TRAVELING WARRIORS

The following day Peter, Cami, Dave, and Zane climbed into the SUV and headed up the mountain to Rendezvous Pack. When they approached the territory, they saw four people blocking the road. One of the people turned and walked away.

Peter started to say, "Hey, that looks like..." Cami leaned over and kissed him. He shut his mouth in shock. Dave and Zane both growled.

"Stop it was the quickest way to shut a male up. Stop growling before they think it's them you are growling at. I will explain later."

Dave stops the car. He climbs out, "We are scheduled to see Alpha Anderson." He holds out his hand, and they growl. He pulls it back to his side.

Cami climbs out. She throws out her alpha power and looks at them, "Why are you giving my mates a hard time? We have council support, and Alpha Charlie arranged for us to come here. I will call upon my grandmother, Councilman Victoria Branson, my uncle, Councilman Goliath, or my Aunt Councilwomen Tianna, to come here and set things straight. So get your ass in gear and tell your Alpha Alexander that you are interfering in Supernatural Council business. I guarantee you that your days in their cell won't be play. I am tired of your pack's rudeness. Some of your members were rude last night at dinner and now this morning."

One of the guy's eyes glazed over. Cami continues, "I sure hope that is your alpha messaging."  Just then, up in the hills, we hear a faint scream. "Who the hell is that screaming?"

One of the wolves looks unsure about replying. He quickly responds, "ItIsSomeoneWhoIsBeingPunished."

She glared at him, "What did you say?"

"It is someone who is being punished," he says in a slower and shallow voice.

"That sound is coming far up. What makes someone cries out like that?"

Just then, a voice says, "This is my pack. It is not your business how we discipline someone. I am Alpha Anderson. State your business."

Cami walks up to him. She pulls out her phone, "We had a young pup in the hospital who was caught on the farmer's video camera. The young pup was identified when hospitalized at the Supernatural Hospital for a broken bone. He also had two companions with him. Based on surveillance tapes from the farm, we came up with nine people responsible for the Counseling Center's Bombing. Three of them were seen on hospital surveillance at the hospital. The young, injured one did list this pack as his pack. He is currently listed as a person of interest, but he discharged himself from the hospital against the doctor's advice before we could question him. We are now trying to track him down.

She shows him the poster they asked Zeus to send them.

He looks at it. "The young pup you're referring to is Red. He grew up in our orphanage. When he got his wolf at sixteen, he took off. We haven't seen him since."

Just then, we heard another scream up the mountain. Dave and Zane growled. Alpha Alexander growled back. Cami turned to them, "Get back in the car. Peter, this time you take the driver's seat."

She then turned to the alpha, "I am sorry, but my mates dislike hearing screams of pain. Now do you recognize any of the others?"

"No, I don't."

"Guess this was a wasted trip. Keep the flyer and share it. There is a $100,000 bounty on each of them. I expected it to take longer here. Guess we will take off either this afternoon or first thing in the morning."

She turns and climbs in the back seat with her mates. Peter turns the car around and drives them back to camp. Her mates started kissing her. Dave asked, "Why did you kiss Peter?"

"Wait until we get in the camper. We got company tailing us." She whispers, "They might overhear." He shuts his mouth but is tense.  When they get back to their camp, everyone climbs out. "I am going to go make our lunch. I tried to link the new couple, but they have us blocked. Get them. Tell them to be here in one hour or else. We are eating, and also, while you're gone, I will see if I can find a campground about six hours down the road for us to stay at tonight.  If not, we leave in the morning."

"But we want to talk with you."

"Later, now go." She turns and walks into the camper.

They grudgingly walk to get the newly mated couple. Dave looks at the other two, "they mated on the full moon so that they might still be going at it. Better be ready to get attacked."

Zane looked at Dave, "last night was the full moon?"

Peter and Dave looked at Zane like he was crazy. Dave replied, "Remember we did a run last night to celebrate it?"

Zane said, "Last night was the full moon."

Peter replied, "I thought we established it was a full moon. Why do you keep saying that?"

Zane replied, "Let's go get the newly mated. We have to get back to camp fast." He zooms ahead to the cabin.

Peter and Dave slow down their pace. "Why is he fixated on the full moon?"

