Worried, that's what you are as you sit in the neatly decorated cafe adjacent to Taehyung whose body remains slumped on the seat. "He is coming right?" Your stepbrother questions anxiously as you nod.

The plain truth is that even you don't know if he'll turn up, you're just desperately hoping he does and that you don't disappoint Taehyung.

"It's not even five yet Tae" you reply "y/n there's something-", before Taehyung can finish his sentence off however, the doors of the cafe swing open as the two of you glance in anticipation.

The blond haired male solemnly saunters towards your table as you feel Taehyung stiffen besides you "I'm here" he speaks first as you remain frozen, stuck in a daze. "Yeah you are" you breathe.

The awkward atmosphere fails to leave the area of your table that it's clouded and made a home around as all of you remain silent observing each other as you do so "well we'll have to talk at some point so why don't we start with why I'm here" Jimin abruptly cuts the silence.

You're caught by surprise but reply eagerly nonetheless "there's something you need to know" you say.

"So lets get this straight" Jimin clears his throat "Mrs Kim harmed herself to blame it on you" he repeats unsurely, you can see he's trying to believe you but it's spinning his head around. "Why would she do that?" He questions.

"Me" Taehyung speaks, the boy had been silent throughout your conversation with Jimin and him finally speaking causes Jimin to turn towards him "you" he repeats.

"It's not everyday your husband announces he's gay, she's someone who's lost everything and would do anything to get it back, she may look like she has good intentions but it's far from it."

Jimin's facial expressions soften almost as if he's finally understanding everything, "what does that have to do with you?" He questions "I'm the only thing she does have left "Taehyung continues "and she knew how attached I was to y/n to let her go which is why she hurt her instead."

You look at him almost with a pained expression "you're wrong" you protest, "I always knew, that's why she chose me, I kind of did provoke her" you reply.

The two of you turn to Jimin who looks like he's mapping out solutions "if I listened none of this would've even happened" he says as Taehyung shakes his head "I could've said something too", Jimin stares at him quizzically and for the first time in years the two have agreed on something.

"This isn't about me, or you, or you" you remark angrily "if we keep passing on blame we'll never find a solution, this is about our fathers more than any of us." the other two nod.

"Right now we'll stick to pretending we don't know" Jimin proposes as you ponder over his words "what?" Taehyungs snaps whilst portraying your thoughts.

"Well the two of you have exams over the next weeks so you should focus on those first, and I have some things to go over as well, I'll investigate into this further so please just focus on studying for now" he explains, both Taehyung and you take a thoughtful, elongated minute before you nod your heads.

The three of your thoughts align when you agree that you'd work out something together. Taehyung's face enlightens with a boxed smile, one he hasn't given in Jimin's or anyone else's presence for a long while.

And for some odd reason Jimin doesn't melt at the sight, like everyone else. He doesn't react to the younger's rare, happy expression instead nods sombrely whilst pulling on his coat.

"study hard."

A/N- Hey guys hope you're doing well, it's been ages since I've posted a note so here I am.

I wanted to let you know that the next chapter may be a little weird but I've planned the story out so that it isn't as weird as you might think.
