Aiden, Geri, and Benjamin, the following day, sat down at about 3:30 a.m., eating breakfast together. Aiden said, "After talks last night with Kief and Geri, I split the groups up." He handed Geri and Benjamin their list.

Aiden ended up with six elves: Tinket, Alberta,
Robin, Legolas, Beatrice, Soni, plus four fairies: Gemini, Crocus, Aisha, and Que, in his patrol.

Geri ended up with SNAP member Chris; six elves: Ada, Alvin, Algar, Quinn, Perri, and Velda; plus three other fairies on her team: Francis, Lew, and Tren.

Benjamin ended up with six elves: Faye, Joan, Kief, Nikkel, Tommy, and Lilel, plus four fairies: Xianne, Yien, Dennie, and Celia

"When breakfast is done, Geri, you will take your group to section two and do a complete surveillance of your area. When done, have Chris inform me. Then transport back to Cami with the details." He points to her area on the map.

"Benjamin, your patrol is going to do section three. Your group has to be extra careful since you are in charge of also the town. Also, message me when your team is done. Report back to Cami." Aiden pointed to Ben's area on the map.

"I am going to be in charge of section one. When done, I will let you know and report back to Cami." Everyone is to report back to Cami by 5:00 pm. If there is no contact, we will assume you have captured. Now let us finish breakfast. Then break into our teams and transport to our assigned places."

They took off a little after 4:00 am to their assigned areas. They were going to monitor and track activity on Rendezvous Pack territory.

SECTION ONE

Aiden and his group arrived at where he decided base camp was. He looked at his group. He has six elves and four fairies. "I have decided to break us into five groups of two. I will be by myself.

Tinket and Gemini will transport to section 1A.
Alberta and Crocus will transport to section 1B.
Robin and Aisha will transport to section 1C
Legolas and Que will transport to area 1D
Beatrice and Soni will search 1E.
I will search 1F.

Search your areas carefully. We know the water has Kelpie, so do not step in any water. Four of you can transport you and your partner over the creeks and rivers. Beatrice and Soni must be extra careful since you don't have a fairy to transport you. I will be searching my area or patrolling our perimeter. If you need me, head to the perimeter and wait for me to get to you. When you finish your assigned section, report back to base."

"Yes, Sir." They all took off toward their assigned sections.

Tinket and Gemini were in section 1A. They were done searching their area by 10:40 am. They went to the border and waited for Aiden to come. When he arrived, Tinket reported, "We went over this area, and all rivers and creeks have Kelpie in them. They were mostly in groups of two unless the water was disturbed."

Gemini added, "A flock of ducks landed in the water in one section. Within a few minutes, there were about twenty Kelpies. Then they split back into their two people groups and took off back to their assigned areas. I was surprised they did not attack them."

Tinket said, "Wolf patrols are about every 45 to 50 minutes. Since they never noticed us, they were not very observant. Do you want us to report to the base? Go back over this area again?"

"I discovered a tunnel in my area, but it was time for me to do my patrol. I want you to do surveillance on it while I finish patrolling." He showed them on the map where it was located. "I will meet you there later."

Alberta and Crocus returned to base about five minutes before the deadline. They both had grim looks on their face. Alberta looked at Aiden, "In section 1B, we found a hidden tunnel entrance. Saw various supernaturals going in and out of them. Seven of them were on your wanted for questions. Plus, three of them were part of the prisoners who escaped from Lycan prison. I saw seven elves who are on our most wanted list. Crocus saw three fairies he knows are on his species' most wanted list. There were six fairies he did not recognize. They followed an enchanted trail that would hide their footprints that went off the pack territory to an underground garage. I would see them disappear and then reappear, driving out in various vehicles. There were also at least four witches, fifteen other wolves, and a couple of goblins. They are using this mountain range to keep their presence hidden."

Crocus stated, "I noticed the wolves patrol the perimeter of this area about every fifty minutes, give or take a couple of minutes. They seem to pay attention more to the outside than in. I figure they rely on the Kelpie to keep the interior safe."

