Noah's POV

I smiled at Ruby as she picked out carts of clothes. I had my bodyguard hold all twenty of her bags while she shopped her heart out.

We've been shopping for a couple of hour now. I could tell she forgot all about Aaron. The way her eyes sparkled when she lifted up the new Yves Saint Laurent bag said it all.

"Noah, does this look cute?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at her. She held up a pair of short booty jeans. My eyes ran down her body as she held it against her.

"Umm yeah, it looks cute"

She nodded her head and placed it in the cart. She better not wear that to work when we have casual Fridays. The only reason why I don't like her wearing tight clothes is that it gets me too excited.

I don't even get excited In a sexual way either. I just get really happy because then I find myself rating her outfits in my head. She seems to improve her wardrobe every day.

The last time she walked by me in some Fashion Nova ripped jeans I lost it. I almost stapled my thumb to a piece of paper.

"I'll be right back, I'm going to try on these clothes"

I sat down on one of the waiting chairs and waited for her to be done. I looked down at my phone, expecting this to take a while. What I didn't expect was for her to walk out of the dressing room wearing nothing but a bra and underwear.

"Ruby? Are you trying to kill me?"

She looked at me like she wasn't doing anything wrong. She was literally wearing a thong underwear with a bra that pushed up her boobs. She started playing around with her boobs to show that the bra has great support.

"So, what do you think?"

"I think you're sexy as hell but, I suggest  you go back in the changing room before I blow your back out"

Her eyes widened as she looked at me. She ran back in the changing room and continued trying on her clothes. That's exactly how the rest of the shopping spree went. She kept on showing me sexy clothes and I tried not to make dirty comments.

On our way back to her apartment I dropped her off at the nail store while I ran back to the office. There seemed to be a problem while I was gone.

I jumped out of the car and made my way up to my office. The way the receptionist called me with such urgency I knew there was a real problem. When I got to my floor everyone froze.

"Where's the problem?"

"We have a huge emergency. Instead of getting Krispy Kreme donuts Adam got Dunkin Donuts"

"You called me over here over some donuts?"

I watched Paul explain the problem to me with passion. I was going to fire but, I couldn't. He genuinely looks hurt by Adam's choice of donuts.

"I'll have Adam go back out to get some more donuts"

"Thank you, sir"

He said calmly but, I could tell his soul was satisfied. He ran over to Adam and told him what I said. Adam sighed and got out of his chair with an annoyed look on his face.

"And next time you bring us these water ass donuts I'm beating your ass bitch"

Paul said with determination. On his way out Adam slapped them back of his head and ran. Since I didn't want to be here for that fight I took my ass to my car and left. My security guard was already in the driver's seat waiting for me.

While Ruby was doing her nails I decided to go take a nap. I put down a row of seats in my Cadillac and pulled out a blanket from under the seats.

People think I have big cars because it shows I have money but, that's not true. It's because I need space in my car for when I go to sleep in it.

Hours into my nap I was shaken out of my sleep. It better be someone important or I'm losing my shit.

"Sir, the boss lady called you. She's done with her nails"

I nodded my head and went back to sleep. When the car pulled up to the nail store I fixed myself then went in. The first thing I saw was Ruby standing at the door with a smile on her face.

Before I could even see her nails her bright orange hair through me by surprise. The front looked a light orange but the rest of the hair was orange orange. Like Donald Trump orange.

"Do you like it?"

She asked shyly. I could see the vulnerability on her face. It's like she didn't believe she was beauty. It hurt me seeing her like this.

"You look absolutely beautiful. If anyone tells you otherwise give me their full name. I'll take care of them"

She laughed as if I was joking. I just laughed along with her so she won't think that I'm crazy. She was about to pay for her hair but I already paid for her.

"I have money for my hair Noah. You've spent enough money on me today"

I ignored what she said and proceed to pay for her hair and nails. She stood behind me like a lost puppy as I paid for her. I never knew that buying hair and installing it costs more than one hundred dollars.

I remember a lady at the office said that her install was for fifty dollars. I thought that was a good price until she turned around. Her forehead had glue all over it. One of her tracks started at the back of her head and ended on her eyebrows.

Once I was done I grabbed her hand and walked out with her. I could tell she has her confidence back. The way she was walking with her head high and shoulder up gave it away. She was back to her normal self.

"You like my dick grabbers?"

She said she held out her hand to me. Her nails were all white with two nails that had some colorful tie-dye looking thing on it.

"What did you just call your nails?"

"Dick grabbers. Holding a man's dick feels better if I have my nails done. I be feeling like a crane picking up dick and stuff"

"You've done that before?"

She threw me a smile before she turned away from me. I just kept on staring at her the whole ride to her apartment. It be the shy girls that are freaks nowadays.

When we pulled up to her apartment my bodyguard immediately got out of the car and took Ruby's bags upstairs. I grabbed a few bags and helped him out. Ruby was too busy taking videos of her nails to even notice that we've arrived.

