Summer Camp Location

After eating breakfast, the three tracking groups met outside. Some of the daytime groups who were scheduled later followed. Geri called out, "The witches that we were expecting last night by supper did not arrive until after midnight. It had to do with their time zone. They arrived at 5:00 pm their time. They are going to show us how the charms that repel traps work. We will only depart once we have all been trained."

Aiden added, "Last night, leaders discussed the best way to get to our locations. It was decided that one fairy would transport one elf over there. The elf's magic makes them blend end easier into their surroundings. They will secure an area for each group outside the territory. Then the fairy will signal someone from their group. That group will be transported to their secure location. Take notes of your areas, including building, manning, traps, and anything else you think of. Have one fairy bring the letters to Cami's office. If she isn't there, leave it with the IT guys next door to her office.

Geri added, "With the mountains, there will be problems with the wolves linking each other. If you must message another group, send a fairy to me. They know how to track me as their leader and transport over to me, and I can pop over to anyone of my warriors. Oh, and leave all cellphone devices here."

Connor then walked out with five others, "Hello, first of all, I want to apologize for the timing misunderstanding. When I gave arrival time, I based it on my time. I did not think of time zone difference. Lesson learned," he then glanced at his watch. "Everyone check their watches, and if yours does not state 7:34 am, please set your watch to that time. I paired my watch to your IT time." A few people started changing their watches. "While you all do that, I am having some of my witches go around and place your charms on you. All the charms were placed in earrings. Even if you shift shapes or sizes, it will shift with you. They are done with different types of stones and shapes. This way, if captured, you can be found and won't look like a device to repel curses and detect traps."

One of the fairies asked, "What if someone like me has no body piercings."

"We can pierce you or place a chip inside you as vets do to dogs." She looked over at Aiden, "I was not referring to you wolves. I did mean dogs, as in pets." She then looked back at everyone. "Once yours has been attached, take the path that leads toward the training yard and circles around toward the lake, and leads back here. I heard you all were given notebooks for you to take notes with. I want you to go write down what you feel or what happens. If anyone gets through the trail without setting one off the first time, there will be a prize. Then we witches will take you down the trails and show you each trap and discuss what you are feeling. Some are very blatant, and some are very settled."

Chris asks, "What happens if we set a trap off?"

"Come here." Chris walked toward him and suddenly felt a very faint tingle and was wearing a splat of yellow paint. His eyes got big. He looked surprised. "If that had been a trap, you could have been injured or dead. Now tell everyone what you felt before getting hit?"

"I felt a very faint tingle and continued walking toward you."

Connor waved his hand, and the splat of yellow disappeared. "Now, I want you to walk toward me. When you feel that itch take a step back. Becca hands him the markers." Another witch walked forward and his markers. "I want you to walk around and feel out the border of the trap and try not to set it off."

Charlie started walking around Connor. He walked about a third of the way around. He stopped and looked toward Connor, "this trap is not circular. It jets out here."

Connor smiled, "very good." He looked at the others, "Many times, members get a false sense of security. Not all traps are evenly dispersed. They will have parts that jet out and trap people even if they have the warning charms like you all will do. Some traps are circular, and squares have jets spurring off like this one," Connor waves his hand, and the trap disappears. "Now, Charlie, go ahead and take off down the trail and mark every trap you feel. Then mark their shapes." Charlie takes off. "He takes two steps down the trail and vanishes in thin air. "This trail is temporarily hiding Charlie from your view and smell. This way, none of you will know where the traps are.." He calls out to Charlie, "Mark the time. You have just one hour to find all the traps."

"Yes, sir," he replied.

"Only us witches can see everyone in the trail. The rest of you who already have your charms on can take off." Some took off down the trail, disappearing from the view of others while Connor continued observing them. The witches continued activating the charms and placing them on others."