"Your group seems to confirm what other teams reported about their patrols and Kelpie. Tomorrow will see if we can get Connor or Becca to check the enchanted trails. Plus, I want you two to go to the council to see if they can help you identify the others. We seem to have come across a nest of fugitives. No wonder they did not want Dave or Zane to enter their territory."

Robin and Aisha got done in their area at 11:30. Robin reported, "We checked our area, and other than Kelpie, we did find anything. We decided to look for Beta Aiden in section 1F. We saw Alberta and Crocus. They told us about the tunnel and finding an enchanted path. We followed the magical path while they watched the tunnel as directed by Beta. The trail leads to an underground garage. This garage had various vans with many different logos on them. There was no activity in this garage."

Alberta added, "We saw no activity coming in or out of the tunnel we were watching either."

Legolas, Que, Beatrice, and Soni arrived back at about 4:30 p.m. at base camp. Beatrice said, "We ended up meeting up with Legolas and Que. We did team up together. Right on the border, we went to explore the ruins. We noticed activity. This area is also full of traps. We have marked them on the map. What we decided to do was from a high ridge. Legolas and I set up a watch area. We had our weapons ready, just in case. Soni and Que went into tiny appearance. Those two went down to explore the ruins. They discovered twenty-one trolls, but they also saw nine wolves in chains. Just as they were getting ready to leave, they saw two witches show up. One of the witches, I think, might have detected them. But after several minutes of looking around, she went back inside. That is when they rejoined us, and we departed the area to return here."

Que added, "Since the evening was approaching, I did message a cove of bats I know to feed on insects I saw in the area. I figure if they came out to investigate, they would cover up any markings we might if accidentally left behind."

Soni added, "I called upon the elements, and in about half an hour, there will be rain. I know we had a 30% chance of evening rain. I bumped it up to 70% chance. I figured that would cover up what the bats might miss."

Legolas added, "We also, from our vantage point, saw you pass six separate times at various spots. Rendezvous patrols one group passed every forty-five minutes. There was also a second patrol that passed every thirty minutes around the ruin. They passed in front of the ruin entrance at seven and thirty-seven minutes after the hour.

Aiden replied, "I think we should also see about getting some goblins to explore those tunnels. Now let us get back and report our findings to Cami."

SECTION TWO

Geri looked at everyone in her group and pointed at the map. "Quinn and  Perri, I am placing you close to base camp since you two will be paired together and won't have a fairy to transport you to a farther out search area.  You will be in section 2D.  Velda, Chris, and I will take section 1A. This appears to be where the pack house is.  Ada and Francis, you will have section 2B. Alvin and Lew will have section 2C. Algar and Tren will have section 2E. When you are done searching your section, report back here to base. I want everyone to report back here by 4:00 p.m. I know all the fairies in this group can communicate with nature. If you get captured or cannot leave your area, use nature to send messages back to base camp. Everyone be safe and take off." Everyone then looks off.

Velda, Chris, and Geri popped into their area. The first thing they saw was a car driving up the road. Chris said, "Why is Councilwoman Victoria here?" They saw the car stop, and the driver angrily got out. He goes to the back door and opens it, and pulls Victoria out of it.

They hear her yelling, "Why are you doing this, Sian?"

He shouts back, "You just happened to stop at the wrong gas station Mother. If you hadn't seen me with the others, I would not have had to take you."

"I thought you had changed and learned your lesson in prison. Is Peter also in on this? You were supposed to get released next month. Why did you escape?"

"Hell no, he refused to do anything wrong after he became a dad. When we declare war on Juniper, I look forward to killing those bitches."

"You will not harm my granddaughters. They never have done you any wrong. They are kind girls and even forgiven Peter. You know, when they capture you and all involved in Jocelyn's death, you will most likely get the death sentence."

"You seem to prefer your grand pups over your son."

"I never said that."

"Guess is good she is still alive then, and her death was faked."

Victoria sputtered, "your lying. I was at their memorial."

"No, you were at the farmer's memorial." He starts laughing until Victoria spits in his face. He slapped her and knocked her to the ground.

Chris bunch his fingers up, trying not to growl or attack. Geri grabbed him and left Velda there. She popped into Cami's assigned office. She said, "Once he calms down, have him brief you."