She walked into her apartment with a huge smile on her face. It looks like the world was finally lifted off her shoulders.

"Thank you for today Noah. I feel way much better than I did yesterday"

"No problem beautiful. Goodnight"

"Goodnight Noah"

I walked out of her apartment with a smile on my face. It feels good spending my money on someone other than my grandma and I. It's like I have all this money but, I have no one to share it with.

I hope she's refreshed for tomorrow. It's going to be her first time seeing Aaron after she caught him cheating on her.

If I were her I would have killed him with my bare hands and that's on me.

Ruby's POV

I put on the last earring as I stared at myself in the mirror. I look absolutely stunning just like every other day. Today is no different but, my hair gave my look a little bit of a leg up.

I was wearing an off the shoulder white shirt with a blue navy and orange dress pants. I added the off white orange belt with an orange and black pair of shoes and REAL diamond earrings.

You glow different when the problems in your life are eliminated.

I feel like an even stronger woman today. To me, a strong woman is one who is able to smile this morning like she wasn't crying last night. I feel much stronger right now than I did all my life.

I was going to call an Uber but, I heard a knock at my door. Noah stood at my door with a wide smile on his face. He pulled me into a tight hug the moment I took one step out of the door.

"Good morning beautiful"

"Good morning Noah"

On our way to work, I couldn't help but worry about seeing being at work. I already feel miserable going to work but, now I have to see that cheating ass nigga.

I didn't even notice my legs were shaking until I felt a hand on my lap. It didn't feel like it was a sexual jester at all. It felt calming. Like he was trying to comfort me.

When we arrived at the office Noah threw me a smile before he got out of the car. He went over to my side to open the door for me. I let out a deep breath and took his outstretched hand.

"You got this beautiful, don't stress about it"

I nodded my head and took a couple more deep breaths. I looked up at Noah only for me to see him smiling down at me. I got on my tippy-toe and kissed his cheek.

"What was that for?" He asked with a big smile on his face. He touched his cheek that was slightly red from me kissing him.

"For helping me be forget about Aaron yesterday. I didn't think it was possible so, thank you"

With that being said I walked inside the office. I greeted Yolanda that sat at the front desk with a wide smile. When I got to my floor the first person I saw was Aaron.

"Hi baby, you look absolutely gorgeous today" he said trying to kiss my cheek. I stepped back and let him kiss the air.

"I'm you're baby? I'm sorry but, last time I checked I was single. Are you sure your traveling assistant isn't your baby though?"

"What are you talking about? It's strictly business with her"

"Cut the crap Aaron, I walked in on you guys having sex a few days ago. Don't make me look like an idiot when you know damn well you were balls deep in her"

"I'm telling you it's just business between her and I. Are you going to believe your eyes or me?"

At this point I was frustrated. All of the built-up anger I had against him is starting to come out. This nigga really just asked me do I trust my eyes or him.

"I'm sorry baby, it was an accident. She seduced me"

"Cheating is not an accident. Falling off a bike is an accident. You didn't just trip and fall into her pussy Aaron"

"No, I'm for real, she seduced me. Beat her up or something. She made me cheat on you"

"Why would I fight her because you don't know how to keep your dick in your pants? At the end of the day, I was dating you, not her. She's single, she can do whatever the fuck she wants. She didn't have to be loyal to me, you did"

"If you think about it men never cheat. They just practice with other girls on how to be a better boyfriend. You know that black men don't intentionally cheat"

I wanted to slap the fuck out of this nigga right now. How is he just standing here lying to my face? He had this stupid look on his face that just made me want to run him over with a bus.

"You can do that 'black men don't cheat' shit with some other girl. I'm done with you. I'm big single from now on"

"Why are you not fighting for me to stay? Did you even love me?"

"Don't try to flip this shit on me now. I'm quick to let a nigga go. I'm not holding any hoe hostage. I'm not the baddest bitch in the world but your assistant wasn't on my level"

"If you knew I cheated on you why didn't you go crazy. Why didn't you bust the windows out my car or something?"

"The world is too obsessed over the whole crazy girlfriend thing. I'm a grown-ass woman. I will not break anything of yours or do something stupid just so you can feel like I got my revenge. I'm a queen and queens don't entertain the fools. The fools entertain her"

"I'm sorry Ruby. I'll never cheat on you again. Please take me back"

I watched him get on his knees, begging me to take him back. I had a smile on my face the whole time. He didn't regret cheating on me at all. He regrets that I caught him.

"I'm good love, go disappoint someone else"

With that being said I walked away with my head held high. I heard his footsteps behind me but, I didn't care. I got into my office and slammed the door shut in his face.

For the rest of the day, I did my job and kept to myself. I finished everything twice as fast as I would if I had a distraction next to me.

The moral of the story is never stress over a bitch or a nigga or a bitch nigga or a bitch that looks like a nigga.