Connor looked at some members who were not on track teams, "We will give you charms too, and you will train after they depart. Then we also will do this with the nocturnal groups. Everyone by tomorrow morning will have treats and have gone through training.
We will charm and do training of all who arrive."

It took two hours to complete the training. Two members made it through without setting off a trap. One was Chris, and the other was an elf name, Ticket. They were each given a pass for four weeks at Supernatural Isle. It included all amenities.

Aiden stood up at the end of training. "My group is going to take off first. We will probe the area. We will check on patrol schedules and pass that on before the other groups move to your sections. I would nap or rest before you told me to move into the area. Kief, Geri, and Benjamin, I would like you to come to my section for the original probing. This way, you will see firsthand what we see and then brief your groups when you return."

Kief replied, "Why bring me since I am not in the tracker's group?"

"I want you to see what we will deal with firsthand. As the other groups come in, you can start training classes. We will all have to learn to fight as a group. Connor, I would also like for you to come now. We know witches are there. You can determine their power."

"I can place a cloaking spell on me. This way, I can keep myself from being detected. It is a power-draining spell. I could hold it for maybe four hours at the most. Would be better to keep it at three hours."

"Here is the plan," he points to two fairies in his group, "Gemini and Crocus, I want you to bring Kief and me to our base camp. We will scout the immediate area. When cleared, you will transport him back and bring the rest of our team there. Geri, you will bring Connor once the spell is in place. The three-hour countdown will begin then. Spray yourself with scent begone." Which they did, "Now let's depart."

Gemini, Crocus, Aiden, and Kief transported out.  When they went to their base camp choice, they all went in a different direction. Crocus got back, "We need to tell everyone there is Kelpie in the water.  They were swimming in pairs.  Something alerted them, and they met up with two more Kelpies. It was a deer they alerted on, and they attacked it for just stepping foot in the water. Two wolves showed up and shifted. It was Michael and Caleb. The guy Michael yelled at them for killing the deer. He told them animals or people stepping in the water would not be killed. The animals were given over to the chef, and all others were held captive until he got there to either imprison or kill them himself. Michael and Caleb  then shifted back and ran toward the section 2 area."

Just then, Connor and Geri appeared. Geri asked, "The rest of the group is getting impatient."

Aiden looked at Gemini, "Go back and bring them here.   Also, brief Cami on what Crocus saw. Tell her to talk to the Merfolks and Siren councilman to get more information on them. It's been years since I heard of them. Make sure she passes on about Kelpie to others since they were spotted outside the Rendezvous Pack Territory and inside it."  She was transported out.

Aiden then looked at Crocus, "You were told just to check the surrounding areas.  Crossing into their territory without anyone knowing could have put you and the mission in danger. No more going off alone without letting a team member know."

Crocus looked down and said, "Yes, Beta Aiden."

Aiden added, "What you spotted most likely has saved the mission. Good job."

Crocus lifted his head and said tentatively, "Thank you, sir."

Just then, everyone but Gemini appeared, "Good, you are all here.  Today we are going to be in two-person teams. I want you to pair up with one elf and one fairy.  Kelpies have been spotted in the creeks/riverbeds. Fairies are to transport their partner's overall water sources.  There will be five fairy and Elf teams, and you will be known as group A, B, C, D, E, and my map shows how I broke it up."

Just then, Gemini appeared, "Sir Cami is contacting Councilmen Gisi."

"Thank you," he looked at Benjamin, Geri, Connor, and Kief, "we are going to hit the ruins and do the initial check of that building. Then pop over to the other two known buildings on the property. We are the strongest in this group, and I want Connor to sweep the area to check for warlocks/witches. We right now know we are in dangerous areas. I want everyone at base camp in about two and a half hours for what your quick sweep showed. You will give briefings, and then the other leaders will head back to their groups. We will work to get more details for our maps. The goal is to have all areas mapped out by tomorrow. Then call in Supreme Alpha Charlie and all other groups. Be safe and take off." Everyone disappeared to do their part of the mission.
