Summer Camp

Geri was holding Chris. His first was balled up, and his eyes were pitched black when they popped into Cami's assigned office. All Geri said, "Once he calms down, have him brief you." Then she popped out.

Cami looked at him and, in her alpha tone, said follow me. He had no alternative but to follow her. He was having a hard time controlling his rage. She took him to the training area. She called out to her mates and Charlie, "Something angered him. He is losing control." She looked at Chris  and ordered, "Shift."

He shifted and growled at her. Just then, Dave and Zane turned and got in front of her. Charlie then got in front of them. He looked at Chris, "I can tell something angered you. It would help to work off your anger until you can tell us what it is. However, growling at a pregnant alpha she-wolf isn't the way unless you want angry pissed off mates and brother-in-law."

He called to his brothers, "You two, calm down. It wasn't your mate he was growling at. It was some situation he saw. It was bad enough that his wolf had taken over. Since no blood is on him, no one's been hurt, and the mission is still safe. So stand down, brothers." He then, in firm command, said, "Spar with me."

Chris lunged. Charlie stepped aside and smacked him. Chris rolled away, and when he stopped, he turned and thrust again. He then shifted back into his human self. He started punching Charlie. Charlie let him hit him over and over until he clasped in exhaustion. He did something he never did before; he broke down and cried. Charlie held out his hand, and someone handed him a blanket. Chris wrapped it around Chris and let him cry out his hurt. "She alive, he said in a hurt raspy voice."

Charlie asked, "What did you say?"

He looked up at Charlie, "Jocelyn is alive."

"You saw our mother?"

"No, your grandmother."

"WHAT?"

Just then, Adam, Easton, Bruno, and Goliath came up. Adam said, "Let's take this to the conference room. He looked at Dave and Zane, "Get your sisters and their mates. You and your mates meet us there."

Goliath added, "Get some clothes for Chris."
They turned to walk to the conference room.

Chris looked at Easton, "Get Peter too."

Chris got dressed and went into the conference room. The first thing he did was walk up to Cami. Her mates growled at him. Before he could say anything, she growled back at her mates. They stopped but were still tense. Chris knelt before her and grabbed her hand, "I want to apologize for growling at you. I will admit I haven't lost control of my wolf like that since I was a young pup after my first shift." He then offered his neck to her.

She put her hands on his shoulders, "Stand. I know you came back angry. If I hadn't been pregnant, I would have fought you. I know it wasn't me you were growling at. Though I will admit, it was hard not to want to pound into you myself. I forgive you."

Chris stood and looked at her mates, "I understand I also made you both mad. I am sorry. I just was so angry and lost control. I was mad enough to even attack your brother without thinking it through. I ask for your forgiveness too."

Zane growled, "I forgive you, but if you ever growl at her again, my brother won't hold me back."

Dave replied, "You do have some powerful punches. You even left a few bruises on Charlie." And then he laughed. He then walked up and gave Chris a bro hug, "I forgive you too, but  what Zane said to you also applies to me."

"Noted." He then turned to Charlie, "I am sorry I took my anger out on you." He offered his neck to him."

"Chris, I have known you for years. I know whatever set you off must of been bad. Now tell us what it was. We can help."

Chris replied, "No, you will get angry too." He looked at Peter, "Sion is there."

Peter replied, "My brother?"

"Yes, he was there with Victoria."

"My mom? Why in the hell was she there? Did she betray us too?"

"No, she wasn't there willingly."

Charlie and Zane simultaneously asked, "What about my sisters?"

Chris replied, "I never saw them."

Beth replied, "There, ok. They are at the pack with their nanny and Solomon. They said Grammy went to work. I promised we would call them back later."

Goliath said, "Tianna said Victoria did not come in today."

Chris shouted, "I told you they got her. She stopped someplace and saw Sian. He grabbed her. He had her in cuffs. We saw them drive into the territory, and I recognized her. We followed her. They went to the packhouse. He got out of the car angry. He pulled Victoria out. They were in a shouting match. That's when I saw she was wearing handcuffs."

Beth growled, "he handcuffed his mother. How many did she take out?"

Chris replied, "That wasn't mentioned.  He did admit Peter wasn't part of this plan. He said he became too wimpy once he knew he was a father.  He looked forward to killing them."

Elijah and Elliot grabbed their mates and growled.  Peter stood up and went behind the girls. He put his hands on the mate's shoulder, "he will be dead before he gets with yards of them."

Chris looked at them, "Victoria then shouted at him and said to stop this. They might give him the death sentence for being part of the plot that killed Jocelyn."

That when he claimed, good thing Jocelyn is alive. Victoria then spit at him. He backhanded her. That is when I lost control and Geri brought me back here."

"Hi Solomon, is Grammy there?" There is a pause. "Oh she did. I will call back later. Give the girl kisses from me." Beth hangs up.

"The girls are with the nanny. Grammy ran to the council today."

Goliath grabs his phone and dials, "hey Elijah. I was trying to reach Victoria and no answer. Have you seen her?" He paused to listen "A member of SNAP said he saw her in cuffs with her son, Sian. Better declare code red until we find out what is going on." Another pause, "Better let him in. No, I don't know why he is there."

Just then, Celia popped into the room. "I have a feeling that's why Celia popped into our meeting. Keep me informed." he hung up.

Charlie said, "your lucky I recognize you, Celia, or you be dead."

Before she could say anything, Goliath said, "Are you here for the same reason Daniel is at the council?"

"Yes sir, I came to report," her voice trailed away when there was a sharp knocking on the door, and it opened before anyone could say anything. Becca walked in.

Everyone looked at her, and she exclaimed, "Tren just came to get Connor. He said there was a coven of witches, and they spoke some foreign language."

Charlie roared, "What the hell is going on there." everyone stopped and looked at him. He looked at Celia and asked, "Why did you come here?"

"I was shocked, but they have five Phoenix in chains. I thought they were extinct but apparently not."

The room was stunned in silence.
