He didn't bothered about the stares that he was getting as he walked through the corridor. His heart ponded as he got closer to the principal office.

He pushed the door and enters inside. Hie eyes widen seeing what was happening front of his sight. He looked shocked as he roams his eyes around and his gazed stopped on hers who had her head down.

He looks at the principal clearing his throat.

Neil : what happened sir? Why did you call me so urgently?

Principal: I had no intention to call you Neil but i had it. You won't believe what just happened in your absence.

Neil : what happened sir? You're worrying.

Principal: I think you should ask Avni. She might be able tell your explain you way better than I would do.

Neil's gaze moves from the principal to Avni who hasn't looked at him the moment he arrived in the cabin.

He noticed her posture and got worried how uncomfortable she looked standing there. He looks back at the principal and clears his throat.

Neil : can I please know what has happened? I don't care who can explain in better way. I just want to know why was I called in and why is Avni called in your cabin. What could be the reason?

The principal looks at Avni then back at Neil who looked  furious and impatient being present in the cabin.

Neil : will you start speaking? Do I have to get dad on the call?

Principal face paled as he heard Prakash's name.

Principle: no! Don't call mr khanna. Please.

Neil : what's the matter? Tell me? You don't need to riddle around. I want you to come straight to the point.

Principal nodded his head and starts narrating what happened few hours earlier before Neil was called in.

Neil eyes didn't moved away from Avni as he heard every words that came out from principal mouth.

He diverts his gaze as he heard principal calling him.

Principal: Neil, please advice what to do? We can't let ignore this. We have to take action for this kind of behaviours.

Neil sighs looking at the principal and rubs his nape.

Neil : I will look into this matter. Whatever happened or said will stay in the room. Now I would like to speak to Miss Avni. Please excuse us.

The principal nodded his head left the cabin while Neil looks at Avni then starts moving closer to her.

Neil : I'll be waiting for outside. I expect you to follow me.

He said before he turns around and walks out of the cabin leaving Avni alone. As he left she snaps her head looking at the cabin door and wiping her tears off she follows him.

Her head down as she walked through the corridor and passing all the students who were staring her.

She glanced at him who didn't spoke a word but sat on the drive seat waiting for her.

Opening the door she sat in and fastening the seatbelt she looks outside the window.

He looks at her before he started the engine and drove to khanna mansion.

No words were exchanged between. Her heart starts to pound faster as she recalled what happened in the college.

Neil  sighs as he watched her in between as he drove. He parks the car and clears his throat.

Neil :we have arrived. Come.

They both come out of the car and starts walking inside. Neil immediately walks towards his room while Avni didn't greet anyone and follows him.

He was very well known that she was right behind him.

He sighs and turning his head around looks at her who stood at the door with her head down.

Neil : do you wanna explain? What happened back in college?

He held her hand and drags her to bed and making her sit down he crouched himself down on his knees and looks at her.

Neil : baby, please you need to share it with me? What happened? Why was I called in? You can trust me. What's worrying you? I have been noticing some unusual patterns occurring past few days. What happened?

He spoke while stroking her hand that he was holding. She tilts her head and looks up with tears brimming in her eyes.

He took a deep breath and brushed his thumb wiping the tears off.

Neil : why are you crying baby? I didn't scold you.

She wipes her tears off and looks at him.

Avni : I don't like this. I hate being weak Neil. I don't know how to be strong? I can't he strong.

Neil : that's not true baby. You're strong person.

Avni : no! I'm not strong. This is all happened because of me.. she bullies me all the time because I allow her. I can't stop her nor I can stand up for myself. I hate it.

Neil wipes her tears off and sat on bed pulls her in a side hug. He strokes her hair gently.

Neil : baby. You're not weak. I don't know how long this is taking place but you should come to me and said it. I would have done something. You didn't had to bare all these by yourself. I was with you. I would never let you get hurt baby. It's hurting right now because I don't protect you.

Avni : no it's not your fault Neil. It's mine my fault. I couldn't fight back. Her bitter words hurts so much. I couldn't fight back. I'm sorry Neil, because of me you were called in today.

Neil pecks her forehead and shook his head.

Neil : I wouldn't mind going there baby. I found out the truth. Can you please tell the whole truth? How long has this been happening since? Why didn't you report it?

Avni : i don't know how to start Neil.. I don't know why she is after me? I really don't know. It all happened few months back ago. She has problems with me.

Neil knew this wasn't all truth. He knew something was not right. He had to find the truth out.

Neil : why did she push you? Why did you punch her?

Avni : I was going to my class and all of sudden she comes and starts taunting me. I don't know why she pushed me.

Neil : why did you punch her baby?

Avni : she said something that I couldn't hold myself up from punching her..

Neil : what did she say? What made you so angry? Tell me baby.

She got quiet and starts fumbling not know how to explain him. Neil watched her actions and understood she was definitely hiding something from him.

Avni: can we please not talk about that?

Neil : i wouldn't stop till you tell me baby. What is stopping you? Why are you protecting her? She is the one who harmed you.

Avni : I'm not protecting anyone Neil. I just don't want to talk about it.

She got up and went to washroom.  Neil sighs and looks at the door. He got lost in his thoughts and knew what to do next.

Neil smiles looking at Prakash.

Neil : hey dad. I need to tell you something.

Prakash : what happened now?

Neil shook his head and explained what happened in college today.

Prakash: how could this happen?

Neil : dad, it okay. I have things controlled. Can you please handle office for a week? I'll join you back after that.

Prakash: no worries. I can manage at office.

Neil : thanks dad.

Neil ( mind) I will find the truth baby. No hard you try to hide but I'll find it. You can't stop me.

His thoughts were disturbed by swetha voice. He turns around and looks at swetha.

Neil : mom! Why are you yelling?

Swetha : why can't I yell?

Neil : mom! Stop yelling. My ears hurts.

Swetha rolls her eyes and glares him slapping his shoulder.

Swetha : where is Avni? She didn't even come down to help. Is she okay?

Neil : she is okay mom. She might be studying.

Swetha nodded her head and went back to kitchen leaving Neil to chuckle as he wondered why was his mother yelling in first place.

He shook his head and got engaged talking to Prakash regarding business.
