to another family now. Virat looked at her for a while and saw her gaze struck to the nameplate.

V: Welcome home now officially Mrs. DITYA VIRAT KOHLI

A sudden sense of relief ran into her mind and heart easing away all the doubts and questions. A broad smile formed on her lips. They entered into the house hand in hand.

D: Virat if you don’t mind can we go to uncle and aunty’s room please.

V: Sure lets go.

She stood in front of there picture folded her hands and bent her head down to seek blessings from them. This act of her touched Virat’s soul.

He then escorted her to his room.Virat has already did majority of his packing he just gave it a final touch while Ditya just sat there looking at him blankly. He knew she needs some time to come to the terms with what has just happened.

He took her in her arms and placed few light kisses on her cheeks and forehead. He decided to lighten up the mood a bit.

V: So what dose my wife wants as a weeding gift?

D: you have already given me more than i could have asked for. But you really want to give something please promise me to be there with me till the end of my life

V: I promise you that Ditya.

They looked into each others eyes and there lips met. They kissed each other as if they wanted to seal the promise with that kiss. The emotions were building up with in both of them. They broke the kiss when they were sure they can’t stay without oxygen anymore.

This time Ditya tried to make a conversation.

D: waise Husband an IPL and the orange cap would also do as a wedding gift.

V: Haye husband sounds so cute coming from you.

He said burring his head in the crook of her neck.

D: shut up ok. Lets go we are getting late for your flight.

V: I wish you would have come with us.

D: You know i can’t. And make sure you are here for my award ceremony.

V: i understand you can’t and as i said earlier i will try my level best to make it to the ceremony.

D: Ok now lets go.

With that they left for the airport. At the airport they hugged each other good bye without bothering the camera’s. Back of there mind they both knew this is going to be tough for them.

A big big day for Viratians. Virat won the first match as a caption of ODI team and scored a magnificent 122. What a lovely inning he played. I am so happy right now. Such a fan girl moment.
