Chapter 31: Let's put the end in Friends
Damian's POV
Bentley has... feelings for me? It was hard to believe. He couldn't stand homosexuals, and now he's saying I stole his heart? How is that possible if he's straight?
Although my mind had a thousand questions to ask him, it's a relief he feels the same way. All this time, I thought it was one-sided, and he only tolerated me because he was living with me.
"I–I'm sorry, forget I said anything," he stuttered, averting his gaze. "Have a safe flight," he said, standing up.
"I feel the same way. I thought you hated me, so I kept it to myself, "I confessed.
"Really?" Bentley turned to me, surprise flashing in his brown eyes. "Hate you? I could never, no matter how much I try," he said, giving me a warm smile. "l guess that's settled."
I closed the gap between us, our gaze locking. "Can I.. kiss you?" I whispered. He turned away, hiding his flushed face.
"We like each other, so I guess it's fine to... do things to me," he mumbled, his face blushing deep red.
My heart fluttered with joy. I'd been holding back all this time, thinking he dreaded being near me. I never imagined a day would come when he'd give me his consent to let my desires become reality.
I grabbed his waist, pressing a kiss to his lips. He tugged on my shirt, pulling me closer. I reached for his smooth face, gently cupping it in my hands. He gasped, darting behind as we fell onto the couch.
Turning his chin to face me, I smirked, whispering in his ears. "Don't take your eyes off me, I might get jealous."
His heart throbbed in synchronization with mine as I kissed him deeply, savoring every moment: his hot breath on my skin, the way our tongues intertwined, the warmth of his mouth, and how his arms snaked around my neck like he never wanted it to end.
I slipped my hand under his shirt, exploring every inch of his skin. His body shivered at my touch. He whimpered, gripping my shoulder, holding back a moan as I kissed his neck. I glanced at his enticing face. "Please, don't hold back something so beautiful. I want to hear it," I said.
He froze, gazing into my eyes before gradually moving his hand away from his mouth, his cheeks heating.
"That's better," I smiled, kissing his nose. I pushed his shirt up with my fingers, never breaking eye contact as I flicked my tongue across his nipple, teasing it. Bentley's eyes widened, and he moaned, throwing his head back, writhing in pleasure.
Just as I was about to undress him, my phone vibrated. We paused, looking toward it.
I let out a disappointed sigh, apologizing to Bentley. "Sorry, excuse me," l said, picking it up. "Hey."
"You're at the airport, right? I'm coming to pick you up. Wait for me," Mark said.
"Hmm... about that, I missed my flight."
"What! I booked the first class! What's wrong with you?" he sighed. "I'm booking another–"
"No! I mean... I'm not coming," I paused, glancing at Bentley. "I'm with someone I'm in love with."
Mark gasped. "In love? I'm totally jealous! So, who's the lucky guy?" he giggled.
"I'll fill you in later, gotta go. Bye," I said, hanging up and turning to Bentley. "Sorry about that."
"It's fine," he said shyly, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. There was a short silence before he stood up. "I'll make lunch."

Bentley's POV
I'd been staring at a page for over twenty minutes, replaying our kiss on the couch in my head and blushing like an idiot. Sinking into the fluffiness of the bed, I reminisced about the feeling of his electrifying touch.
I kissed him... I kissed Damian. If Mark hadn't called, what would've happened? If I keep living here longer than I should, I might do something I'll regret.
A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. "Yeah? Come in,"' I called. My eyes widened. "Oh, Damian... do you need something?" I stuttered.
"Hmm... not quite," he answered, walking toward me. "It's kinda lonely in my room. Can I stay here?" he asked, staring at me.
"Y-Yeah," I said in a low tone, breaking eye contact.
"What are you reading?" he asked, lying down on my lap. My heart skipped a beat, my pulse quickening.
"I just started. It's a fantasy book. Should I read it to you?" I asked, flipping back to the beginning.
"Yes," he smiled, wrapping his arms around my waist and adjusting to get comfortable.
I smiled too. The thought of him clinging to me like this had been just a fantasy until today.
He drifted off to sleep by chapter five, so I closed the book, tucking it under a pillow. Fondling his silky black hair, I gazed at his alluring features. "Damian, my Damian," I thought, smiling to myself.

"And that's the summary of the last two weeks," I explained to Mia.
She gasped, dropping her cup of coffee on the table. "OMG! Are you for real? You guys liked each other all along, and now you're together? Aww, I'm so happy for you," she squealed, attracting the attention of other customers. "Sorry," she whispered, forcing a smile.
I exhaled, hiding my face in second-hand embarrassment.
Mia turned to me. "Tell me about the kiss again," she grinned.
I squinted knowingly. "This is the third time. What else do you want to hear? I told you we were interrupted by a call. Nothing happened."
"Ugh! I hate stupid Mark, even though I haven't met him yet." She rolled her eyes.
"Tell me about it," I said, inhaling deeply.
"He'll leave Damian alone now that he has a boyfriend, right?" she asked, staring at me.
My brows furrowed at the thought of them doing what they usually do. "I don't know, but if he gets too close to my Damian, he won't recognize his face for months," I frowned, clenching my fist.
Author's note:
To err is human, to forgive is divine. I'm sorry for skipping some days, I was so frickin' tired.
