A loud screeching voice from downstairs disturbs his sleep. His eyes widen flicks opens. He glanced down looking at her still sleeping snuggling into his chest.

He wonders who would he screaming so loudly early in the morning. He looks over the time and frowns its only 7am.

He took a deep breath and untangling himself from her grip gets down bed. Slipping the sippers, he walks out of the room closing the door behind him quietly.

Rubbing his eyes he descends down the stairs and frowns seeing few unfamiliar faces in his mansion.

He looks at his parents who also looked confused staring at the unfamiliar faces expect Prakash who seems to recognise them.

He got near them and calls Prakash name out gaining their attention.

Neil : dad what's happening? Who is shouting this early?

Prakash looks at Neil and was about to reply him when the elder lady herself looking at Neil responded.

Lady : are you Neil khanna?

Neil looks so confused hearing the lady but nevertheless nodded his head.

Neil : yes I'm! Who are you? How do you know? We have never met each other before?

Lady : no! We haven't! But I know who you are?

Neil looks so confused and was trying to understand what was happening in his house.

Neil : who are you? I don't remember meeting you. Do we know each other?

Lady : my name is dayavnti Metha...

His eyes widen as he heard her saying the name. He looks at his parents then looks back at dayavnti.  His eyes boils in anger.

Neil: what the hell are you doing? Who allowed you in? Dad, why didn't you stop them?

He yelled at his own parents who didn't knew what to answer him back. His gazes turns looking at dayavnti.

Neil : why are you here?

Dayavnti: I need to see my granddaughter.

Neil chuckles and mocks her.

Neil : really! What did you just say? Granddaughter? Do you know which granddaughter you were talking about? Do you?

Dayavnti : where is she? I know she lives here. I will take her with me. No one can stop me. Including me.

Neil steps closer and dangerously glares her.

Neil : I dare you! You won't be able to take her away from me. I won't let you.

Dayavnti smirks and starts yelling Avni's name out loudly while khanna family thought is she mad or what.

Neil : this is my house. Stop screaming me.

She smirks and looks at Neil.

Dayavnt: when did I say this is house? I didn't even want to stay here. Just call her..

Neil fisted his hand controlling his anger. He wouldn't let anyone take his love away from him. He opens his mouth to say something but stopped hearing a soft voice behind him.

He turns around facing the stairs where his Avni stood by the stairs rubbing her eyes not acknowledging new people standing front of her.

He watched her as she climbs down the stairs and back hugs him making him smile lightly. He patted her head and kissed her head ignoring the people who were witnessing their moments.

Neil softly whispers her name.

Neil : baby... open your eyes. We have some unexpected and uninvited visitors.

Her eyes opens and backing out and roams her eyes around the room and got shocked seeing when she looks at the faces who was connected to her.

Her body stiffen, her hands turns cold, her face paled seeing them. The people who she hates the most. She hates them who kicked her out of the house. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she looks at them.

Her body soften as she felt his body pulling her close to his chest. A sobs escapes from her mouth as she hid herself in his arms.

Neil caressed her hair and looks at the people who were reason of her tears. He gestures his parents to make them leave. His parents nodded and asked them to leave but they were adamant not leave.

Neil tightens his grip around her shoulder and looks at dayanvnti.

Neil : leave the house.. I don't want to call the police.

Dayavnti : you won't call them. We won't go without taking her with us. She is our granddaughter.

" no! I'm not.

They all heard Avni's harsh voice. Avni broke the hug and looks at Dayavnti.

Avni : I'm not your family. Why are you here? Why did you come back? You're no one to me. Did to hear that? Leave.

Her own voices creaked up as she held the tears remembering how her parents passed away and her so called family didn't cared or grief over their death but were happy and celebrated.

She was shamed to be part of that family. She doesn't need them. Why did they came back? Didn't they broke before? Why are they here?

She wipes her tears furiously and looks at Neil who held her in his arms.

Avni : Neil... please send them back. They aren't my family. I don't have a family. My family passed away when my parents died. I don't knor them.

Neil's heart broke as he watched her getting emotional. Her vulnerable state shattered his heart. He cups her face and wipes the tears off with his thumb and looks at her.

Neil : baby calm down. You trust me right. I won't let anyone take you away from me. No one is going to separate us. Okay. Please trust me.

Her eyes stares his. She knew he was right but at the moment she wasn't in right state.

Neil : dad.. call the police. I don't care whatever they say. I don't want them near my girl. Call them.

Prakash nodded his head and took his phone out to call the police when dayavnti snatched the phone and threw it away.

Dayanvnti : no one will call the police and you have no right to come between our family matter.

Neil : what family matters are you talking about? Did you ever consider her as your family? Did you?

He shouts. He had enough of them. This was right time so them what family is.

Dayavnti : you can't change the fact. She is Metha. You don't even know what she is hiding. Who are you to interfere between us.

Neil : I heard enough of your nonsense. Quietly leave the house.

Dayavnti smirks.

Dayavnti : I'll leave but before that can I have a word with my precious granddaughter.

Neil suspiciously looks at her but he also couldn't say no. He looks down and found Avni glaring dayavnti.

Neil: no! You can't talk to her.

Dayanvnti : oh really! Just watch how I destroy you both.

She spoke moving closer to them and quietly whispers something into Avni's ear whose eyes widen and her body froze. 

She steps away and smirks seeing Avni's posture. She gestures her family to move knowing what will happen next.

She was about step her foot out of the mansion when she heard Avni's voice. Neil and his family looks at Avni.

Avni : stop!

Dayavnti smirks and turns around.

Neil : Avni what are you doing? Let them go.

She didn't looks at him or respond but gazed at dayavnti who smirks.

Avni : I'll come with you.

This shocked everyone especially Neil who wasn't able to understand what just happened. He looks at her in shock.

Dayavnti: that's like my granddaughter. Go and take your stuff.

She didn't respond but turning back and don't glancing anyone in the family headed upstairs.

Neil angrily rubs his neck and ran up the stairs following her.

He wasn't really expecting this to happen. He was so furious that he would even hurt her but this wasn't he wanted to do. He had to be calm.

Neil held her hand who stuffed all the belongs in her bag wiping her own tears.

Neil : why are you doing this baby? You don't have to go with them. I won't let you go baby. Why?

His voice sound so desperate. He knew something was fishy.

She didn't listen to him but pushing him away quickly packed her stuff. Zipping her bag , she grabs it and went down with him tailing behind her.

He slumps down as he watched her leaving with them. His eyes brimmed with tears. His heart broke. He looks at exist hoping this is dream.