Dave replies, "I have no idea, but it caused him to zoom over to their cottage. It means we walk slow enough he interrupts and not us." Then they start to walk even slower as they laugh.

Zane gets to the cottage and bangs on their door. He yells, "Get out here. You're needed back at camp."

He hears a growl, "We are sleeping. Let us sleep."

Zane growls back and uses his Delta voice command, "Be back at camp fully dressed within," he glances at his watch, "Fifty-one minutes or you will be busted down to grunts."

Tyrone throws the door open with a towel wrapped around his middle, "you dare use that delta command on a Lycan?" He snarls.

Zane snarls back, "You will remember I am DELTA ZANE SOMMER-HUTTON FROM JUNIPER PACK. YOU MIGHT ALSO REMEMBER WHO MY UNCLE IS. YOU WILL BE BACK AT CAMP NOW IN FIFTY MINUTES OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES." He stops and then takes a deep breath, and exhales slowly, "I am sorry I had to interrupt, but we may be pulling out of here if my mate found a place for us to camp tonight. The alpha near here is not very friendly. He met us at the border, and we never got onto his land. But says he doesn't know anyone. With safety in mind, I want my mate away from hostile alpha."

Tyrone looks at him, "Mate, not be safe. Will be showered, dressed, and load up our car within thirty minutes." He slams the door in Zane's face.

Zane turns around and starts walking back. He sees Dave, and Peter growls, "You think you're so funny shuffling your feet like old men?"

Dave looks at Peter, "Not a scratch on him. The rumors must not be true about newly mated Lycan from a full moon."

Zane rolls his eyes, "Now got to get back to mate. She should not be working. She should be resting." He turns and runs back to camp.

Dave gets a concerned look, "is something wrong with a mate?" As he turns to follow quickly. Peter turns and follows them back at a slower pace.

Zane says, "Yes, last night was a full moon."

Dave curses, "What so special about the full moon."

Zane calls back, "She didn't go into heat?"

Dave trips and falls, stunned. He then jumps up and takes off after his brother. Peter then smiles and slows down his pace to a slow walk.

Back at the camp, Cami made a dozen giant hoagies. She pulled out bags of chips. She then sat down on the couch, making phone calls. "We will see you later today. Thank you."

As she says thank you and disconnects, Dave and Zane force their way through the door. Dave falls first, and Zane lands on him. She looks over, concerned at them. They are both wearing goofy smiles. She calms down, "land-sakes, I am sure your parents taught you to go through the door one at a time."

They jump up and look at each other, "then both shout at her- "Last night was the full moon."

She stands up and looks at her mates, "Yes, and we had a nice run before going to bed."

Zane rolled his eyes, "let me say it this way. Last night was the first full moon after we mated."

She looks at him like he is crazy. "Yes?"

Dave quickly moves to her side and sniffs her. He whispers, "What should have happened at last night's full moon?"

She turns at gazes up at Dave. Zane moves to the other side. He whispers, "What did not happen?" He then sniffs her.

She turns toward him. As she looks him in the eyes, she gasps and puts her hand on her stomach. Zane and Dave place their hands on top. She whispers, "No heat, I will be a mamma."

They sit down on the couch, snuggling. A little bit later, Peter, Tyrone, and Tyrick walk in. Peter says, "It is precisely one hour.

She looks up, and they are all smirking. "Close the door. We aren't in a barn." She goes to stand up, "Let me get lunch handed out."

The five men shout, "No!"

Peter says, "We can get it. Then we will eat and talk." He goes over and washes his hands. He grabs the paper plates with two sandwiches on each of them.

Tyrick and Tyrone wash their hands. Tyrone points to the refrigerator, "You grab the drinks. I will grab the chips off the counter."

Tyrick replies, "In the cooler, we still have deserts left. Let me grab them." He walks outside to the car and pulls out the cooler. He stops and listens. He looks around and sees nothing. Then walks back into the camper. He closes the door and sets the cooler in front of the couch. Dave walks over and puts six soda bottles on the cooler. Then sits by his mate. Tyrick says, "Do you know we have company outside?"

