"Today's the day Tikki! Today's the day I'm going to confess my feelings to Adrian!" Marinette dropped in her chair and spun to her desktop opening her screensaver. "Oh Adrian..." She let out a small sigh and giggled. "Mari! You're gonna be late for your first day!!" Marinette jumped up realizing the time. "Ahh! Come on Tikki!!" Marinette grabbed her coin bag tossing a few cookies in with it, holding it open for Tikki. As soon as she flies in Mari closes the bag and runs down the steps. On her way out the door she grabbes A cinnamon roll and rushes to school.

-At school-

"Girl, what do you do in the mornings that makes you late?" Alya snickers setting her bag on the floor next to her seat. Marinette pants gasping for her breath as she drops herself in her seat beside Alya. "Alya, I don't do anything! I just don't wake up on time." Marinette lies. Her and Alya talk until the bell rings. Adrian and Nino walk in followed by Mrs.Bustier, The Teacher. Adrian And Nino take their usual spot next in front of Mari and Alya. "Hey Als." Nino says turning in his his seat. Alya giggled. "Hey Babe. Have you checked out the ladyblog?!" Alya says super excited. Adrian turns looking at Marinette. "Hey Mari! How was your summer?" he smiles and Marinette totally blanks. 'OMG OMG OMG!! WHAT DO I SAY WHAT DO I SAY?!' Mari smiled and laughed nervously. "It was great! thanks! Uhh-ummm- H-how was yours?" Alya looked at her love struck friend in shock. 'She didn't studder that much... What is going on?...' She thought. Before she could ask she was cut off by the teachers lesson. 'Guess it'll have to wait'

The bell rang throughout the empty hallways. Adrian was packing his bag and about to walk out the door when--"A-adrian! Wait!" Adrian leaned back in the doorway to see Marinette was calling his name. "Hey Mari. Whats up?" Adrian walks over to Marinette blushing. "I- uhm... Wanted to know... A-are you f-free this Saturday? And uhmm... m-maybe we can get coffee?" Marinette barely was able to choke out. Adrian stood in shock. "Princess, are you falling for me?" Marinette stopped dead. "What d-did you just c-call me?" Adrian realized what he had said. "It's something that I call my friends! I'm sorry if it came out weird!!" Marinette had thought it sounded familiar but shrugged it off. (A/N *Facepalms* Audience *Facepalms*) "But... I'm sorry. I have feelings fr someone else. Can we still be still be friends though?" tears stung Mari's eyes. She knew she had no chance with him. "Yeah... We can..."Her voice cracked. "Mari... MARI WAIT!!" Adrian yelled after her as she ran through the hallway down the stairs and down the street. When she got home she ran into her bedroom and cried. Soon after there were taps on her balcony door. She opened it cautiously and walked up the steps. She looked around her terrace and sniffled. A big black silhouette dropped down behind her. She turned around startled to find the feline heroine. He looked at her face. Tears streaks running down her cheeks, her eyes puffy and red, her hair messy and loose from her usual, tight hair ties. 'Did I hurt her that much?...' he thought of the heart broken expression she had when he put her offer down. All he did was pull her into a tight hug. Marinette resisted at first and hugged him back crying into his shoulder. He picked her up bridal style and took her to her bed. He lay her down and pulled the duvet over her. "Shhh... Shhh... It's okay... He's way out of your league... You deserve better." The black cat soothed. Marinette made her last sniffle. "Thank you Chat... You're not such a flirt after all..." Mari weakly smiled. He smiled back and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight princess... Sweet dreams." "Goodnight kitten..." And with that he leaped out of the balcony and back to his mation getting into his own bed after detransforming and giving a cranky kwami cheese.
