The next day . Shivaay was desperately waiting for her period which finally happened after the lunch break .

But to his atmost disappointment,  she hardly even looked at him . She just kept reciting the notes for the students wrote throughout the period.  Shivaay was trying his best ways by stopping her and asking to repeat a few lines to grab her attention. But he failed in that too , she behaved as though he never existed  . She just repeated the lines without sparing him a glance even .

He had certainly been awake throughout last night as he was disturbed after seeing that man with her , and now her clear ignorance made him insane . Did she mistake him with the crush letter he gave ? He decided to talk to her about it,  but since he had continuous classes after that , he  didn't find a chance .

Evening ,

Annika was talking with a group of girls in the sports room when suddenly she saw a some boys rushing inside  with an injured shivaay along .

S- I'm not going to leave him Rehmat !

Shivaay shouted in anger when Rehmat helped him sit on the bench.

R- shivaay , you're bleeding. We have to treat this first , we'll see to that cheater afterwards. Where's the incharge!!

Rehmat called out on not finding the incharge , while Annika walked to them in no time . The other boys moved to make way for her . She frowned watching his bleeding skin near his brows . Shivaay kept wincing and crushing his eyes tightly until when he felt some soft hand which touched his forehead  .

He was soon surprised on finding her there .

A- kaise huwa ?

She questioned watching his face in serious while he started smiling without even realizing . Rehmat rolled his eyes after noticing shivaay's stupid reaction .

R- vo mam , we were practising soccer . And shivaay got into a conflict when the opposite team cheated us for a goal . That's how

Annika interrupted him immediately.

A- you guys are so like kids  , swetha bring the first aid kit .

Since the incharge wasn't present there , annika herself did his first aid while shivaay already forgot that he was certainly injured . As she sat infront  on him and continued cleaning the blood above his eyes , he blinked slowly and kept admiring her from close .

Rehmat smiled sheepishly seeing his friend being lost in his happy world .

S- sss

He suddenly hissed for she stopped pressing the cotton and looked at him once before resuming her work .

A- anger is a very powerful weapon , use it wisely . Don't show it on people rather practise it on the game . Being a little aggressive in game is no harm , go play . You're alright !

She pressed the bandage on the spot and stood up after stating this while shivaay was watching her in wonder all this time.

If not Rehmat had patted his shoulders,  shivaay would have still been lost in his own world .

R- come , your crush movie can wait . We have a sports movie to complete.

Shivaay sighed hearing his comment . But before leaving,  he excused him for a second and went inside in search of her .

She was replacing the kit on the shelf when he came inside that room . 

A- you're still here ?

S- why are you here ? I mean in , sports room ?

She jumped down the table on which she was standing to land just infront of him . Merely any distance remained between the two . Shivaay watched her without blinking when she herself pushed her body on the table to move it and walked behind to create a distance between them .

A- actually the basket ball coach is absent  .

S- so ?

A- so the principal asked me to help the girls today.

S-  but how ?

Annika smiled leaving a sigh on watching his puzzled face.

A- I'm a champion .

Shivaay was totally surprised.

S - really?

She gave a nod .

S- I wish I were in your batch , I would have got the chance to see you playing .

Annika grasped that the topic was turning.

A- enough  , go now .

Shivaay frowned at her strict face.

S- ok ok  , I will . But before that ,you have to promise me one thing.

Annika was confused.

A- what ?

S- wait for me at the parking area after freeze bell . Please !!

He squeezed his eyes and pleaded which forced her to agree.

Annika started the engine and reversed behind when ,

S- danger !!

She looked back to find him standing just behind the bike , she would have certainly hit on him if he hadn't shouted at the right time .

A- shivaay,  have you really got eyes or not ? You always end up in mess , especially with me .

After complaining,  she pushed the bike infront by stressing her feet on the ground. Like , she almost push walked the bike .

S- objects in mirror are closer than they appear , you should have watched out on this mirror before taking reverse .

He argued.

A- there was no need , am I driving in some main road ...junction? You admit that you have problem in your eyes !

She blamed him and started the bike again when he ran to appear infront .

S- wait wait wait! You promised that you'll wait for me.

He spoke with his arms spread out to block her way .

A- ok , I'm waiting.  What is it ?

She questioned and folded her arms below her chest while he looked nervous .

S- I , you... I mean . Will you go on a date with me ?

