Part - 80

Neil didn't understand what she is saying but everyone understood what she wants to say. .....

They all congratulated Neil for his second baby ..... They all jumped in happiness on hearing the good news .....

Neonika bought sweets for everyone to celebrate happiness...... Neil is on top of the world and swecha jumped in happiness saying her wish of having a brother for rakhi will come true ..... Nandu felt happy for Neil avni but became sad on seeing manik's face bcoz he could have had the same happiness before his birthday last year but it didn't happen which made them remember it .....

They all had dinner celebrating the happiness .... And finally left to their rooms to take rest ....

In Manan room ,

They returned back after the dinner but both of them are lost in the past memories.... Manik is just starring at the ceiling of the room holding nandu in his arms and nandu is just pretending to be asleep ....

It's nearly 5 minutes to 12 AM and nandu's phone vibrated in the pocket of her pajama.... She just opened her eyes to see Manik is just sleeping but reality is  he is awake and just now he closed his eyes ....

Nandu tried to move out of his grip but his hold on her got tightened.... Making her look at him ...

Manik : Why are you awake ?? Where are you trying to go ?? He asked her pulling her more into his embrace... It's like if he would let her go , she would disappear..... He is scared it's clearly written on his face bcoz it's the day she is kidnapped and that's why he came to meet her taking leave from his duty even though there is an important mission , he just couldn't concentrate when she is in Mumbai away from him. That's the truth but he didn't lie to her but said only half truth that he came to her bcoz he is scared to  loose her .....

Nandu : I'm not going anywhere l an just going to washroom... She said and he slowly loosened his grip on her ..... he unwillingly left her ....

Nandu left to the washroom first and then she moved to the closet to bring a gift for manik .....

Nandu just opened the door of the closet to see Manik infront of her , it's like he is just waiting for her . Nandu is surprised to see him walking to and fro ....

Nandu : major , kya hua ?? She asked him and he just looked at her with a small forced smile ... He couldn't worry her unnecessarily.... but his face says everything.....

Manik : nothing come lets sleep , he said holding her hand but nandu just hugged him.... He hugged her back leaving continuous kisses on her forehead.....

Nandu : Happy Birthday Mr Major Malhotra .....she said kissing his heart .... He just moved a little back still being in the hug and just saw her face clearly ... She is having a beautiful smile which made him smile genuinely bcoz she is here in his arms , wishing him first ....

Manik : thank you Mrs. Doctor Malhotra, he said just like how she wished him .....

Nandu : this is for you saying she gave him a small box , he just showed his teeth smiling to the fullest like a kid , bcoz he is excited for gifts more than nandu.....

Manik : kya hae ye , saying he just sat  on the edge of the bed and started opening it .... Nandu is a bit scared seeing his happiness.... he opened the gift with full excitement but his smile vanished on seeing it .... He is just starring the gift .....

Nandu moved to him and sat beside him and held his hand making him look at her ....

Nandu : Major , I got this for you last year . It's a symbol of our baby . That time I wanted to say how much I love you and also  give you this best gift . Even today I know we don't have our baby with us but our  baby will  always be  in our hearts , I wanted you to wear this pendant and remember our baby with a smile , see those foot represent us in the form of a heart . It's a symbol of our love towards our baby . Always remember I love you and also I  live for you . You don't have to be scared major , because I'm not leaving you that easily . I got a second life to live with you . You are not going to get ridden of me that easily . She said making him glare at her. She just held the pendant along with him now and continued " I know you are scared of loosing me , that's why you are here . I don't need others to say what you feel. I asked you in the morning bcoz I thought you would tell me that you are scared of something happening to me like last time  , so you are here . I got to know you better major not completely but much more better than before and I have a life time to know you completely. I wanted you to be the major I met before marriage bcoz for him duty towards his nation comes first than only anything . I'm saying this bcoz in the past one year you have taken much more leaves than anytime from the time you started to work in military . It's not good for your profession. I know you might have promotion and get better position in your duty.  But for me you will always be My Major bcoz I love you as a Major. I accepted my major as my life partner. I don't want you be scared of anything not even fear of loosing me.  Bcoz a bastard has taken an advantage of that weakness and we lost Ranveer , be the ruthless major you are bcoz that's how I love you . I hope you remember I was scared of gaint wheel in exhibition, you told me scary is just a feeling . So don't .... Be my strength , be my major forever . Even our baby will feel bad if her dad is not doing his  duty properly , bcoz she sacrificed her life for the nation. She will be so proud only if you do your duty properly. Please major ....she said with a cute pout ....

