Noah's POV

"What do you mean we can't press charges on Yolanda and Nathaniel?"

I screamed at the policeman. Ruby and I came here early in the morning to file a report and now they're telling us we can't press charges. I was looking at this cop like he was stupid.

"There isn't any evidence that shows that they actually kidnapped her. There's no video evidence, DNA evidence, or physical evidence that pleads your case"

They were very smart about executing their plan. There weren't any fingerprints on my office or at Ruby's apartment.

Since one of them knocked out the security guards that were placed in the media room there is no camera footage, they deleted them.

The fact that they passed through the backside of the building the neighboring businesses didn't catch Aaron kidnapping her. Those useless ass people had their camera turned off too.

Just for that I'm buying all their businesses and leaving them with no job.

I took Ruby's hand and walked out of the police station. I knew we should've just killed them then buried their bodies. The fact that we went to the police instead of doing that will now point fingers at us if they pop up dead.

"At this point just let it go. You already fired them and that's enough for me. We can't press charges or kill them so it's whatever"

Ruby said as she sat in the passenger's seat. She looks so defeated right now. She hasn't been able to sleep these past few days. The thought of her getting kidnapped again kept haunting her.

Ruby has been sleeping at my place for those past few days. I don't really mind but, she's traumatized. I always wake up to her shaking or crying in her sleep.

When those two bastards showed up to pick up the things that were in their office I beat them up. Ruby doesn't know and I made sure she didn't. I knew at exactly what time they were coming so I prepared myself.

My grandma and I waited for them to get out of the elevator before we jumped them. My grandma beat Yolanda's ass. She never did like her, she just tolerated Yolanda.

When I told her what Yolanda did to Ruby my grandma almost went to go stab her. While she was heading out the door with the knife in her hand I pulled her back in. She loves Ruby.

Since they hacked into the security system when they were kidnapping Ruby I decided not to fix it just yet. After we beat their ass we dragged them outside and threw them out.

Now they can't go to the police either, they have no proof.

"How can I make you feel better? I'll do absolutely anything"

I said as I picked up her hand and kissed it. She took my hand and held it on her lap. I saw her in deep thought as she thought of ways to spend my money.

"I just want to order so food and chill with you. That will make me the happiest girl in the world"

"That can be done baby"

This is one of the reasons why I love Ruby. Her happiness doesn't cost half a million dollars. I remember when I bought her a Fanta on my way to work. Me just buying her a pineapples Fanta made her the happiest I've ever seen her.

The girls I used to get with in the past were unbelievable. They would pretend like they're mad at me, wait for me to ask them what's wrong, then they told me how can I make them happy. Then they would ask for a car.

They never told me they wanted a real car so I bought them a toy car from goodwill that only cost me three dollars.

"You know I had a dream about you last time". Ruby said out of nowhere.

"Ohhh, what position were we in?"

"Why when I tell someone I had a dream about them they always think it's sexual? Like no, I went to McDonald's and you were the cashier"

She started laughing her ass off after that. Why the hell would I be the cashier? If I worked at McDonald's I would be the person who tells everyone the ice cream machine is broken, even though it's not.

I feel like the machine doesn't really be out of order though. They're just too lazy to keep going back and forth from the machine to their work station.

When we arrived home Ruby ran to my couch and jumped on it. She loves the couch that I have at my apartment. She prefers to sleep in it then my bed sometimes.

While Ruby got herself comfortable I called my grandma's restaurant and put in an order for us. Why would I pay for food when I can make a call and get food for free?

While we were in the middle of watching 'You' my phone started ringing. I rolled my eyes as I saw that my parents were calling. What the hell do they want now?

"Speak"

"Is that the way you to talk to your mother? I gave birth to you"

"Speak mother"

"Anyways, we're coming over to your house for a visit in about two days. Get your guess rooms ready for us and make sure that your house is clean"

With that being said she hung up. I sighed and pulled Ruby closer to me. She saw my shift in emotion since she kept up staring at me. I looked down at her and kissed her forehead.

"What happened Noah?"

"My ain't shit parents are coming to visit in two days"

I could feel Ruby stiffen next to me. She started looking nervous the more she thought about my parents coming to visit.

"You don't have to meet them if you don't want to baby. You can always stay at your house and I'll come over there every day to keep you company. I can even call them back and tell them not to come"

"It's ok, I want to meet them. I have to one day anyways. This is a long term relationship"

I smiled at her. Man, I love this girl. The reassurance she gives me every day makes me love her even more. I'm the type of person that thinks someone hates me just because they blink too hard at me.

A few minutes later my doorbell rang. Before I could even get up Ruby was already at the door, taking the food from the delivery guy. She did a little happy dance as she walked to me with both bags in her hand.

"Let's dig in before my stomach explode". She dramatically said as she opened both takeout plates.

For her, I ordered a huge steak with fried shrimp and a baked potato with shrimp inside of it. It came with a side of asparagus and some creamy sauce.

I got myself lobster bits with macaroni and cheese and some greens.

I didn't order much since I know I'm going to gain twenty pounds. Ruby can eat a truckload of food and only gain half a pound.

While we were eating I heard my door open. My grandma walked in with a smile on her face. Her left hand was wrapped with a huge white bandage while her eyebrow had a small slit in it.

"Hi babies"

"What happened to your hand granny? Are you okay?" Ruby said as she ran to her. She examined my grandma with worry written all over her face.

I signaled her to keep quiet. I'm not planning on telling Ruby that I bought my grandma to a fight in the office.

"Yes I'm fine, it's just a cooking accident"

Yeah, she cooked Yolanda's ass.

I'm sorry if this chapter wasn't as interesting as the other ones, I just wrote this one hour ago. I promise you guys that things are going to start taking off even more really really soon.