He rushed his words for annika took a few seconds to even understand what he was said.  But soon, her furrowed brows got released when she caught his statement correctly.  She frowned .

A- shivaay I read your letter . You want to know this right ? I read it !

S- no , we won the other match today and I think it's because of you , your words...!So I thought of giving you a treat but maybe I used the wrong word .

He made a cute face and annika even believed him without knowing that he had actually cooked up everything only at this moment. Indeed , he was curious to know about the letter and this date thing was also from his wishlist though.

A- it's ok . I have work , got to get some groceries.

S- perfect!

A- what ?

S- then, let me give you a treat in the supermarket only !

A- shivaay this is going somewhere else , I can't.

S- please . Please , please !

Annika was shaking her head continuously but he just didn't stop muttering the word .

A- just hop in already.

S- yay!!!

He happily sat behind her .

Shivaay's face had a constant smile on it when the gushing wind paved way for her hair to wave on his face softly. He could certainly inhale her fragrance . Annika watched this through the mirror and didn't think once before  pulling her pony infront . Shivaay put on a grumpy face.

She smiled noticing both his hands clutching the back handle tightly,  even at times when she applied breaks and took U turns he played a good kid and stayed rooted to his place without leaning on her back .

S- I actually

A- shivaay before you say anything , I'm 26 . Four years elder than you . I can understand,  in your age these all are natural but it's good that you apply a red signal for everything right here .

Stating this clearly she collected some vegetables and threw them on the basket which he was holding.

She was soon puzzled on watching his grin .

S- 26 ! Believe me, when I saw you for the first time I thought you were a junior . You don't really look elder you know ?!

Annika shook her head and grabbed the basket from him.

A- you can't hit on me with these easy words , I'm not the one who would fall  for such tricks.

S- I know , you're different! That's why I like you very much .

A- shivaay how many times to tell you ? I'm your lecturer and I'm elder than you  !

Declaring her words she was about to walk past him when ,

S- age can't be a barrier , you told me this right? And I only gave a friendship proposal for you , there's no need to react so much .

She stopped and turned back to witness his smirk. She was about to say something when her mobile rang .

Shivaay had a terrified face when he saw the caller's image. It was the same long haired man whom he saw with her yesterday.

A- yes Om , I'll be there in half an hour . Hmm...bye !

She slipped the mobile inside her purse and looked up to find his tensed face .

S- please don't tell me that you're married !

Annika bit her lip to control her laugh , she knew his fears.

A- then whom do you think I was speaking with ?

Nightmare ! Nightmare ...! Shivaay felt his vision going blur .

A- shivaay cool!! I was kidding. He's my brother  , Om . I'm single.

Only after hearing these words he remembered to take a breathe first .

Annika started laughing at his horrified face .

His reactions changed at once when he watched her enchanting smile.

' Oh God ! Please stop annika . I can't hold myslef,  I'm falling.  Falling ! '

S- you look so beautiful annika .

She stopping laughing when he told this in a trance. She tucked her hair strands behind her ear quickly and straightened herself.

A- see , you wanted friendship from me but why did you expect me to be single still ? It's starts like this only , I agree with you shivaay , as you had mentioned in the letter,  it's just an infatuation . So just let it be like that only,  don't try to build anything with the name of friendship.

S- no , I genuinely wanted you as my friend.

Annika saw the innocence in his eyes which resisted her to be harsh and rude on him . She sighed deeply.

A- fine , where's my treat then ?

Shivaay grinned immediately and ran somewhere watching which she smiled confusedly.

He came back with something in his hands which he kept hidden behind.

S- I couldn't find anything else in this grocery shop , so I hope you like it .

Annika nodded happily when he gave her an ice cream cone .

Savouring the cream , both walked to the bike after paying the bill .

S- so

A- so....?

S- friends ?

A- don't know .

She shrugged her shoulders and sat on the bike when he frowned.

S- cheating !

He whined .

A- shivaay I really am impressed with your guts , yes ! You gave me a letter,  you admitted that you like me ...I'm impressed with your courage but

S- but what ?! If being my lecturer is your problem then don't worry , I won't trouble you to favour me and leak the question paper before the exam .

Annika chuckled quickly hearing this .

A- enough of your drama , come let me drop you.

She ordered him showing a strict reaction and he sat behind her with a disappointed face .

I like her because she smiles at me and means it 🌙
