After the boys joined, we ate supper. "You two, as grunge, will be in charge of cleanup. I want you two to do it quietly.  You can listen in but no interruptions. All questions can be saved until the end." I asked the others, "Benjamin and Kyle, what did you discover?"

"Yes, Charlie," they said in sad tones. I knew they were thinking of their crying family members.

Benjamin nodded to Kyle to speak first. "The area is still cordoned off. The Lycan informed us that most debris was within 300 feet of the vehicles. However, some have been found about a mile away. They have been slowly moving debris. The bomb went off in the middle of a farm owned by a lone wolf family sponsored by several packs. The family has not been seen since about a week before the explosion. Neighbors say this time of year, they usually take a two-week vacation and let Mother Nature run it. They found reservations to start this past Saturday, but they were a no-show. Don't know if met with foul play or if they were a part of it."

Benjamin said, "Chris and I were checking the area while the warriors were talking to the Lycan who were there on sight. Yes, a lot of evidence has been marked and moved. But we did ask the Lycan's trackers about the tracks going to and from the farm. They stated that the explosion brought in a lot of people. Most were standing around in horror and had parked in that area since there was a parking lot. Well, there was one trail that Chris found with about nine different footprints on it. It was not a marked trail that others used. We could not take it but found four pieces of torn, and he swears the scent was Elder Jocelyn." He looks at Chris and says, "Tell them what you told me."

"One of the Lycan showed me several paths that were used to get from the farm to the car bombing. The tracks had several footprints and paw prints. One of the paths we followed had at least nine different people. It was the day before Elder Jocelyn, Elder Hutton, Scott, Zander, and the guard's death. It had rained. The ground was soft and muddy on the day of the bomb. Many footprints were left. Plus, I found four torn pieces of material that had a faint smell of Elder Jocelyn. They took it for evidence.

They did take castings of all the footprints, according to the Lycan.  One thing I noticed was there was a set of dried prints that led beside the car. One thing I pointed out to the Lycan tracker on the scene was debris seemed to be on top of the image when looking at the photo. I questioned that, and he said it was figured one of the bystanders or firemen had knocked it on top, but..."

He stopped talking. He quickly got up and walked over to the table where the files and folders were. He started looking through the photos.

Zeus asked, "What are you looking  for ?"

I looked at him and growled, "Reminder I said no questions until after we are all done." Though I will admit, I wondered the same thing.

We all were looking at Chris as he shuffled through the photos. We could hear him saying, "Where is it. They better of included it. Nope, nope, nope," as he dropped one photo after another.  Then he stopped shuffling and dropped all the other images on the table. "That is what was wrong. That print was there beforehand." He looked at Benjamin and Conner, "We need to get back to the area. We have more storms soon, and I don't want the evidence washed away."

Conner looked at him, "We can do that, but what exactly are you talking about?"

He handed the photo to Conner, and Benjamin walked over to look at it, "if debris would have been knocked down on top of the footprints, it should be knocked to the side from where the car originally was." He points to the photo, "The debris on top of the footprint is knocked away from the blast. That means these footprints were there before the blast."

Conner looked closer at the photo. "The witnesses said two blast sounds a couple of minutes apart. That means someone walked up to the car for an unknown reason and walked away. Then it blew up."

I asked, "Then why didn't they leave the car?"

Conner said, "I don't know."

Yuri asked, "Did the car have child locks engaged?"

I replied, "No, Dad did not feel they were safe. He said if we ever had to do a quick deployment from the vehicle, we could be trapped inside. Even when we were little, he refused to engage them. We learned not to touch the door knobs in a moving vehicle."

Connor looked at me, "But they could have been engaged when the bomb was added to the vehicles."

I looked at him, "Connor, Chris, and Benjamin, tomorrow, go back to the site and go back over the scene."

I then looked at the others and back at Connor, "Connor, when your group was given the notes and reviewing them with the Lycan, what did you learn?"

"I was talking to your uncle. He was telling me that the forensic team had verified, based on pieces of the bomb, that it was the same type of bomb materials, but they were different types of bombs. Only one of the escapees had gone through the Counseling Center and was sent to our prison. The others never met her to anyone's knowledge. We know that only a couple dozen rouges get turned down and sent to prison. That center saved thousands of lives over the past 20+ years. We do not know why she or Elder Hutton was the target."

He pointed to the table, "We have three boxes of notes and are told they will email us more as they get it. However, their priority has been tracking down the escapees. Plus, repairing the prison. They are redesigning the layout so nothing will be within 500 feet of the prison. As you could tell how Chris was going through things, it is not in order."

He then sat down. "We have more questions than answers. We are selves surprised too. Doc Eli was surprised he knew the patient. He treated him last summer for a broken arm. He is Alpha Samson from Mountain Moon's brother-in-law, Theron.

He had been camping with some school friends and the family. He signed up to do a bicycle relay. His friends were not interested in going. He was supposed to be gone five days. He had permission from his sister, who is his legal guardian, to participate. He was riding to the place and took a wrong turn. He heard the explosion. He called 911 and then raced his bike over. He said he rode up to a few of the guys there. Then the world went black. He stated it was only one explosion. He was unconscious by the second one, or the second one knocked him out. It was about then that Alpha Samson returned my call. I excused myself while Beth and Doc kept him company."

Beth said, "While Charlie talked to Alpha Samson, I got Theron into talking. I now have four drawings of the people Theron could describe to me." She handed the drawing out for everyone to view.

I then looked at everyone and stated, "We should all bed head.  In the morning, here is what we will do after breakfast. Aiden, Connor, Benjamin, and Chris will return to the explosion sight. See if you can track anything else down.  Dave, Zane, and the rest of you warriors will head to the counseling center to see if anyone knows who the four people are. See if maybe an old patient or family member. Beth, Elijah, Elliot, and Gwen will go back to Theron. Beth, you got him talking, so maybe he will remember more as you visit tomorrow. I will go meet the alpha of Eaglewood Pack."

Zeus asked me, "What do you want us to do, Alpha Charlie?"

"You will clean up after breakfast and then contact Charles.  You will work to try to get all this stuff in order. Just use my trailer to do that.  If you need to, remove the sofa and put a desk."
