Movies (Chapter 22)~One Spellbook
Travis' POV
A Couple Hours Later...
Once Zane is asleep on Aphmau's couch, I get up and start to walk out. Aphmau looks up at me, "Where're you going?" Aphmau whispers.
"Somewhere to have a chat." I reply quietly, not wanting to give out much (if any) information.
Aphmau nods, glances down at Zane, then back at the TV. I walk off, careful to not slam the door behind me. I storm over to Lucinda's house, my blood boiling. My eyes are purple, the small bit of sun in the sky shimmering on them. My skin hasn't changed yet, only the eyes and their color.
I burst through the door, "Lucinda! Katelyn!" I bellow.
I slam the door behind me and storm inside, "I see you've let yourself in..." Lucinda glances at me as her and I both stand in the doorway, ten feet away from each other. Lucinda scowls, "How impolite." Lucinda raises her hands. My feet float off of the floor. I feel myself being pushed against the door, "You really should've knocked.." Lucinda pauses, a smirk growing on her face, "It would've been much easier for you." Lucinda takes me off the door, just to smash me against it once again.
I wince in pain, "Lucinda, why're you doing this?" I ask in a small voice.
"Which part? Punishing you or destroying Zane?" She snarls.
"Destroying Zane!" I muster up an exclamation.
"Oh, well..." Katelyn walks into the room, "Because we love you, Travis. Even know we may be rivals... We want our man and we're going to get him." Katelyn finishes Lucinda's sentence.
"And why're you 'Punishing Me'?" I question.
"Because you love that demon." Lucinda snarls. She throws me against the wall once again. Horns stick out from my head, "Awwwh... Is little demon Travis getting mad now?" Lucinda asks in a taunting voice (that kind of voice you'd use for a baby. Ughhhh I hate that voice). She puffs her lips out, pouting.
"Let me go!" I growl out a command.
Lucinda thinks for a moment, "Uhh...." She glances at me, "Not a chance." She snarls.
I feel myself being pushed against the wall once again. I wince again. The spell release itself from my body and I fall flat on the floor. I groan, but get up quickly. My skin becomes gray.
"You asked for it." My voice is demonic.
A spellbook magically appears in my palm. With the spell book, a purple ball of magic grows in my palm.
"Don't mess with a warlock." That's all I say before throwing balls of magic everywhere.
Lucinda, nor Katelyn, have a moment to react before they're knocked out cold. I scowl, then leave. My running is faster than usual. I rush into my house, passing past Laurance and Dante, who're sitting in the living room. Garroth glances at me weirdly from the kitchen, but I ignore his glares and bolt down the stairs. I slam the door of my room shut and slide down the wood, panting. I drop the spell book on the floor by me and curl up into a weird ball. My face is in my hands, which are balanced on my knees.
"I'm sorry, Zane. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I repeat. I feel myself turning back to normal as I keep apologizing to thin air, "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." I continue.
"Sorry for what?" Zane's voice makes it to my ears.
My eyes grow widen as I immediately seem to go mute, "N-Nothing!" I stutter.
Zane pushes himself into the room and sits down by me. He accidentally sits on the spell book. He pulls it out from under him and runs his hand over the hardcover.
"'Spellbook For Warlocks'." Zane reads. His eyes become shaded from his bangs, his whole face covered now, "You were in that form... Weren't you?" He assumes. I gulp, "I can sense your fear. Tell me the truth." He mumbles.
I stop myself and think for a moment before responding, "Yes." I reply hesitantly after taking a few moments to say something, "Are you mad at me?" I ask.
Zane shuffles around a bit, the shade leaving his face, "Well... I'm not happy, but I'm not mad either." He says. I glance at him, "Why? What happened?" He asks.
"Lucinda happened." I mumble.
"What happened with Lucinda?" He urges me to say more.
"She uhh... She tried to fight me. She threw me against the wall with some magic and I had to fight back." I explain, summing everything up in the length of just a couple sentences.
Zane nods slowly, "I understand." He murmurs.
"What?" I ask, making sure that I heard him right.
Zane glances at me, "I said, 'I understand'. Would you like me to repeat myself?" He questions.
"N-No." I stutter in response.
Zane gets up, "Are you ok?" He asks, looking down at me.
He offers a hand, so I gladly accept and pick myself off of the ground. I wipe the small amount of dust off of my pants before speaking, "Not at all." I reply, looking him straight in his icy blue eyes. Zane hugs me. I return the gesture.
After a couple seconds, we pull back, "I love you." Zane confesses.
"W-Well.." I can barely speak.
"I love you too."