She then popped back next to Velda. I looked down and saw they Victoria and Sian were gone.
Velda whispered, "he took her inside.  There are about 300-400 rouges and about fifty pack members practicing on the training field.  A few of them are strong fighters, but the majority are mediocre fighters." They continued watching and were very surprised when they saw about twenty witches, twenty fairies, fifteen shifters, and a small dragon come out. The wolves moved to the outer edge while the other supernaturals were in the middle.  Then they started sparring with each other.  They observed them until about 3:45 and then went back to base.

Ada and Francis searched their area.  They were surprised they did not even find Kelpie swimming in the creeks. Just as they were getting ready to leave their room at about 1:00 pm, they saw a bus drive up and head toward the pack house. They decided to watch the road. Another bus appeared a few minutes before they were to return to base. Francis popped back to base at 4:00. He reported, "Just came back to report that Ada is still observing. We observed buses with tented windows arriving, so he is observing them. I am going back, and when it stops, we can either report back here or to the camp."

Geri replied, "Meet us at camp. I will send Cora to you. Could you tune in to Cora so she can find you? She will relieve you."

Alvin and Lew searched their area. Other than seeing Kelpie, they saw no other supernaturals in the woods or mountains. There was no activity on the road through their section. They headed back to base. Quinn and Perry asked them to look at the area they saw a lot of Kelpie at.

Algar and Tren were searching their area when they found a cave entrance. They saw activity and realized it was a coven of witches. They went to a place where a fire pit was. Plus, several log benches are set up. They heard them starting to chant. Tren leaned over and whispered, "I will go get Connor or Becca." He then poofed.

He came back about then minutes later with Connor. "They sat behind a bush to observe for a few minutes when he whispered. "Most are no longer witches. Three are still witches, but the others have used too much dark magic. They are warlocks. From what I see, this battle will be between good and evil supernaturals.  The spells they are casting are reflection spells. We will have to train how to counteract them. Let us head back."

Quinn and Perry, when they were investigating their area, they noticed a damn had been made, and a lake had formed. In the lake was 40-50 Kelpie swimming around. Plus, two or three groups were coming and going.  Neither of them knew anything about Kelpie and went back to base. They saw Alvin and Lee already back. Quinn asked, Can you come with me and let me show you what we discovered?"

Alvin replied, "Sure."

They arrived and watched Kelpie swimming around.

Lee stated, "They have gathered quite a large pod. Most Kelpies stay in small bands. They must be planning something. We better report this."

Section Three

When they go to their area, Benjamin looks at his group, "We have a long narrow area. We will start at the top and work down and back up. We will alternate elves and fairies. Faye, Xianne, Joan, Yien, KJ, me, Nikkel, Dennie, Tommy, Celia, and Lilel. You are to watch the person(s) next to you as you sweep between the area you are assigned. Make notes of anything you see. Afterward, we will meet at camp. Then will hike into town. You all will pose as my students from the university. Now let's go."

Faye was walking parallel to the west side of the river. Dianne was walking similarly on the east side of the river. They reported, "There are small groups of two to three Kelpie every two miles."

Benjamin said, "You two stay and observe the pod to see if they do anything. It is very odd to have a large group in one place. Return to the base by 4:00 pm."

When they discovered the pack house, where they counted at least 100 rouges coming and going, seventy-five wolves that appeared to be pack wolves were in rags and seemed to be their slaves but not in chains. The one thing they noticed was no pups were around anywhere. Benjamin looked at Joan and Yien, "I want you two to stay here and observe. Report back to base by 4:00 pm.

The rest continued sweeping, but when they got to a valley between a couple of mountains, they were shocked to see ten trolls and five warlocks guarding what appeared to be five Phoenix. Benjamin was saying, "What the hell? I thought they were extinct, yet they have five chained up here. Dennie, please head to the council and inform them of this. Celia, please head to camp and inform Charlie. The rest of you finish sweeping this area. I will stay here observing. Dennie and Celia either return by 4:00 or send someone to get us. Otherwise, we will be late but will make our way back to base."
