The day after the memorial, Councilman Goliath called together everyone who was still at Juniper Pack that came for the memorial. He did look tired.

I walked up to him, "Why did you call this meeting without consulting either myself or Solomon?

He smiled at me and then looked over the crowd, "Yesterday after the memorial, I talked with Alpha Easton about how being named ambassadors would not do away with a rouge status once you officially stepped down since you would not be part of a pack.

I called an emergency council meeting, and we worked into the night. We created a new law that will protect you. Under this new law, when a threat has been made to a supernatural, no matter the species, they can petition the supernatural committee to activate SNAP.

This pack will offer dual citizenship. You will still be a part of your pack, clan, flock, etc. But you come together on a mission with other supernaturals not part of your regular group. The committee will sanction this group to seek justice or illuminate evil.

What it will do is keep your status in your group but place it on pause. This way, you do not pick up a rogue scent. When sanctioned and you go through the ceremony by the committee, it will allow you to work as one in a natural environment. It will give you a power structure. It will, in this case, let others know who are the Alpha, Beta, and Delta. Let me warn you now it will pick the ones who are the strongest physically, mentally, and emotionally to lead the group toward a successful mission. The witches worked hard on that spell with seers from all groups last night.

Alpha Charlie, you may or may not be named Alpha for this mission. We have three Betas, and they might not call you Beta. The same will go to your Deltas. Those of you who volunteered or were assigned to this mission could reject you to be a part of this mission. If that is the case, it could be several reasons. No, you will not lose any power. Those who are assigned a rank will gain strength for that rank. It was, as I said, a highly complex spell. With the seer's help, we got the goddess's blessings," he looked over the crowd. 

"After you go through this ceremony, what will happen is your power will go dormant in the pack, but they will still feel your presence as a member. The pack will no longer be able to link between you. You can still link with your pack leaders/acting leaders or mates. The leaders will not be able to command you. Only the SNAP leaders will be able to control you.  Instead of the old pack link, you can fully connect with those accepted into SNAP.

The alpha or leader of other species in charge of SNAP can accept someone into the group as a member and go through a blessing ceremony with them, but if they are not a match, they, too, will be rejected as a SNAP. Only someone who can benefit from your mission can join, but they still can be an honorary member but not a mission member. As stated, a very complex spell."

He looked over to the elders. "Will the Juniper Elders and Elder Solomon please step forward? With the alpha, betas, and deltas going after their pack members' murderers, we did not want the pack to be without leadership. We, the council, now bring these elders out of retirement." The witness gasped and stood in bewilderment. They see a bright bluish glow on the elders. The blue light switches to a golden glow. Then disappears.   "They are now co-leaders with the Juniper Pack leaders."

He looks at Charlie, Gwen, Beth, Dave, and Zane. "If you are not chosen to be part of SNAP, they will still be your co-leaders while you grieve.  Gradually over time, their leadership power will fade back to being elders. Now we will perform the very first SNAP."

He looked over to Alpha Charles. "Before the memorial, we had 43 members apply to be part of SNAP. Since then, we climbed to 67 members. NOW I CALL ALL THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO THIS MISSION BY YOUR LEADER OR VOLUNTEERED TO STEP FORWARD." Sixty-seven wolves came forward toward me and Goliath. "I have three bowls here. When I call you up, I will slice your palm after your blessing. If you are accepted, your blood will go into the middle bowl. If rejected for this mission, your blood will go into one of these other bowls.  Now let us get started."

His mate, Tianna, walks and stands by her mate. She calls each person forward and blesses them. After the blessing, Goliath slices each person's palm. The blood runs out and lands in the bowl. Their blood started to spell out words. It stated what rank each volunteer was if accepted into SNAP.  If it landed in the other bowls, those members returned to the crowd. If they were born, they stood behind Goliath in a line.

Councilman Goliath, "Our goddess has shown her choices. She has chosen these fifteen wolves to represent SNAP1. Congratulations." He looked over at the 52 not chosen.

"Those of you who were not chosen your packs can deem yourself worthy to try another time if SNAP is ever needed again. Your blood went into the bowl on the right side. If it had gone to the bowl on the left, it would have deemed you unworthy, and your leader would have had to figure out why it was health-related, weak in spirit or strength, or a traitor to your pack. You all were none of those. Congratulations to you too."

He looked toward me, "Alpha Charlie- in the new warehouse we built this week, we have had supplies placed for your group. Here is a credit card, and this envelope has a pin, so you have the funds. Charles will be in charge of added funds as you need them. Now go with our blessings."

I am now putting on my thinking cap and trying to decide how the mission will go on.
