Chapter 3: Not as bad as I thought

Bentley's POV
"This can't be happening; I lost everything, including my virginity, in a day. It can't be! No, no, no!" I said internally and slowly touched my asshole, searching for any sign of violation. I released the air trapped in my lungs. "It's... normal, thank goodness!"

The black-haired man slowly opened his gray eyes, which I found rather fierce. As he raised his head and ran a hand through his silky hair, I shifted further away.

"Good morning." His low, deep voice made me shiver, like thousands of ants crawling beneath my skin. I didn't know if I felt that way because I was frightened or surprised. I sneered in disgust. "What was that?"

I said inwardly, "Acting like a hot alpha male this early in the morning—is he trying to seduce me?"

"What was what?" The ash duvet rolled down as the man sat upright; my eyes unintentionally peeked at his ripped torso. My face flushed. "What's the meaning of all this? Why did you bring me here?" l judged internally. "Shameless move!"

"Sorry, but I'm not into guys; I'm straight, as straight as a ruler" I informed him. The man chuckled. "Yeah.. you took some very straight actions yesterday." He emphasized, 'very straight,' and I wondered what he meant by that.

He smirked. "I found you in a gay club; you were so clingy, and you begged me to sleep with you." My face reddened in embarrassment. "That's... not true. You're lying!" "You probably don't remember it because you were drunk. You are free to return home" he said, standing up and walking toward the door.

The man paused, then glanced at me from the corner of his eye. "You're not my type anyway," he said, turning and leaving the room. I exhaled the air I had been holding back. "That was scary."

My eyes narrowed at the king-sized bed adorned with ash and white sheets; the golden LED lights radiating from the black headboard drew my attention. I hurried out of bed but froze as my feet grazed the soft rug. I melted into its satisfying grass-like texture, savoring every step. My eyes widened. "What am I doing? I need to catch up," I said inwardly.

I ran through the door, chasing after the man about to take a turn.

"Hey! Mister! Please wait." The man halted and looked over his shoulder with a cold stare. I stopped in my tracks, panting to catch my breath. I raised my head but quickly diverted my gaze. "Hmm... I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. It's just that... yesterday was the worst day of my life; I lost everything, and now I don't have a place to stay, and..." I stuttered.

"Get to the point," he said in a firm voice.

I flinched, then swallowed hard. "I was wondering if you could let me stay here until I find a job to sustain myself. I can help you with housekeeping, laundry, and cooking. Please help me."

He gave me a prolonged, pitiful stare. My stomach knotted like shoelaces, and my nerves tensed as I regretted my decision to open up.

"You may reside in my humble abode if you wish, and you don't have to contribute to the upkeep of this house; I have people to do that already," he said. My eyes widened. "Really? Thank you! Thank you so much. I'm—"

He held his hand up, and I stopped. "I'll assist in your search for a job so you can leave as quickly as possible," he added as he walked toward the stairs. I beamed. "Thank you, sir. What can I call you?"

"Damian Giovanni. Everyone calls me Mr. Giovanni or Mr. Billionaire; feel free to call me the latter" he smirked.

"Oh, okay, Mr. Billionaire. Where are you going?"

He dipped his hands into the pockets of his black pajama pants and descended the smooth wooden stairs, the edges illuminated by golden lights. I marveled at the glass baluster; it was the first time I'd ever seen something like it. I gently touched the handrail, wondering if the wood was as smooth as the stairs themselves. I gasped as my hand glided downwards with ease.

We reached the ground floor. "Your house seems so unreal; it's beautiful," I said, breaking the silence.

Giovanni smirked. "This is just the tip of the iceberg," he said, turning his head toward the living room.

The illuminated ceiling—a doppelganger of a galaxy full of golden stars—the wide flat-screen television depicting images so realistic, and below it, an elevated platform where artistic pieces were displayed. The small glass table in the middle of the room was surrounded strategically by three cream-colored sofas.

My mouth fell open, and my body froze on the spot. "Is this a family house?" I stammered.

"No, I live alone," Giovanni answered, walking in another direction. "The kitchen is this way."

I blinked twice and trailed behind. "How can a single person live in a three-story building? Doesn't he ever get lost or bored?" I screamed internally.

The kitchen was an extension of the living room; bright LED lights were positioned in the corners of the ceiling, with fewer galaxy-like lights. A black marble countertop stood in the middle of the kitchen. By the edge of the lower cabinets—

Giovanni opened the fully stocked refrigerator. "There's food if you're hungry; everything you need is in the cabinets," he said, closing it and moving toward an elevator door.

"I'm late for work already; if you need help with anything, ask my Al."

"Wait! Where is it? I don't know how to—"

He took a deep breath. "Hey, Alpha, this is..." Mr. Giovanni looked at me.

"Bentley Kai. Bentley is fine," I said.

"Bentley, he'll be here for some time; assist him in any way you can."

A robotic voice replied, "Identifying visitor."I shuddered as a blue light appeared from the ceiling. "Scan complete. Welcome, Bentley."

I peeked, forcing a smile as Giovanni looked at me. "Oh..." I chuckled.

"Calling its name will trigger it," he said as he entered the elevator and clicked a button. I sighed. "What a sophisticated man."

I opened the refrigerator and brought out the ingredients for pancakes, then rolled up my sleeves with a smirk. "Time to get serious."

Author's note:
Our boys, under the same roof, alone in this house, they might kiss... Lol, no! It's too early for that,😆 or is it?😏