Cami replied, "They are watching to ensure we leave this area. They followed us down the mountain." Tyrone tenses up. "Relax, Bow-Tie; they won't do anything. They will watch to make sure we vacate the area. Now let's eat."

Tyrone looks at her, "Bow-Tie?"

She had taken a bite of her sandwich when she swallowed the food. "You both are named Ty. You mated and are knotted together—your Bow-Tie. So that you know, I turned on that machine you showed me that makes this RV soundproof. Our friends outside cannot hear us." She takes another bite.

Tyrone looks at her, "So that you know, I hate nicknames. What the hell happened that we need that gadget on? Why do we have followers?"

Cami said, "Peter and I saw the bald guy as we approached the territory."

Dave and Zane said, "Where and when? We did not see him."

Cami said, "You two were concentrating on the obvious lead wolf of the patrol placed there to stop us from entering the territory. You were being rude and hostile about it. Peter was ready to blurt out what he saw, and we were within their hearing. I had to stop all three of you, and it worked."

Dave and Zane yelled, "That is why you kissed Peter?"

Peter yelled, "That's why you kissed me?"

Tyrick and Tyrone started laughing. Tyrone said, "You kissed him to shut him up." He laughed more. "That distracted your mates from being rude."

She grinned at them, "And it worked."

Dave and Zane wrapped their arms around her. It almost sent their food to the floor, but she saved it with her hands. "Ours," they said.

She said, "Yes, I am yours. Now no more talking until we finished eating. I'm hungry."

They finished eating. Cami said, "I contacted my brother, Adam. He will meet us at camp about two hours from here.  It is a summer camp, and we know the person in charge. We need to set up surveillance. However, we will be leaving east toward where SNAP is currently.  When we know we aren't being followed anymore, we will head to our true destination."

Dave asks, "Where is it?"

"Patience. You will know soon enough where that camp is. When outside, Tyrick will get a phone call. He will be told his momma is in the hospital. Tyrick will get upset. Tyrone will comfort him. Then we will head west after you come back in and pack bags. You will bring those bags and put them in Tyrick's car. You will take off west toward his home.  Once you're sure you're not followed, you will message me.  I will text you our location once you tell me you lost your tail."

Tyrone says, "I can do that."

"I am going to give Peter my oversized purse. Peter, I need an outfit that smells strongly with your scent. "

"Ok."

"We are going to stop at Mom and Pop store in Tennessee.  Peter will need you to sneak out the back and lay down low in my car.  Make sure before you leave the store to spray yourself with a scent begone."

"I don't have any."

"Well, I do. I will get you some when I grab my purse for your clothes. I will spray the bag so it won't have my scent anymore, either. Ensure you snap the bag closed so your scent cannot escape."

"Ok. I can do that, but why?"

"I have a friend who will be there in the restroom in the back. I will give him my purse.  He will put on your clothes. Make sure you're wearing a hat and glasses.  With him wearing your clothes, he will smell like you. We will go outside the store and talk for a few minutes. Mates are going to get handsy."

Dave and Zane say, "We like  this part of the plan."

She looks and smiles, "I knew you would. Well,  once Peter links us, he is hidden behind my car. I will give you both kisses.  Fake Peter will then yell, 'Get the hell away from me.' We will tell him sure and run and jump in my car. We will zoom away. Once we are sure we are not being followed,  we will head toward the meetup point."

Tyrone asks, "What about Fake Peter?"

Fake Peter will get in the SUV and drive straight to SNAP at Eaglewood Pack. He will give a letter to Alpha Charlie.    Dave or Zane, before we do our handsy scene, you will take Fake Peter into the RV and give him some particular story or words that only Charlie would only know about. That way, Charlie will see that message is from us and not a trick."

"Ok, how about..."

She kisses Dave's lips. Then Zane says, "What about..." she leans over and kisses his. Then puts her fingers over their mouths to indicate be quiet. "Don't tell anyone until you get Fake Peter behind closed doors."

"Ok," they reply.

By the way, Peter will drive my car to Genesee. You two will be in the SUV. I will stay in the trailer to write the letter to your brother. We wanted to tell Charlie in person, but before we leave this RV, you two will call and tell your brother you have found your mate. That way, he will know who this letter is from."