Manik just hugged her tight with tears bcoz .... Yes this is what he has been doing in the past one year .... Taking more leaves , staying with nandu . Not able to concentrate on missions. For the first time he even got scoldings for not able to get information regarding some illegal activities.

Manik : oye doctor sunna , I love you .... He said with happy tears bcoz this talk is much needed and what more can be a better gift that this ..... Bcoz his wife wants him to follow his passion by giving it a first preference than her .... Where could he get a better partner than her .... They both stayed like that for sometime..... A knock on the door disturbed them .....

They broke the hug unwillingly and manik just sat on the bed wiping his tears and hiding his pendant safely. ... Bcoz he knew it could be only his family who can disturb them.... He is right as soon as nandu opened the door .... The whole family barged inside with balloons, gifts , cake and many other things ........

They wished him together ..... he cut the cake and they celebrated the start of his birthday and left after having fun to sleep .....

Manan again lay down on the bed in each other's embrace ...  Nandu made him wear the pendant and they fell asleep..... Nandu didn't plan any surprise bcoz it's not easy to forget the past .... She is scared of surprise, so the whole family did everything to see Manan smile happily ....

After three days .....

It's the Death anniversary of Ranveer .... Harika is doing a Puja by keeping Harveer on her lap. It's like she is doing everything.... By holding Harveer hand .... Manik , nandu are standing beside them  .... They didn't let anyone in the family come here bcoz it's mukti's haldi the next day. .... Only Harshad , Arya , cabir came with them....

They completed all the puja rituals .... Leaving Manan to come in another car , rest all left the place ..... Manik drove nandu to their house - Malhotra mansion .... In the garden a small tree is planted in the name of " Veera " .... They both watered the plant and left to the resort after sitting there for sometime.....

After fifteen  days .....

In a Railway station....

Manik is seen standing in his military uniform with a back pack. .... He just hugged neonika who has tears....  Nandu is just standing beside her with a small smile .... Manik broke the hug with neo kissing her forehead.... Nandu gave him a box which has food for him ... He took and hugged her kissing her forehead ...

Manik : Take care both of you, no crying ...saying he side hugged both of them.... They nodded like kids making him smile ....

He then moved to see mukti amar with luggage , as they are going for honeymoon bcoz the wedding is done three days back and they planned to visit many places in India .... He bid bye to both of them as their train is after his .... He bid bye to all his family members , promised swecha he would come early.... Harveer just clung to him not letting him go , he started crying when he saw manik is taking his bags bcoz the train just arrived..... Harika forcefully took him back, seeing him even swecha started crying  .... Not only Harveer, swecha ....
even nandu , neo ,  are having tears which they controlled until manik got into the train , the tears just dropped  out as soon as the train started moving .... Just like how life moves on .... Manik just signalled them to smile from the moving train .... Nandu stayed back in Mumbai bcoz she didn't want manik to be worried for her , she took her position in RV group of hospitals.....

Mr Major and Mrs Doctor Malhotra, are back to their works .... That is saving lives .... One by taking care of patients and helping them   . The other by protecting our borders by  risking their own  lives but never let any harm on their biggest family their country ...

The life of a soldier just keeps on moving with many risks and adventures .... They stay away  from family , friends and every enjoyment, they even sacrifice lives for the nation . Though manik lost many things he didn't stop his duty towards his nation - there are many officers like him who work even after facing many difficulties....salute to such officers. But a bigger salute to wives like nandu , mother's neonika - Geetha (Harshad's mom ) who let their children got to military even after knowing the risk of life . Bcoz none can love you like a mother and wife or a life partner bcoz we even have lady soldiers on the border ....  A great salute to our life savers .... This story is about those people who still see a positive side of sacrifice unlike few who get to negative side ... This is dedicated to all the soldiers and doctors....
