Yesterday, on this tragic day for every person who loves Harry potter, one way or another, I found of about Alan Rickman.

I don't usually cry about things like this. But once I really processed what happened yesterday, I did start crying.

Because you fully realize that there will no longer be the double agent, misunderstood potions teacher, and one amazing actor who made Severus Snape real.

Watching Snape die the first time was very upsetting for me. Though, the Half -Blood Prince never really made sense to me because I was only a kid, reading the book then watching the movie-again for probably the millionth time- I fully understand it. And I fully understand what it feels when you watch someone in a movie that is your favorite die.

But when I found out about Alan Rickman, I prayed that April Fool's Day had come early and hoped it was just some cruel prank. But I had to face the fact that an amazing actor has left us all because of this cruel disease.

Gets you thinking if cancer was never real. All those people who have suffered it would most likely still be alive.

And so would Alan Rickman.

I keep seeing a quote from him. (I may not get it all right...)

"When I am 80 years old, sitting in a rocking chair and reading the Harry Potter books. My family will tell me, 'After all this time?' and I will say, "Always.'"

Because of some stupid, cruel disease, he won't be able to live to 80.

And it breaks all of our hearts knowing that he was taken to early from this world.

Yes, people say that when someone is dying, that "It is their time." But it never was their time if something like cancer, something not been able to be cured, took them from their families. Too all these actors and actresses. Took all the singers and authors. Took all the ordinary people. Took all the people who didn't deserve what they had went through to leave so quickly from us all.

I don't know how we will live in a world without Alan Rickman.

But we will have to pull through.

Raise your wands in respect.

And when someone asks who your favorite actor is to see if it has changed. You say Alan Rickman.

Knowing the famous line from Dumbledore, they say "After all this time?"

I respond, "Always."
